Welcome to my Back to Basics Tournament!

Rules:

Sleep Clause - You can only put one of your opponent to sleep a a time. If your opponent used Rest, it doesn't count. Effect Spore is also an exception.

Species Clause - No 2+ of the same Pokemon per team. Example: 2 Magikarps are on your team.

Hax Items Clause- No Bright Powder, Focus BAND, Quick Claw, King's Rock, Razor Fang, Scope Lens, or Razor Claw.

Evasion Clause - No Double Team or Minimize.

OHKO Clause - No Horn Drill, Sheer Cold, Guillotine, or Fissure.

Self KO Clause - You cannot use Selfdestruct, Explosion, or Destiny Bond if you are down to your last Pokemon.

Soul Dew Clause - You cannot use the item Soul Dew.

Ubers are banned.

Rotom Formes are not allowed, Legal Hacks are not allowed.

Single Elimination.

Standard OU? I'll play.

EDIT:

You should probably add in rules regarding alternate forms (i.e. Rotom) and "legal hacks", the latter of which I would highly recommend banning personally.

also, I think I have a copy of an awesome naive flygon that has perfect ivs in hp, atk., and speed... If I can find it, will that be good enough for a prize?

If not, I can always deposit a lv.1-40 pokemon into gts in my diamond for my rng-abused timid palkia in my platinum so I can trade it to my diamond for gts cloning purposes, w/o the worry of the lv. 1-40 pokemon being taken by someone else in the process, so the tourney winner will win a copy of my rng-abused timid palkia, unless you don't think it's appropriate for a prize...

^ So, is any of the aforementioned pokemon ok for a prize?

Alright, I'll have you all added shortly. There's 17 atm, so I'll see how long it takes to get 32, and if it's not very long or more people are wanting in, I'll extend it to 64, but that'll be the max that I stop it at.

gregj92, Both of those would be acceptable as a prize. Can you post what you are offering in this format:

Also, I've edited the Rules to state that Rotom Formes are allowed, and Legal Hacks are allowed.

This defeats the entire purpose of wi-fi. If people want to use fake pokemon they might as well use shoddy. I don't even care about battling hacks, i do it daily on the battle me thread, I just don't want to battle hacks in a tournament.

In that case, I'll ban legal hacks. I didn't see the harm in doing it, but now that you have pointed it out, legal hacks are banned.

I don't think this is a prize, but if people record epic battles and upload them to they GTS, i can play them back on my DS and upload them to my channel on youtube, with or without commentary, whatever the people want.
