Fire
========

Charizard is blessed with two equally viable Mega Evolutions, which makes it an excellent choice for almost every Fire team. Mega Charizard X makes use of Dragon Dance along with a high Attack stat and Tough Claws to be a potent late-game sweeper, and respectable bulk along with reliable recovery in Roost gives it more opportunities to set up a Dragon Dance. Mega Charizard X's Dragon typing also gives it a handy neutrality to Water-type attacks and a helpful resistance to Electric-type attacks, granting it more opportunities to set up a Dragon Dance. However, Mega Charizard X lacks its other formes' immunity to Ground-type attacks, which leaves it susceptible to common Ground-type attacks from the likes of Mamoswine and Garchomp. It is easily stopped by status, with paralysis and poison specifically hindering its ability to effectively sweep. Charizard is also 4x weak to Stealth Rock before it Mega Evolves and extremely reliant on Flare Blitz to sweep, which means Mega Charizard X is easily worn down.

Mega Charizard Y is a superb wallbreaker, being able to KO bulky walls such as Zapdos and Hippowdon. It also has Drought, which weakens Water-type attacks and enables it to use Solar Beam without needing to charge. Its great coverage in Solar Beam and Focus Blast means it can get past some of its would-be checks and counters such as Swampert and Tyranitar, and access to Defog gives Fire teams a secondary form of entry hazard control.Mega Charizard Y's Flying typing makes it immune to Ground-type attacks, which gives it opportunities to wallbreak, and decent special bulk along with reliable recovery in Roost allows it to take most special attacks with ease. However, Mega Charizard Y is 4x weak to Stealth Rock, so Rapid Spin support from Torkoal is almost always necessary. It also doesn't have the best Defense stat, which means it is particularly susceptible to physical attackers such as Garchomp and Mega Sharpedo. Mega Charizard Y is extremely predictable because of its limited coverage options.

Moves

Dragon Dance allows Mega Charizard X to simultaneously boost its Attack and Speed. Flare Blitz is a powerful Fire-type attack that allows Mega Charizard X to hit Steel-, Grass-, and Ice-types such as Skarmory, Mega Venusaur, and Weavile at the cost of some of its HP. Outrage is a powerful Dragon-type attack that forces Mega Charizard X to use it for two or three turns without switching out. Dragon Claw is a weaker and safer option, but without Outrage, Mega Charizard X cannot break Toxapex. Roost can be used to increase Mega Charizard X's longevity, giving it more opportunities to sweep. Earthquake can be used to hit Heatran and Toxapex, but it comes at the cost of recovery.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment along with a Jolly nature ensures that Mega Charizard X is as fast as possible, allowing it to outspeed Choice Scarf Kyurem-B and Choice Scarf Excadrill after a Dragon Dance. Maximum Attack investment ensures that Mega Charizard X hits as hard as possible. Blaze is preferred over Solar Power so that Charizard doesn't take any unnecessary damage under sun. Charizardite X allows Charizard to become Mega Charizard X, changing its ability to Tough Claws. Tough Claws slightly boosts the power of Mega Charizard X's contact moves.

Usage Tips
========

If Charizard is going to be targeted by a Ground-type attack, it is usually best to not Mega Evolve so that it doesn't take unnecessary damage. Along with this, it is best to try to bluff Mega Charizard Y so that Mega Charizard X can take weak Water- and Electric-type attacks to easily set up a Dragon Dance. Avoid status ailments, specifically paralysis and poison, because they hinder Mega Charizard X's ability to sweep. Use Dragon Dance early-game to wallbreak or late-game to sweep. Use pivots such as Volt Switch Rotom-H and U-turn Victini to give Mega Charizard X more opportunities to set up a Dragon Dance. Stealth Rock should be removed before sending Mega Charizard X in so that it doesn't have to take unnecessary damage. Preserve Mega Charizard X's HP because it needs to be healthy to successfully set up a Dragon Dance. Be careful when locking Mega Charizard X into Outrage, as Fairy-types such as Azumarill and Togekiss can then utilize it as setup bait. Only use Flare Blitz when it is absolutely necessary, because the recoil damage can be devastating. Mega Charizard X should try to set up Dragon Dance once its checks and counters such as Roar Swampert, Unaware Quagsire, and Tyranitar are eliminated.

