PU Miltank

uploaded -zard

[OVERVIEW]

Miltank is one of the most reliable Stealth Rock setters in PU thanks to a high HP stat and great mixed bulk, along with access to reliable recovery in Milk Drink. Good natural bulk means Miltank is able to check prominent threats such as Pyroar and Mesprit. Its support and setup movepool also allows it to either paralyze or poison one of these threats or otherwise set itself up. Miltank also has a fantastic Speed tier for a defensive Pokemon, allowing it to outspeed both neutral-natured base 70 and positive-natured base 60 Speed Pokemon with a small amount of investment. Along with Stealth Rock, it also has several other utility moves at its disposal such as Toxic, Heal Bell, Seismic Toss, and the previously mentioned Milk Drink, allowing it to effectively support its teammates and provide excellent role compression. Access to both Thick Fat and Sap Sipper means Miltank is able to pick what it wants to check, with Thick Fat helping against the likes of Abomasnow and Pyroar and Sap Sipper checking Pokemon such as Lilligant and Ferroseed. While Miltank possesses many good qualities, its Normal typing gives it no resistances and only one immunity, and strong neutral hits are able to 2HKO it. Miltank is also susceptible to entry hazards, as extra damage on it means it will fail to check the previously mentioned Mesprit and Pyroar. It also struggles with four-moveslot syndrome, as it often has to pick what counters it; for example, if it decides to use Heal Bell over Toxic, then Pokemon like Palossand and Golurk are able to switch in freely while giving foes such as Musharna the chance to set up.

evs: 248 HP / 240 SpD / 20 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Stealth Rock is used to wear down the opposing team with residual damage. Toxic allows Miltank to cripple Pokemon like Gourgeist-XL with status. Heal Bell allows Miltank to cure itself and its team of status effects such as Toxic poison. Thunder Wave can be used to check faster foes if neither Toxic or Heal Bell is needed, allowing Miltank to cripple setup sweepers like Lilligant and Carracosta. Seismic Toss is an option to allow Miltank to deal consistent damage and is especially effective against Pokemon reliant on Eviolite for their bulk such as Ferroseed. Body Slam is Miltank's main STAB move coming from a decent base 80 Attack. The added threat of paralysis can deter frail Pokemon reliant on their Speed such as Jynx, Primeape, and Pyroar from switching in on Miltank, although it does leave Miltank weaker versus Steel-types. Milk Drink is necessary to keep Miltank healthy to be able to function as a cleric and allow it to repeatedly switch into Pokemon it counters.

Set Details
========

A Calm nature with 248 HP EVs and 240 Special Defense EVs is used to maximize Miltank's special bulk and minimize Stealth Rock damage, though a Careful nature should be used with Body Slam. A specially defensive spread is used because Miltank still has good physical bulk to allow it to check Pokemon such as Kangaskhan. 20 Speed EVs allow Miltank to outspeed positive-natured base 60 Speed Pokemon like Abomasnow, Assault Vest Hitmonchan, and Ludicolo. Leftovers gives Miltank some passive recovery. Thick Fat gives Miltank useful resistances to Fire and Ice, allowing it to shrug off most Fire- and Ice-type moves such as Fire Blast from Pyroar and Blizzard from Abomasnow. Sap Sipper makes Miltank immune to Grass-type moves and can be used to wall Lilligant lacking Breakneck Blitz. It also gives Miltank useful immunities to Leech Seed from Gourgeist-XL and Sleep Powder from Lilligant while boosting the power of its Body Slam when hit by a Grass-type move.

Usage Tips
========

When running Thick Fat, Miltank should be used to take strong Ice- and Fire-type moves from Pokemon such as Abomasnow and Pyroar. On the other hand, Sap Sipper Miltank should absorb Grass-type moves from Pokemon such as Lilligant and Alolan Exeggutor. It should also be used to switch into Leech Seed from Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL. Heal Bell should be used when your team is suffering from status effects and to heal Miltank of status. Use Milk Drink to keep Miltank healthy to allow it to repeatedly switch in and set up Stealth Rock. Milk Drink allows Miltank to keep racking up Toxic damage on opposing Pokemon. Spreading Toxic on Pokemon like Musharna, Gastrodon, and Ghost-types like Sableye can help Miltank's teammates.

