[OVERVIEW]
  • Has a ridiculously high SpA stat at 95
  • Has decent defenses (75 Def and 55 SpD)
  • Has access to a useful ability: Magnet Pull
  • Has access to powerful STAB moves and decent move coverage
  • Common Pokemon in the metagame can check Magnemite easily due to it's type weaknesses being commonly used; such as Mienfoo
  • Most of its checks can outspeed it without any Speed modifications like Choice Scarf
  • Low HP stat
[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Volt Switch
move 2: Flash Cannon
move 3: Thunderbolt
move 4: Hidden Power Fire / Hidden Power Ground
ability: Magnet Pull
evs: 240 SpA / 240 Spe
nature: Timid / Modest
item: Choice Scarf

[SET COMMENTS]
  • Volt Switch to keep Magnemite's momentum and so it can switch out to avoid getting hit by it's checks
  • Flash Cannon is one of Magnemite's powerful STAB moves which can do massive neutral damage and luckily lower the opponent's Special Defense making it more weak
  • Thunderbolt is Magnemite's most powerful STAB move which can deal tons of damage due to Magnemite's godly base SpA
  • Hidden Power Fire can be used to attack opposing Magnemite, Ice-types, and Grass-types which can otherwise deal damage and trouble Magnemite
  • Hidden Power Ground can provide Magnemite with a lot of type coverage as it can take out opposing Magnemite, Chinchou, Dark-types, and Fire-types which can otherwise check it completely
  • A Timid nature can make sure Magnemite can at least outspeed all Pokemon that don't have a Speed modification such as Choice Scarf so that it can proceed to attack safely
  • Alternatively a Modest nature can also be used to make Magnemite's attacks deal more damage to opponents
  • A 240 SpA and 240 Spe ev spread is to ensure Magnemite's attacking and outspeeding capabilities to the max so Magnemite can be fast and powerful at the same time making it very powerful
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=========
  • Signal Beam can also be an option as it can effectively take out Grass-types and Dark-types such as Lileep and Houndour, it's 10% to confuse opposing Pokemon can also be of use
  • Hidden Power Grass can take out Chinchou and Ground-types effectively however the other Hidden Power slots can deal more type coverage to Pokemon that check Magnemite
  • Hidden Power Fighting also can hit Steel-, Rock-, Ice- and Dark-types effectively but most of the types Hidden Power Fighting hits, Flash Cannon can take care of that more efficiently
Team Options
=========
  • Magnemite can't really deal with Dark-type Pokemon that don't have a typing that Magnemite can hit super effectively so Fighting-type Pokemon are of a great asset to Magnemite as they can also take down most special walls such as Munchlax
  • Pokemon that have moves such as Defog and Rapid Spin are much appreciated since Magnemite's longevity is very crucial for it to do what it does best and entry hazards drain Magnemite's HP leaving it vulnerable to some attacks
  • Pokemon that are resistant to Knock Off or aren't that reliant on their item can be of great help to Magnemite as it is very reliant on it's item and it wouldn't be as useful without it so Pokemon that can take a Knock Off for Magnemite can save it's usefulness in-game
name: Bulky Attacker
move 1: Magnet Rise / Hidden Power Grass
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: Flash Cannon
move 4: Hidden Power Fire / Thunderbolt
ability: Magnet Pull / Sturdy
evs: 156 HP / 36 Def / 240 SpA / 76 SpD
nature: Modest
item: Eviolite