Team Options
========

Torkoal can set up Stealth Rock and remove entry hazards with Rapid Spin. It can also set up sun with Drought, boosting Mega Charizard X's Fire-type attacks. Rotom-H can set up Light Screen and Reflect, making it much easier for Mega Charizard X to set up a Dragon Dance, while also acting as a decent pivot with Volt Switch. Volcarona can eliminate some of Mega Charizard X's checks such as Slowbro and Swampert, while Mega Charizard X can eliminate Chansey and Dragonite for Volcarona. Victini and Rotom-H can use U-turn and Volt Switch to bring Mega Charizard X in safely. Volcanion can eliminate Rock-and Fairy-types such as Tyranitar and Azumarill, while Mega Charizard X can eliminate Dragon-types such as Dragonite for Volcanion. Infernape can KO troublesome Rock-types such as Tyranitar and Nihilego for Mega Charizard X. Heatran can set up Stealth Rock and eliminate Fairy- and Rock-types with its Steel-type attacks.

Moves
========

Fire Blast is Mega Charizard Y's primary STAB attack and is boosted by Drought. Flamethrower is a more accurate option, but it cannot 2HKO Latios after Stealth Rock. Solar Beam allows Mega Charizard Y to hit Ground- and Water-types such as Swampert and Gastrodon. Focus Blast allows Mega Charizard Y to KO Heatran and Tyranitar, which would otherwise wall it. Roost is used to increase Mega Charizard Y's longevity.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment along with a Timid nature ensures that Mega Charizard Y is a fast as possible, outspeeding threats such as Kyurem-B and Excadrill. Maximum Special Attack investment allows Mega Charizard Y to hit as hard as possible. Blaze is chosen over Solar Power so that Charizard doesn't take any unnecessary damage. Charizardite Y allows Charizard to become Mega Charizard Y, granting it Drought. Drought allows Mega Charizard Y to use Solar Beam in a single turn while halving the damage of Water-type attacks and boosting the power of Fire-type attacks.

Usage Tips
========

It is usually best to remove entry hazards before sending Mega Charizard Y in so that it doesn't lose half of its HP. Use pivots such as U-turn Victini and Volt Switch Rotom-H to bring in Mega Charizard Y safely. Mega Charizard Y should aim to wallbreak early-game, while late-game it can sweep because of its respectable Speed stat. Be careful when using Solar Beam, especially against another weather summoner such as Tyranitar or Pelipper because using it in other weather traps Mega Charizard Y for two turns and halves the power of Solar Beam. Mega Charizard Y should avoid paralysis, as without its Speed stat, it is easily revenge killed by physical attackers such as Kyurem-B and Excadrill. Try to switch Mega Charizard Y in on a predicted double switch so that it doesn't have to take unnecessary damage. Preserve Mega Charizard Y's HP because it needs to be at full HP to take most powerful special attacks. Since Mega Charizard Y has a high Special Attack stat along with Drought, it is usually a great idea to spam Fire Blast. However, Fire Blast has low PP, so it is usually a better to use Solar Beam to KO a weakened target to preserve Fire Blast's PP. Mega Charizard Y should use Drought to easily switch in on weak Water-type attacks such as Scald Slowbro and Lanturn. Since Mega Charizard Y has a decent Special Defense stat, it can easily be switched in on weak special attacks such as Scald from Jellicent and Alomomola.

