[OVERVIEW]
  • Nasty Plot gives Alolan Raichu the option to set-up and and break switch-ins.
  • It's speed tier allows it to out speed a large portion of the unscarfed meta making it difficult to revenge kill.
  • Fightinium-Z can be used to break through some of it's would be checks after a Nasty Plot boost or some chip damage
  • Poor physical bulk leaves it prone to being revenge killed by Skuntank, Absol, and Shiftry's Sucker Punches and other physical scarfers
  • Without a Nasty Plot boost it can struggle to break or kill threats

[SET]
name: Nasty Plot
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Psyshock / Psychic
move 3: Thunderbolt
move 4: Focus Blast
item: Life Orb / Fightinium Z
ability: Surge Surfer
nature: Timid
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Nasty Plot allows it to boost it's Special Attack allowing it to become a strong breaker against the opponents team
  • Psychic-type stab gives Alolan Raichu a STAB coverage option. Psychic can be used to hit Pokemon with less Special Defense such as Gourgeist and Palossand whereas Psyshock does the opposite hitting Pokemon like Magmortar.
  • Thunderbolt provides Alolan Raichu with another STAB coverage option to hit Mesprit and Charizard.
  • Focus Blast is used for Pokemon such as Ferroseed, Golem, and Piloswine which take very little from either of Alola Raichu's coverage options.

Set Details
========
  • Maximum Speed and a Timid nature allows it to out speed fast Pokemon such as Pyroar and Liepard while also speed tying with Archeops.
  • 252 Special Attack EV's maximize it's power.
  • Fightinium-Z gives it a one-time nuke, while Life Orb can be used if you already have Z move user.
Usage Tips
========
  • Alolan Raichu can come out mid game and click Nasty Plot to break teams for another sweeper to clean up or it can click Nasty Plot to break bulkier teams.
  • Alolan Raichu can also come in late game after a breaker has came in and proceed to clean up the game with it's high speed tier
  • Alolan Raichu should only set up on weaker pokemon, or when it forces a switch such as on Qwilfish
  • Be wary of priority especially Sucker Punch which is the only form of priority that has the potential to outright OHKO it and also fast scarfers when setting up Alolan Raichu
  • Alolan Raichu's Z move can be useful when trying to break teams as it can use Fightinium Z to break Piloswine, Golem, and Ferroseed after a Nasty Plot
  • Try not to set up when Pokemon such as Skuntank or Liepard can cause Sucker Punch and Pursuit 50/50's especially if Alolan Raichu has a good match-up against the opposing team

Team Options
========
  • Alolan Raichu is best used on offensive teams that require a breaker
  • Pokemon that appreciate Lanturn being weakened by Psyshock or Piloswine being weakened by Focus Blast
  • Alolan Raichu appreciates chip damage from Stealth Rock to help it secure kills on bulkier Pokemon such as Assault Vest Lanturn or Spikes since most of it's checks are grounded

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Choice Specs can be ran with Volt Switch over Nasty Plot as this provides immediate power while pressuring mons such as Skuntank not to Pursuit trap, but be wary of locking yourself into it's moves as they can be easy to take advantage of when locked into
  • Choice Scarf can be ran with the same set as Choice Specs to revenge kill smasher's or other scarfers this can be ran on teams as a designated cleaner the same goes here since it's moves can be easy to take advantage of when locked into
  • Grass knot can be used to hit Pokemon such as Gastrodon, Palossand, Mudsdale, and Golurk while still maintaining coverage on Piloswine.
  • Alola Raichium Z can be used as a really strong nuke while also killing Skuntank and Musharna after a Nasty Plot boost, but it doesn't provide the coverage Fightinium Z does
  • Psychium Z is in the same vein as Alola Raichium Z as it can OHKO Lanturn after a Nasty Plot boost, but it doesn't the provide the coverage Fightninium Z does

Checks and Counters
===================

**Sucker Punch**: Strong Sucker Punches from Skuntank, Liepard, Shiftry, Kangaskhan, and Absol can severely weaken or kill Alolan Raichu. Sucker Punch can also cause Pursuit mind games with some of these Pokemon which should be avoided as much as possible

**Scarfers**: Fast scarfers such as Mesprit, Pyroar, Primeape, and Haunter can all kill Alolan Raichu with just a small amount of chip damage.