[SET COMMENTS]
  • Magnet Rise can be used to evade Ground-type attacks that otherwise do 4x damage to Magnemite which can be very dangerous and can take it out quickly
  • Alternatively Hidden Power Grass can be run with Sturdy as it can take a Ground-type attack and retaliate with Hidden Power Grass, although this might leave Magnemite weak to priority moves or Pokemon that outspeed it
  • Hidden Power Grass is also very useful as it can OHKO common Ground-type Pokemon such as Diglett and Drilbur
  • Volt Switch is Magnemite's common escape method as it can safely switch Magnemite out and switch in a reliable check against the opposing Pokemon
  • Flash Cannon is Magnemite's basic Steel-type STAB move which can do heavy damage even if it's neutral damage
  • Hidden Power Fire can be used in conjunction with Magnet Pull as it can trap Steel-types and hit them super effectively with Hidden Power Fire
  • Thunderbolt works with both abilities as Magnemite's strongest STAB move which can dish out tons of damage to Pokemon super effectively and neutrally
  • A Modest nature is used to maximize Magnemite's capabilities without reducing it's bulkyness so it can attack and defend at the same time
  • The complex ev spread maximizes Magnemite's offensive capabilities and it's defensive capabilities so it can dish out heavy damage and take a lot of blows as well
  • The Eviolite is used if Magnemite decides to run Magnet Rise instead so it makes Magnemite more bulky and can take a lot of damage
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=========
  • Signal Beam can also be used in moveslot 4 as it can deal damage to Dark-type Pokemon such as Pawniard and Houndour and it can also deal damage to Grass-type Pokemon such as Lileep that wall it, it's 10% confusion chance is also quite promising
  • Magnemite can also utilize Choice Specs with this set if it decides to run Hidden Power Grass instead of Magnet Rise so it can be a bulky special sweeper making it very offensive although it might have to switch out more often
Team Options
=========
  • Fighting-type Pokemon are much appreciated by this Magnemite set as they can help take out Dark-type Pokemon that Magnemite doesn't have super effective type coverage against
  • Magnemite depends on it's Eviolite to maintain it's bulk so a Dark-type Pokemon or any Pokemon that is resistant to Knock Off or isn't reliant on it's item as much can take a hit for Magnemite so it stays safe with it's precious item
  • Although Magnemite is more bulky than the other set, entry hazards can still be a pain as Magnemite wants to dish as much damage as it can while also taking damage, entry hazards will just let it take less hits which isn't good so Defog and Rapid Spin users are much appreciated
Checks and Counters
==============
  • Magnemite's longevity is very crucial since the longer it stays on the field the more Pokemon it can take down, so entry hazards can damage this and make Magnemite vulnerable to super effective moves
  • Magnemite also has trouble when Chinchou is switched into it if it decides to run Hidden Power Fire as Magnemite can't escape due to Volt Absord and Chinchou can just wall Magnemite until it faints
  • Special Walls are also a problem as Magnemite can't really deal much damage with the moves it has unless it can run Hidden Power Fighting to deal with the common special walls that are sent against it but it would still have a problem unless it uses Volt Switch to escape
  • Fighting-type Pokemon are a pain against Magnemite due to it not having any super effective coverage moves against them and they can easily break down Magnemite with their super effective STAB moves
  • Water- and Ground-type Pokemon such as Wooper or Water-type Pokemon that are resistant to Electric-type attacks such as Goldeen and Chinchou can wall any of Magnemite's attacks and proceed to KO it unless Magnemite runs Hidden Power Grass by chance

Ok so you clearly dont have any idea of what youre talking about, theres plenty of stuff thats wrong in this including but not limited to:
  • Signal Beam can also be an option as it can effectively take out Grass-types and Dark-types such as Lileep and Houndour, it's 10% to confuse opposing Pokemon can also be of use
This whole line for example is terrible. Whats signal beam really hitting, shroomish? (youre better off hitting lileep with flash cannon and houndour isnt even weak to bug)
  • Hidden Power Fire can be used to attack opposing Magnemite, Ice-types, and Grass-types which can otherwise deal damage and trouble Magnemite
What? Ice types, again, are being hit by flash cannon, you should be mentioning ferroseed which is what the set is being used to trap,,,

"Magnemite can't really deal with Dark-type Pokemon that don't have a typing that Magnemite can hit super effectively so Fighting-type Pokemon are of a great asset to Magnemite as they can also take down most special walls such as Munchlax"
Again, what? No dark type gives mag trouble at all as he just uses volt switch and deals big damage on them, heck the most 3 relevant dark type mons are houndour, vullaby and pawn (on top of my head), vull is weak to elec and you trap and kill pawn with hp fire/fight lol, or you know you volt switch out cause thats what mag does, and you dont even mention having a reliable chou answer in team option but you mention this instead? lol

Theres more stuff but cba to nitpick everything, sry but im giving this a QC Rejected 1/3

I had to tell you that Berry Juice was banned from BW LC, in addition to that, Sturdy should not be on the bulky analysis, along with everything that vileman said.