Team Options
========

Mega Charizard Y is a great choice for most Fire teams because of Drought boosting its teammates' Fire-type attacks while also reducing the damage taken from Water-type attacks. Torkoal can set up Stealth Rock and remove entry hazards with Rapid Spin. It also can take powerful physical attacks for Mega Charizard Y. Victini can use U-turn to bring Mega Charizard Y in safely, while Mega Charizard Y can eliminate physical walls such as Swampert and Landorus-T. Rotom-H can use Volt Switch to bring Mega Charizard Y in safely and is a solid switch-in to Electric-type attacks. Volcanion can take Water-type attacks targeted at Mega Charizard Y and is a reliable check to Belly Drum Azumarill. Infernape can KO Heatran and Tyranitar so that Mega Charizard Y doesn't need to rely on the shaky accuracy of Focus Blast. Volcarona can eliminate bulky Psychic-types such as Mew and Latios for Mega Charizard Y with Bug Buzz. Alolan Marowak is an excellent switch-in to common Electric-type attacks that target Mega Charizard Y and is a superb physical wallbreaker.

Mega Charizard Y can use Defog over Roost to remove entry hazards, but without Roost, it is extremely difficult to preserve Mega Charizard Y's health. Mega Charizard X can use an Adamant nature for added power, but it comes at the cost of being outsped by Kyurem-B and Excadrill.

Checks and Counters

Fire
--------
**Defensive Pokemon**: Certain defensive Pokemon wall Mega Charizard Y and Mega Charizard Y. Special walls such as Chansey and Mantine can easily take multiple hits from Mega Charizard Y and recover off the damage. Physical walls such as Swampert and Hippowdon can take a hit from Mega Charizard X and can phaze it with Roar or Whirlwind .

**Toxapex**: Toxapex can easily take multiple hits from Mega Charizard X and Y while also having reliable recovery in Recover and Haze to negate Mega Charizard X's Dragon Dance boosts. However, it must be wary of Earthquake from Mega Charizard X.

**Heatran**: Heatran can take one Focus Blast from Mega Charizard Y and can KO it with Stone Edge. Heatran also walls Mega Charizard X if it isn't carrying Earthquake.

**Stealth Rock**: Stealth Rock takes half of Mega Charizard Y's health, hindering its ability to wallbreak, while taking a quarter of Mega Charizard X's health, making it difficult to sweep late-game.

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Terrakion and Choice Scarf Latios can outspeed and KO Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y.

**Status**: Status cripples both Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y. Paralysis halving Speed makes it extremely hard for Mega Charizard Y to effectively wallbreak while making it impossible for Mega Charizard X to sweep late-game. Poison slowly wears Mega Charizard X down, making successfully setting up a Dragon Dance difficult.

X > Y, so it should be the first set. For a similar reason, please reorder Overview to speak about X before Y.

Overview:
- X's weakness to Ground should be reworded to be about losing its immunity.
- Y should be noted for being able to use Defog.

Dragon Dance:
Usage Tips:
- Talk about bluffing Y to get free DD

Team Options:
- Heatran?

Wallbreaker:
Usage Tips:
- Talk about using Drought
- Fire Blast being spammable

Team Options:
- Definitely need Alolan Marowak here.
- Heatran for utility

Checks and Counters:
- Heatran doesn't "easily" take a Focus Blast. There is a chance it gets OHKOed if it's not defensive.

QC 1/3

[OVERVIEW]

* Mega Charizard X's Dragon typing gives it handy neutrality to Water-type attacks, while also giving it a helpful resistance to Electric-type attacks and negates its devastating weakness to Stealth Rock.
- Its resistance to Electric and neutrality to Water gives it multiple opportunities to set up, especially due to the fact that its very difficult to predict what form Charizard Mega Evolves into.
* It also has Drought which weakens Water-type attacks targeted at Mega Charizard Y, while also enabling it to use Solarbeam without needing to charge.
- Remove 'targeted at Mega Chzarizard Y', sun also helps other Fire-types take those moves.
* Mega Charizard Y has decent special bulk along with reliable, which allows it to take most special attacks with ease.
- Along with reliable what? Recovery i'm assuming?
* It has Focus Blast to get passed some of its checks and counters such as Heatran and Tyrantiar.
- Just make this a bullet about its movepool and add Solar Beam too.
* It has Defog, which gives Fire teams another form of hazard control.
- 'Another form of hazard control' may seem weird to a new player because it doesn't specify what the primary form of hazard control is (Torkoal).