Team Options
========

Psychic-type Pokemon such as Mesprit and Musharna can help take care of Fighting-type Pokemon lacking Knock Off such as Primeape and Hitmonchan and Miltank's immunity to Ghost. Ghost-type Pokemon such as Sableye and Gourgeist-XL are immune to Fighting-type moves and appreciate Heal Bell support from Miltank. Poison-type Pokemon such as Qwilfish and Weezing take on Fighting-type Pokemon that Miltank struggles with and appreciate Miltank's ability to take special hits. They can also stack entry hazards to rack passive damage on the switches Miltank forces. Gastrodon appreciates not having to worry about status with Heal Bell and Sap Sipper is an option to make Miltank immune to Gastrodon's 4x Grass-type weakness. Rest users such as Mudsdale and Bronzor appreciate Miltank's Heal Bell support to wake them up. Pursuit users like Skuntank can trap Ghost-type Pokemon like Haunter and Oricorio-G that Miltank has trouble dealing with.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A physically defensive set with 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe and an Impish nature can be used, but Miltank's abilities and weakness to Fighting-types make specially defensive a generally better choice. A set with Curse can be used with Scrappy for a sweeper, but it is less effective than Miltank's utility options and compromises Miltank's great Speed. Munchlax and Type: Null also outclass the set, since Miltank's only niche over them is the ability to hit Ghost-types with Scrappy. Counter with Chople Berry can be used to surprise KO physical attackers such as Hitmonchan, but Miltank usually cannot afford to give up a moveslot for it. Earthquake can be used to help Miltank hit Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon harder, but it is still weak coming off of base 80 Attack, and Miltank often can't fit it in its set. An offensive set can be run with Double Edge, Earthquake, Stealth Rock, and Milk Drink with Normalium Z to allow Miltank to lure traditional checks such as Hitmonchan and Aggron. Scrappy can be run on its offensive set to allow Miltank to hit Ghost-type Pokemon like Haunter with Body Slam, although Sap Sipper remains an excellent ability for checking Lilligant.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-type Pokemon such as Primeape and Gurdurr are able to threaten Miltank with strong STAB moves. Gurdurr and Throh can also switch into Toxic or Thunder Wave to get boosted by Guts.

**Ghost-types**: Ghost-type Pokemon are immune to Body Slam and Seismic Toss. Oricorio-G is able to get free Substitutes on Miltank and Haunter is also immune to Toxic. When not running Toxic, other Ghost-type Pokemon such as Golurk can wall Miltank.

**Taunt**: Taunt from Pokemon such as Archeops and Qwilfish prevents Miltank from using Heal Bell and forces it to use Seismic Toss or Body Slam, allowing Ghost-type Pokemon to switch in for free.

**Substitute**: Miltank is setup bait for Substitute users such as Mesprit if it lacks Seismic Toss.

**Steel-types**: Miltank has trouble hitting Steel-types outside of Seismic Toss, so Pokemon such as Bronzor, Ferroseed, and Probopass can use it as setup fodder, while Aggron can switch in for free and use Head Smash.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Miltank is a versatile Normal-type Pokemon with good mixed bulk of 95 / 105 / 70.
  • Miltank has a fantastic base Speed of 100 for a defensive Pokemon.
  • It has a choice between 2 amazing defensive abilities in Thick Fat and Sap Sipper to take on various Pokemon. (what pokemon, give examples, even types would do)
  • It has niche on being the only viable Pokemon with access to Heal Bell and Stealth Rock providing valuable role compression.
  • Miltank suffers from a four-moveslot syndrome as it would like to have a move to reliably hit Ghost-types but cannot afford to give up any of its moves to do so. (not true, toxic is the first slash? the only ghost type it cant hit with that is Haunter, so rephrase)
  • It has to choose its counters depending on its ability and the moves its running. (less so based on ability actually, things don't counter it more check it)
[SET]

Moves
========

  • Stealth Rock is used to wear down the opposing team with residual damage.
  • Toxic allows Miltank to cripple Pokémon with status. (mhm, like what)
  • Heal Bell allows Miltank to cure its team of status effects. (heal bell also makes itself less prone to status, mainly toxic)
  • Thunder Wave can be used for speed control if neither Toxic or Heal Bell is needed.
  • Seismic Toss is an option to allow Miltank to be more threatening to Rock- and Steel-type Pokemon and Pokemon who do not mind the paralysis from Body Slam. (well, they do, it's because it does set damage and is only stopped by ghosts)
  • Body Slam is necessary to stop Miltank from being too passive Taunt bait. Its main use is spreading paralysis since its still weak coming from uninvested base 80 Attack. (not sure how seismic toss is passive, reword)
  • Milk Drink is necessary to keep Miltank healthy to be able to heal its team of status effects multiple times per match. (it's also so it can be a reliable switch in to whatever it's trying to check (based on ability) while also meaning it can set multiple times with Stealth Rock)

