We have precedent on people being kicked from tournaments for temporary bans, let alone permabans. I don't like the idea of letting a permabanned user participate, even though I don't get why the ban. We are still part of smogon.

Yes it wouldn't be my first choice either. I haven't specifically reached out to him, or anyone, but he hasn't expressed interest either. I'm surprised neither Gold nor P2X jumped into the fray.

Check actively with people and get smash to do the same. If really /nobody/ signs up in 3 days or so, we can resume this conversation and see our options.

Maybe someone from a loser team? Toon, FMD or Fort I mean.