[SET 1]

Set Details

* Blaze is preferred ability so that Charizard doesn't take any unnecessary damage under sun.
- Again, this can be hard to understand for a newer player because Blaze has nothing to do with sun. Specify 'Blaze is the preferred ability over Solar Power so that . . . .'

Usage Tips

* Along with this it is best to try to bluff Mega Charizard Y so that Mega Charizard X can easily set up a Dragon Dance.
- Add something about setting up an expected Electric-type attack or a weaker Water-type move.

Team Options

* Torkoal can set up Stealth Rock, while also being able to remove entry hazards with Rapid Spin. It can set up sun with Drought boosting Mega Charizard X's Fire-type
- Sentence seems incomplete.
* Rotom-H can set up Light Screen and Reflect making it much easier for Mega Charizard X to set up a Dragon Dance.
- Can use Volt Switch to bring it in safely, can take care of bulky Water-types that beat Mega Charizard X.
* Victini and Rotom-H can use U-turn and Volt Switch to bring in Mega Charizard X safely.
- Make this a bullet about Victini only and mention how its excellent at wearing down the two's shared checks.
* Heatran can set up Stealth Rock, while being able to eliminate Fairy-types with its Steel-type attacks.
- And Rock.

[SET 2]

Usage Tips

* Since Mega Charizard Y has a powerful special attack stat along with Drought it is usually a great idea to spam Fire Blast.
- Using Fire Blast unnecessarily and wasting its PP isn't wise though, because it has only 8 PP. Add that Solarbeam should be opted for when KOing a weakened Pokemon not only to preserve PP but also to reliably hit it.
- Mega Charizard Y can be brought in on weaker special attacks since its Special Defense is actually pretty good.

QC 2/3

Overview:
- Should also add how bad it is for Charizard to still take a 4x damage to Stealth Rock before it Mega Evolves into X.
- Also add how its most powerful Fire move in Flare Blitz makes it easily worn down.

Stealth Rock should be removed before sending Mega Charizard X in so that it doesn't have to take unnecessary damage. Preserve Mega Charizard X's HP because it needs to be at high HP healthy (optional, repetition) to successfully set up a Dragon Dance. Be careful when locking Mega Charizard X into Outrage, as Fairy-types such as Azumarill and Togekiss can then utilize it as setup bait. Only use Flare Blitz when it is absolutely necessary, (AC) because the recoil damage can be devastating. Mega Charizard X should try to set up Dragon Dance once its checks and counters such as Roar Swampert, Unaware Quagsire, and Tyranitar are eliminated.

Team Options
========

Volcarona can eliminate some of Mega Charizard X's checks such as Slowbro and Swampert, while Mega Charizard X (RH) can eliminate Chansey and Dragonite for Volcarona.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Be careful when using Solar Beam, especially against another weather summoner such as Tyrantiar Tyranitar or Pelipper because using it in other weather traps Mega Charizard Y for two turns and halves the power of Solar Beam.

========

Mega Charizard Y is a great choice for most Fire teams because of Drought boosting its teammates' Fire-type attacks(space)while also reducing the damage taken from Water-type attacks.

Other Options
=============

Fire
--------
Mega Charizard Y can use Defog over Roost to remove entry hazards, but without Roost, it is extremely difficult to preserve Mega Charizard Y's health. Mega Charizard X can use an Adamant nature for added power, but it comes at the cost of being outsped by Kyurem-B and Excadrill.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fire
--------
**Defensive Pokemon**: Certain defensive Pokemon wall Mega Charizard Y and Mega Charizard Y.