Set Details
========

  • 248 HP EVs and maximum Special Defence EVs with the rest in Defence is used to maximize Miltanks special bulk and minimizing Stealth Rock damage. (not max spd change please, also talk about why it has max spd bulk)
  • Careful nature is used to maximize Miltanks special bulk. (merge with first point)
  • Leftovers gives Miltank some passive recovery. (also means it doesn't solely rely on milk drink for recovery)
  • Thick Fat gives Miltank useful resistances to Fire and Ice allowing it to shrug off most Fire- and Ice-type moves such as Fire Blast from Pyroar and Blizzard from Abomasnow.
  • Sap Sipper makes Miltank immune to Grass-type moves and can be used to wall Lilligant lacking Breakneck Blitz. It also gives Miltank useful immunities to Leech Seed and Spore while boosting its Body Slam. (if hit by a grass type move, be specific here)
  • 20 speed allows it to creep base positive base 60s like abomasnow

Usage Tips
========

  • When running Thick Fat Miltank should be used to take strong Ice- or Fire-type moves from Pokemon such as Abomasnow, Jynx or Pyroar. (I don't feel like mentioning jynx here is ideal, it's a very soft check to it)
  • When running Sap Sipper Miltank should be used to absorb Grass-type moves from Pokemon such as Lilligant or Alolan Exeggutor. It should also be used to switch into Leech Seed from Pokemon such as Ferroseed or Gourgeist Super. (not quite sure ferro really fits here either, yeah you absorb leech seed but if you're body slam you're spikes fodder, and even toss gives it free opportunity)
  • Use Heal Bell when your team is suffering from status effects. (also cures self)
  • Mention milk drink, and talk about it in conjunction with both Stealth Rock and toxic

Team Options
========

  • Psychic-type Pokemon such as Mesprit and Musharna can help take care Fighting-type Pokemon lacking Knock Off and appreciate the Ghost-type immunity from Miltank.
  • Ghost-type Pokemon such as Oricorio-Sensu and Gourgeist are immune to Fighting moves and appreciate Miltanks immunity to Ghost-type. (appreciate heal bell support)
  • Poison-type Pokemon such as Qwilfish or Weezing can take on Fighting-type Pokemon that Miltank struggles with and appreciate Miltanks ability to take special hits. (also can stack hazards)
  • Gastrodon appreciates not having to worry about status and Sap Sipper makes Miltank immune to Gastrodons 4x Grass-type weakness.
  • RestTalk users can afford to use another move in place of Sleep Talk with Miltanks Heal Bell support. (disagree, they'd still use it but benefit from heal bell, mention users too)
  • Pursuit users like skunk to trap ghosts 100%

Other Options
=============

  • A physically defensive set with 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD and Impish nature can be used, but Miltanks abilities and weakness to Fighting-types make specially defensive a generally better choice. (nit-pick, but change it to 20 speed)
  • A set with Curse can be used with Scrappy for a wincon but it is outclassed by Miltanks utility options and compromises Miltanks great Speed.
  • Counter can be used to surprise KO against physical attackers such as Hitmonchans Drain Punch but Miltank usually cannot afford to give up a moveslot for it.
  • Earthquake can be used to help Miltank hit Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon harder but it is still weak coming off of base 80 Attack and Miltank usually cannot afford to give up a moveslot for it.
  • Mention scrappy on an offensive set

Checks and Counters
===================

  • **Fighting Types**: Fighting-type Pokemon such as Primeape and Gurdurr are able to threaten Miltank with strong Fighting moves.
  • **Guts users**: Guts users such as Gurdurr and Throh discourage Miltank from using Body Slam or its status moves. (this is kinda covered in fighting-types really)
  • **Ghost Types** Ghost-type Pokemon are immune to Body Slam and Seismic Toss. Oricorio-Sensu is able to get free Substitutes on Miltank and Haunter is also immune to Toxic. (other ghosts wall the non toxic version, like golurk)
  • **Taunt** Taunt prevents Miltank from using Heal Bell and forces it to use Body Slam allowing Ghost-type Pokemon to switch in for free.
  • **Steel-types**: Check most sets, ferro can use it as setup fodder, and so can probopass to an extent

Moves

  • Stealth Rock is used to wear down the opposing team with residual damage.
  • Toxic allows Miltank to cripple Pokemon like Ghost-types or setup sweepers like Lilligant with status. what ghost-types? also you could costa for setup sweepers
  • Heal Bell allows Miltank to cure its team of status effects and stops Miltank from being crippled by status such as Toxic.
  • Thunder Wave can be used for speed control if neither Toxic or Heal Bell is needed.

