Common Cores:

This core offers setup with Dragon Dance Tyranitar, Swords Dance Scizor and a neat combination of Surf Latios and Storm Drain Gastrodon



Spread options with Dazzling Gleam, Earthquake and Rock Slide. Garchomp breaks Steel-types for Togekiss, while the same redirect attacks for safe Swords Dance



Trick Room setups, usually with Fake Out Hariyama holding a Flame Orb with Guts



Used by World Champion Sejun, Pachirisu can safely remove Gyarados's main weakness in Electric-types thanks to Follow Me and Volt Absorb



Zapdos paired with a Ground-type like Mamoswine can create a powerful Discharge + Earthquake combination, pressuring the opponent with spread damage


Ludicolo can deal significant damage and support the team with Fake Out, while Rain reduces Fire-power, allowing Scizor to perform greatly



A redirector like Tangrowth paired with Azumarill can allow the Water-type Pokémon to go for safe Belly Drum, being able to wipe the opposing team​

On the role compendium, I recommend adding torkoal onto the list of trick room abusers due to its excellent synergy with cresselia (and excellent power / low speed in general), as well as entei on the list of sun abusers. The later's solid bulk, speed, and power boosted by sun (and immunity to intimidate / fake out) make it a great option for teams seeking to take advantage of sun.