**Ground-types**: Ground types stop Alolan Raichu from wanting to come in or set up as it can be put in a bad position if it's afraid to click Thunder Bolt which can cause 50/50's versus teams with Piloswine and Mesprit as an example.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Nasty Plot gives Alolan Raichu [the option to set-up and prose as a powerful set up sweeper.] replace with "the option to set-up and break switch-ins."
  • It's speed tier allows it to out speed a large portion of the [unboosted] meta making it difficult to revenge kill. replace with "unscarfed" since they are what is traditionally used to revenge kill stuff like raichu-a
  • Fightinium-Z can be used to break through some of it's would be checks. add that this is subject to settup or after some prior damage, stuff like piloswine doesnt fall to aop flat out
  • Poor physical bulk leaves it prone to being revenge killed by Skuntank, Absol, and Shiftry's Sucker Punches. i think poor physical bulk hinders its ability to survive hits from physical scarfers, even if u gave raichu-a 100 def it would still probably drop to the afformentioned pokes
  • Without a Nasty Plot boost it can struggle to break or kill threats before set up.

[SET]
name: Nasty Plot
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Psychic / Psyshock <---- would like extra qc opinion, i think this should be switched given how fucking good lanturn is.
move 3: Thunderbolt
move 4: Focus Blast
item: Life Orb / Fightinium Z
ability: Surge Surfer
nature: Timid
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Moves
========

  • Nasty Plot allows it to boost it's Special Attack allowing it to become a potential breaker or sweeper. [break common switchins.] i would say more emphasis on breaking here probably the best idea here, nasty plot doesnt really help a pokes ability to sweep or clean up
  • Psychic-type stab gives Alolan Raichu a strong coverage (move) option. Psychic can be used to hit Pokemon with less Special Defense whereas Psyshock does the opposite.
  • Thunderbolt provides Alola Raichu with another stab option to hit
  • Focus Blast is used for Pokemon such as Ferroseed, [Lanturn] your always clicking psychic stab vs this especially if psyshock probs replace with Golem, and Piloswine which take very little from either of Alola Raichu's coverage options

Usage Tips
========
  • Alolan Raichu should come out mid game to break teams for another sweeper [or late game to clean up teams] clean this up and add it as a second point imo
  • Alolan Raichu should only set up on weaker pokemon, or when it forces a switch such as on Qwilfish.
  • Be wary of priority not much priority really threatens it if we are looking at aj, mach and fake out, emphasise sucker punch and fast scarfers and fast scarfers when setting up Alolan Raichu
i would add something about its z-move, why its useful. I would also add smth about maybe not setting up or attempting to break if you know 5050s with pursuit or sucker are about to go down e.g. vs skunk, especially if raichu has a good mu vs the rest of the team

Team Options
========
  • Alolan Raichu is best used on offensive teams that require a breaker or sweeper. not too sure on sweeper, its fast, but it shouldnt be slapped on a team to clean/sweep, that would be a scarfers job
  • Pokemon that appreciate Lanturn being weakened by Psyshock or Piloswine being weakened by Focus blast
  • Alolan Raichu appreciates chip damage from stealth rocks to help it secure kills on bulkier Pokemon such as Assault Vest Lanturn. mention spikes in the same vein, since its checks are pretty much all grounded anyway

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Choice Specs can be ran with Volt Switch over Nasty Plot. add detail that this does not require the risk of setting up, and allows you to break potentially without allowing skunk to pursuit trap
  • Choice Scarf can be ran with the same set as Choice Specs to revenge kill smasher's or other scarfers. this would be your cleaner/sweeper poke
  • Grass knot can be used to hit Pokemon such as Gastrodon, Palossand, and Mudsdale
List some options for the Pokemon user that are plausible but not always recommended due to either being not consistent enough or too outclassed by other Pokemon in the metagame. ---> remove this lol

Checks and Counters

**Sucker Punch**: Strong Sucker Punches from Skuntank, Liepard, Shiftry, and Absol can severely weaken or kill Alolan Raichu

**Scarfers**: Fast scarfers such as Mesprit, Pyroar, Primeape, and Haunter can all kill Alolan Raichu with just a small amount of chip damage.

**Ground-types**: Ground types stop Alolan Raichu from wanting to come in or set up as it can be put in a bad position if it's afraid to click thunder bolt.

**Other strong priority**: Kangaskhan's Fake Out plus a Sucker Punch this can be added to the first point, its sucker thats really revenge killing rather than fake out can kill Alolan Raichu as well as +2 Abomasnows Ice Shard and +2 Lycanroc's Accelrock have a chance to kill or leave it very weak you arent using it to check these pokes tho so i think this point is kinda pointless, sucker punch is the main priority that can revnge kill it + it shouldnt really be taking damage before setting up apart from sr, so it can easily tank assorted hits like a kabu aj etc

List some options for the Pokemon user that are plausible but not always recommended due to either being not consistent enough or too outclassed by other Pokemon in the metagame. you can remove this, it is only in place as a guideline for what to put here.