  • Milk Drink is necessary to keep Miltank healthy to be able to heal its team of status effects multiple times per match and allow it repeatedly switch into Pokemon it checks and to set up Stealth Rock. remove the stealth rock part imo

Set Details
========

  • Careful nature with 248 HP EVs, 240 Special Defence EVs with 20 Speed EVs is used to maximize Miltanks special bulk and minimizing Stealth Rock damage. what does 20 speed do? Specially defensive is used because Miltank still has good physical bulk and even with physical investment it struggles against Fighting-type Pokemon like primeape/gurdurr. Most Fire- and Ice-type attacks in the tier are specially based as well. maybe say "are from special attackers like pyroar and jynx"
  • Leftovers gives Miltank some passive recovery.
  • Thick Fat gives Miltank useful resistances to Fire and Ice allowing it to shrug off most Fire- and Ice-type moves such as Fire Blast from Pyroar and Blizzard from Abomasnow. idgi you mentioned this above with no detail but this sentence has detail?
  • Sap Sipper makes Miltank immune to Grass-type moves and can be used to wall Lilligant lacking Breakneck Blitz. It also gives Miltank useful immunities to Leech Seed and Spore while boosting its Body Slam when hit by a Grass-type move. mention grass-types with spore/ leech seed
  • 20 Speed EVs allows Miltank to creep positive base 60 Speed Pokemon like Abomasnow. yeah not sure why you mentioned this in the first sentence w/o any detail

Usage Tips
========

  • When running Thick Fat Miltank should be used to take strong Ice- or Fire-type moves from Pokemon such as Abomasnow or Pyroar. you said this already either expand or mention different examples imo
  • When running Sap Sipper Miltank should be used to absorb Grass-type moves from Pokemon such as Lilligant or Alolan Exeggutor. It should also be used to switch into Leech Seed from Pokemon such as Gourgeist Super.
  • Use Heal Bell when your team is suffering from status effects and heal Miltank of status. ? what if miltank isnt statused i would remove the last part
  • Use Milk Drink to keep Miltank healthy to allow it to repeatedly switch in and set up Stealth Rock. Milk Drink allows Miltank to keep racking up Toxic damage on opposing Pokemon. no? it gives miltank longevity

Team Options

  • Psychic-type Pokemon such as Mesprit and Musharna can help take care Fighting-type Pokemon lacking Knock Off and appreciate the Ghost-type immunity from Miltank. what kind of fighting-types?
  • Ghost-type Pokemon such as Oricorio-G and Gourgeis-XL are immune to Fighting moves and appreciate Miltanks immunity to Ghost-type and appreciate Heal Bell support. but miltank cant do anything to relevant ghost types lol. i understand your point but the most popular ghosts are haunter(immune) / oricorio-g(sub)/ sab (taunt) golurk( lum)
  • Poison-type Pokemon such as Qwilfish or Weezing can take on Fighting-type Pokemon that Miltank struggles with and appreciate Miltanks ability to take special hits. They can also stack hazard to rack passive damage on the switched Miltank forces.
  • Gastrodon appreciates not having to worry about status and Sap Sipper makes Miltank immune to Gastrodons 4x Grass-type weakness. i would never use sap sipper miltank soley for gastrodon like why not just use a fire-type or a grass-type? i would say gastro likes miltanks heal bell support
  • RestTalk users such as Mudsdale appreciate Miltanks Heal Bell support to wake them up. eh not rly rest talk users. mention pokemon that get statused from poison/burn
  • Pursuit users like Skuntank can trap Ghost-type Pokemon with Pursuit that Miltank has trouble dealing with. like? i mentioned several mons above

The added threat of paralysis can deter frail Pokemon reliant on their Speed such as Jynx, Primeape or Pyroar from switching in on Miltank. you need to differentiate seismic toss and body slam, reading this I have absolutely no idea why I'd run one over the other Milk Drink is necessary to keep Miltank healthy to be able to function as a cleric and allow it repeatedly switch into Pokemon it counters.

