SM OU AV Incineroar [First try]

Trying OU RMT for the first time. Always looking for a non standard OU mon to make it more interesting, thus decided to try out this team.

Incineroar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 244 HP / 132 Def / 132 SpD
Careful Nature
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Earthquake

The first member of the team. Equal spread on defense with almost max hp. Nice balanced bulk on either sides with Intimidate and AV helping out further. Walls Heatran like a pro. Also good switch in for Mega char and fairies. Allows slow U-turn to switch in to either of hard hitters. The only problem is speed, its too slow to attack and thus gets worn down fast in case of wrong switch ins.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Discharge
- Heat Wave
- Defog
- Roost

Standard zapdos set to complete the physical side of the defensive core. Also the defoger of the team. Rocks are pretty annoying because of the previous guy's weakness. Rocky helmet is an option, but slow lefties heal is beneficial in longer run due to it providing defog support. Keeping this healthy thus helps the pair.

Greninja-Ash @ Choice Specs
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Water Shuriken
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam

The special sweeper of the team. Standard specs set allows it to blow a hole to pretty much everything if predicted right. Water shuriken is the mvp as it can counter scarfers such as kartana and blacephalon.

Medicham-Mega @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Ice Punch

The physical hitter of the team. And this hard as well. This helps clear out the steel types like magearna and ferro which block Ash Gren easily. As Ash Gren is specs, this guy acts as the pressurizing Mon for the majority of the game. Also the only guy to be able to take care of annoying bulks like toxapex and mega Venusaur. So if you spot them in opponent team save him.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Explosion

Scarfed guy of the team. Standard scarf set with explosion. Mega zam check.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball

Secondary wall, as incineroar tends to die out fast if rocks are up. Check to ground and water types. Standard set with dual attack. Only mon that can help you win against a rain team. Other wise mega pert sweeps out.

As the team only have two dedicated sweepers, it can become a bit tough if you lose one of them early.
Laddered around 1600.

Suggestions are appreciated.

This is a pretty cool team, but it does have some issues against certain threats.

Threatlist:

Offensive Stealth Rock Users (Garchomp, Tyranitar-Mega, Diancie-Mega): Offensive stealth rock users have a decent matchup against you’re team as they are able to threaten your defogger and in turn, Zapdos can not do much to them. Garchomp (Especially the SD Rockium sets) has a strong matchup against your team, forcing Zapdos out, and bringing in landorus, which can be quickly worn down. Others like Tyranitar-Mega and Diancie-Mega can just set stealth rock up and wear down checks in your team like ferrothorn and landorus.

Rain: Rain just demolishes this team especially with ferrothorn as the sole rain check on the team. In your description, you mention that ferrothorn is the water and ground check, but ferrothorn is hit neutrally by ground types moves, which means that it does not check swampert well. Ferrothorn can be 2hkod by swampert after stealth rock, and is only a 1 time switch in. After ferrothorn is ko’d, the rest of the team is swept by a combination of Ash-greninja and swampert-mega.
252+ Atk Swampert-Mega Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 92 Def Ferrothorn: 147-174 (41.7 - 49.4%) -- 21.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Charizard-Mega X: Sets up for free against Zapdos or Incineroar (Depends on if it has set up or not) and can deal some major damage to the team as scarf landorus does not outspeed when at +1 speed. However, landorus can check it and medicham-mega/ash-gren can revenge kill, so not the biggest threat.

Ash Greninja: The team lacks a sturdy ash-greninja check, as the current ferrothorn set can be 2hkod with a little chip. After that, the only other water check is your own greninja, but that isn’t very sturdy.
252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 164+ SpD Ferrothorn: 154-183 (43.7 - 51.9%) -- 12.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Stall: Stall teams also fare well against this team as medicham-mega is walled by Sableye-mega and your hazard setters can’t threaten Sableye. As a result, you won’t be able to wear down the stall team, and it basically wins.

Volcarona: Volcarona also does very well against the team. At +1 it just sweeps the team. Incineroar is an alright check, but after stealth rock, bug buzz z move kos incineroar, and also, scarf landorus can not outspeed a boosted volcarona. However, you can revenge it with medicham mega and ash-greninja, but it will come at a heavy loss.
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Savage Spin-Out (175 BP) vs. 244 HP / 132+ SpD Incineroar: 381-448 (97.1 - 114.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Medicham-Mega: Medicham-mega is able to beat your defensive core, out speeding and 2hkoing Zapdos and 1hkoing ferrothorn and incineroar. However, can be beaten with offensive pressure from greninja and own medicham.

Other potentially problematic mons: Kyureum-B, Mamoswine, Gyarados, Alakazam-Mega,

Suggestions:

While I appreciate the creativity by using incineroar, I don’t really see any distinct niche it would have in OU that can not be fulfilled by other mons. The only niche I could see is a mon that can counter both shift-gear cm magearna (not z-Fleur cannon) and blacephelon.

Overview of changes:
Incineroar -> Rotom Wash
Zapdos -> Heatran
Ice Beam -> Spikes
Ferrothorn -> Tapu-Bulu

Hidden Power Ice -> Defog

Incineroar -> Rotom Wash: Rotom-wash would be a good replacement for incineroar, forming a potent volt-turn core with landorus. Rotom brings in mons like Ferrothorn and Tangrowth, which can be pivoted out of, bringing in mons like medicham-mega and Heatran. Rotom wash also good synergy with the team, taking flying attacks for medicham-mega, and ice and water type attacks for landorus.

Rotom-Wash @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp

Ferrothorn -> Tapu-Bulu: Tapu Bulu is a good replacement to ferrothorn, providing a sturdy rain and ash-greninja check. It also synergises well with Heatran and Rotom wash, creating a FWG core that covers each other’s weaknesses. Tapu Bulu provides grassy terrain, halving the damage of earthquake, protecting it from Garchomp and Heatran. In turn, Heatran and Rotom-wash resist fire, flying, and poison, all of which are Tapu-Bulu’s weaknesses. The set below is smogon’s standard set.

Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Swords Dance
- Wood Hammer
- Superpower
- Synthesis

Zapdos -> Heatran: Heatran completes the FWG core, and greatly improves the matchup against stall, which can be hard for this team to handle. Magma storm allows you to trap mons like chansey, Toxapex, and reunicles, easing the matchup against bulky offense and stall. Most importantly, it is a stealth rocker that can threaten mons like Sableye mega and common stall defoggers like skarmory and zapdos. It also works well with Rotom wash, destroying mons like Tapu Bulu and tangrowth.

Heatran @ Firium Z
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock

Ice Beam -> Spikes: Spikes is better than ice-beam allowing you to wear down switchins and stack some hazards. Furthermore, ice beam does not do enough to ash-greninja switchins like tangrowth, Tapu Bulu, or tapu fini, making Spikes more valuable.

Hidden power ice -> Defog: With zapdos gone, landorus is the team’s new defogger and is a pretty effective one. I replaced HP ice because with zygarde gone, this slot has less value, although you could also replace explosion for defog.
