CAP 3D Modeling Project

Set A for Mollux in my opinion, it looks more stable (the other ones look like Mollux is about to explode with how much it's jiggling! It's especially noticeable in the back sprite). I'd settle for Set B as well since I can see some people liking the way that the lava lamp moves.

Tomohawk is a lot more varied and as such I find it difficult to find a favorite, but I really like Set D for Tomohawk since it's more of a fighting pose. Set A is bland compared to the others but is much more like the original BW sprite so I like that one a lot as well!

Tremendous job as always, QxC. I think a poll is needed for this one :o

Does Tomohawk actually have wings, or is it just a pelt? If it's the former, then Set D looks the most natural. If it's the latter, then it probably shouldn't be flying, and I'd vote for Set A.

Thanks for the comments guys! DJTHED I made a note on the spreadsheet to scale it down in the future (probably after the final gets decided so I only have to do that one!) Rendering the twenty-four sprites again takes too long :P

Here's a speed modeling of Krilowatt's prevo~

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bw8FAxjo2qD_cXJDTTJfa0daZWs

DJTHED, I remember Krilowatt female also has the eyes half open like above... would you mind doing renders for that? Not really that important but still good to have I think, let me know if you're up for it!

paintseagull and Yveltal, I'm gonna take over Pyroak okay? :3

Female Protowatt looks like it's glaring hard XD.

For real though, great job QxC. Keep up the good work. No major things in the animations that I feel the need to nitpick at point out for quality check, and personally I prefer the more dynamic bottom animation.

Aw TY ^.^ I was hoping it'll be cuter just that my speed modeling is kind of a hit and miss. He's going on PS once the stats and stuff is done! As for Tomohawk, option 4 won the poll and a smaller size of it is now on PS. Here's a size compare with the new one..

Tyrogue 2'4" < Grimer 2'7" < Stratagem 2'11" < Tomohawk 4'2" < Swanna 4'3" < Mienshao 4'7" < Machoke 4'11" < Snorlax 6'11" (oh dear)

Mollux has a placeholder on PS but it's subject to change while I collect in the votes. We're not having a forum poll for it cause they're too similar, but if you're blessed with a keen eye and a strong opinion please vote here!

Last but not least Pyroak. I scrapped his UV map and did a new one cause the old ones only works on my reeaallly outdated shaders. (AKA crappy) The new UVs have better mapping ratios and no overlaps and we can now have extra details not possible before, like the pale in his armpits ;D

New UVs are great! Though, I think the textures are a bit too realistic for Showdown.

You are welcome QxC. But I think Pyroak looks too realistic.

No, QxC is not intending the Pyroak to look like that on PS. He's just messing around with his own capabilities. I'm not sure if he'll have a different UV map for the showdown version or if the shader or toner or whatever will automatically compress the map he's shown down into fewer colors with less detail. But I'm 99% sure he was not planning on having the Pyroak PS render look like that either way.

Regardless of whether or not it gets used, that texture is still very nice. Bit of a painted feel, almost... not really Wind Waker-like since that is cel shaded, but that's the vibe it gives me.

Pyroak's rigging is done and also the shaders for his "fire-arms". I've been mostly focusing on the fire effects for now, animations will come later.
Big thanks to Cretacerus, Darquezze and Quanyails for their feedback :D

Stratagem has outlines but they're very thin. It was rendered back when my line compo knowledge was poor so those shaders weren't very good. I'll re-render him when I get the chance. Thanks for the heads up!

Glad you like ^_^ I'm still working to get them more like the official style before they go on PS so there'll be updates coming soon™

Pyroak's models are probably the best we have seen yet, mostly due to the flames.

My biggest issue with them, QxC, is that the flames are made in a very noticeable 'teardrop' shape which doesn't really emulate how fire would work at all and that I'm not sure the flamethrower hands would be kept constantly ignited. The actual oscillation of the color and tonality is on point, though.