Set Details
========

Calm nature with 248 HP EVs, 240 Special Defence EVs with 20 Speed EVs is used to maximize Miltanks special bulk and minimizing Stealth Rock damage. Specially defensive is used because Miltank still has good physical bulk to allow it to check Pokemon such as Kangaskhan. Careful nature should be used with Body Slam. 20 Speed EVs allows Miltank to creep positive base 60 Speed Pokemon like Abomasnow, Assault Vest Hitmonchan and Ludicolo the way you wrote this up implies that chan and ludi are positive natured base 60 pokemon, you could just delete the "positive base 60 speed" part and it'd be more coherent. Leftovers gives Miltank some passive recovery. Thick Fat gives Miltank useful resistances to Fire and Ice allowing it to shrug off most Fire- and Ice-type moves such as Fire Blast from Pyroar and Blizzard from Abomasnow. Sap Sipper makes Miltank immune to Grass-type moves and can be used to wall Lilligant lacking Breakneck Blitz. It also gives Miltank useful immunities to Leech Seed from Gourgeist-Super and Sleep Power from Lilligant while boosting its Body Slam when hit by a Grass-type move.

Usage Tips
======== i think u forgot to put this in real paragraph form

When running Thick Fat Miltank should be used to take strong Ice- or Fire-type moves from Pokemon such as Abomasnow or Pyroar.
When running Sap Sipper Miltank should be used to absorb Grass-type moves from Pokemon such as Lilligant or Alolan Exeggutor. It should also be used to switch into Leech Seed from Pokemon such as Gourgeist Super. these 2 points are super obvious and give no information, u could talk about bluffing an ability or something but the way this is simply stated gives zero useful info to a reader
Spreading Toxic to Pokemon like Musharna, Gastrodon and Ghost-Types like Sableye can help Miltanks teammates.

miltank also wants to milk drink frequently bc u have to stay at high health to switch into certain things like z-Hyper Beam Lilligant or specs pyroar or whatever

Team Options
========

Psychic-type Pokemon such as Mesprit and Musharna can help take care Fighting-type Pokemon lacking Knock Off such as Primeape or Hitmonchan and appreciate the Ghost-type immunity from Miltank. Ghost-type Pokemon such as Sableye and Gourgeist-XL are immune to Fighting moves and appreciate Heal Bell support from Miltank. Poison-type Pokemon such as Qwilfish or Weezing can take on Fighting-type Pokemon that Miltank struggles with and appreciate Miltanks ability to take special hits. They can also stack hazard to rack passive damage on the switched Miltank forces. Gastrodon appreciates not having to worry about status with Heal Bell and Sap Sipper is an option to make Miltank immune to Gastrodons 4x Grass-type weakness. Rest users such as Mudsdale and Bronzor appreciate Miltanks Heal Bell support to wake them up. Pursuit users like Skuntank can trap Ghost-type Pokemon like Haunter or Oricorio-Sensu with Pursuit that Miltank has trouble dealing with.

phys def mons also pair with miltank, gastro especially makes a good partner and u don't entirely get into the reasons why that's the case (sap sipper and heal bell arent necessarily as huge as what they wall together)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A physically defensive set with 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe and Impish nature can be used, but Miltanks abilities and weakness to Fighting-types make specially defensive a generally better choice. A set with Curse can be used with Scrappy for a wincon but it is outclassed by Miltanks utility options and compromises Miltanks great Speed. Munchlax and Type:Null also outclass the set and Miltanks only niche over them is the ability to hit Ghost-Types with Scrappy. Counter with Chople Berry can be used to surprise KO against physical attackers such as Hitmonchans Drain Punch but Miltank usually cannot afford to give up a moveslot for it. Earthquake can be used to help Miltank hit Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon harder but it is still weak coming off of base 80 Attack and Miltank usually cannot afford to give up a moveslot for it. Scrappy can be run on an offensive set to allow Miltank to hit Ghost-type Pokemon like Haunter with Body Slam. Z-Double Edge can surprise Assault Vest Hitmonchan and prevent it from using Rapid Spin but regular Double Edge is not practical for a defensive Pokemon and Miltank would have to sacrifice a moveslot for it. z-DE is found on offensive rocker sets, the current writing makes it sound like ur running defensive with z-DE which just isn't the case. i think ur being overly negative on it rly, it's a fine set that shouldnt go higher than OO but can get a decent mention

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting Types**: Fighting-type Pokemon such as Primeape and Gurdurr are able to threaten Miltank with strong Fighting moves. Gurdurr and Throh can also switch into Toxic to get boosted by Guts.

**Ghost Types** Ghost-type Pokemon are immune to Body Slam and Seismic Toss. Oricorio-Sensu is able to get free Substitutes on Miltank and Haunter is also immune to Toxic. When not running Toxic other Ghost-type Pokemon such as Golurk can wall Miltank.

**Taunt** Taunt from Pokemon such as Archeops or Qwilfish prevents Miltank from using Heal Bell and forces it to use Body Slam allowing Ghost-type Pokemon to switch in for free.

**Substitute**Miltank is setup bait for most Substitute users such as Oricorio-Sensu. since u already have sensu covered in ghost types, mentioning another sub user like subcm mesprit would be gud

**Steel-types** Miltank has trouble hitting Steel-types outside of Seismic Toss. Pokemon such as Bronzor, Ferroseed and Probopass can use it as setup fodder. Aggron can switch in for free and use Head Smash.
I've checked most of the analysis, but honestly I'm not sure what to do with the overview. The bullet points were fine but the written up version is of unacceptably low quality, and it doesn't seem like any fixes I can suggest would really change just how bad it is. You never want to reference things that a user would know by just looking up at the mon's summary (like the exact base stats), it goes over things that are for other sections (20 speed creep just belongs in set details), there's no negatives mentioned so I suppose Miltank is just a 10/10 perfect mon, and just overall reading it gives me zero insight into what miltank does and why I would use it- which is the entire point of the overview. I would either try looking at a lot of other analyses and taking another stab at it, or simply contacting another writer and getting them to help you put this together (and if you don't know anybody, I can help you with this). I'm not stamping this right now because, despite the rest of the analysis being good, the overview just isn't going to work. When it's ready to look at again, let me know.

Rwby has offered to help me through the overview.
I'm happy to hear you think the rest of the analysis is good though.

Edit: Rwby has completely rewritten the overview and I'm very happy about it's current state.
Ready for another try at final QC check.

Along with Stealth Rock, it also has several other utility moves at its disposal such as Toxic, Heal Bell, Seismic Toss, and the previously mentioned Milk Drink, allowing it to effectively support its teammates and provide excellent role compression. Access to both Thick Fat and Sap Sipper means Miltank is able to pick what it wants to check, with Thick Fat helping against the likes of Abomasnow and Pyroar, and Sap Sipper checking Pokemon such as Lilligant and Ferroseed. Miltank does struggle however, as its Normal-typing doesn’t give it any resistances and only one immunity, and strong neutral hits are able to 2HKO it. Miltank is also susceptible to hazards as extra damage on it means it fails to check the previously mentioned Mesprit and Pyroar. It also struggles with 4 moveslot syndrome, as it often has to pick what counters it; for example, if it decides to use Heal Bell over Toxic then Pokemon like Palossand and Golurk are able to switch in freely, while giving foes such a Musharna the chance to setup.

Thanks for the great GP check, implemented.

The part about trying to fix set details is good but I struggled to figure out what I should do with it and I was afraid that doing something to it I would only make it worse so I decided to leave it as is for now.

Counter with Chople Berry can be used to surprise KO against physical attackers such as Hitmonchans Drain Punch, (AC) but Miltank usually cannot afford to give up a moveslot for it. Earthquake can be used to help Miltank hit Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon harder, but it is still weak coming off of base 80 Attack, (AC) and Miltank often can't fit it in its set. Scrappy can be run on an offensive set to allow Miltank to hit Ghost-type Pokemon like Haunter with Body Slam. Z-Double-Edge A Normalium Z in conjunction with Double-Edge can surprise Assault Vest Hitmonchan and prevent it from using Rapid Spin, but regular Double-Edge is not practical for a defensive Pokemon, (AC) and Miltank would have to sacrifice a moveslot for it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-type Pokemon such as Primeape and Gurdurr are able to threaten Miltank with strong Fighting STAB moves. Gurdurr and Throh can also switch into Toxic to get boosted by Guts.

**Taunt**: Taunt from Pokemon such as Archeops or and Qwilfish prevents Miltank from using Heal Bell and forces it to use Seismic Toss or Body Slam, allowing Ghost-type Pokemon to switch in for free.

**Substitute**: Miltank is setup bait for most Substitute users such as Oricorio-G.

**Steel-types**: Miltank has trouble hitting Steel-types outside of Seismic Toss, so Pokemon such as Bronzor, Ferroseed, (AC) and Probopass can use it as setup fodder, while Aggron can switch in for free and use Head Smash.
