- Ice Beam

I'm surprised that no one auto locked this yet.

Ninetales: Basically it can set up the veil for 8 turns and allow lapras/Kyu-b to sweep this team. It also changes the weather and will punish swampert for putting rocks on it by either encoring it or straight up killing it. Moonblast is an option if hail is down and if weather is not a problem anymore so that it can kill keldeo and greninja, and while riskier it can also kill greninja as behind the veil it can take a Gunk shot if at full health and if it has not switched into rocks.

Bold = Good
Not bold = Not the best

Vs. Keldeo
252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ninetales-Alola through Light Screen: 131-155 (45.6 - 54%) -- 46.9% chance to 2HKO <- It will get screens up first so this is accurate, however.
252 SpA Ninetales-Alola Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Keldeo: 246-290 (76.1 - 89.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after hail damage <- The lack of OHKO may be concerning which is why you might have to sack a mon.

Vs. Greninja
252 SpA Ninetales-Alola Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Greninja: 300-354 (105.2 - 124.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Greninja Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Ninetales-Alola: 199-234 (69.3 - 81.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO <- Now with rocks this would be a 50% chance for your death assuming screens are down as greninja outspeeds ninetales.

Vs. Swampert-mega
252 SpA Ninetales-Alola Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Swampert-Mega: 340-408 (99.7 - 119.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO <- oh no its not a guarantee D:
228 Atk Swampert-Mega Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ninetales-Alola through Reflect: 114-134 (39.7 - 46.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock <- lol sludge wave does less than this.

Vs. Gyarados
252 SpA Ninetales-Alola Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Gyarados: 336-400 (101.5 - 120.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Gyarados Waterfall vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ninetales-Alola through Reflect: 81-96 (28.2 - 33.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Gyarados Supersonic Skystrike (160 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ninetales-Alola: 322-381 (112.1 - 132.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO <- I mean you are faster than this thing so you will kill it before it even tries to kill you, but if you switch in this will happen if screens aren't down.

Vs. Pelipper
252 SpA Ninetales-Alola Freeze-Dry vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Pelipper: 448-532 (138.6 - 164.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Pelipper Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Ninetales-Alola in Rain: 126-148 (43.9 - 51.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
*Be wary of this thing tho as it will set rain and stop your screens potentially.

Vs. Kingdra
252 SpA Ninetales-Alola Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kingdra: 348-412 (119.5 - 141.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kingdra Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Ninetales-Alola: 237-280 (82.5 - 97.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock <- you will likely switch into this so you can prevent it from using rain, so knowing this will be important.

Lapras: If ninetales needs assitance or wants to not take a huge water hit, Lapras can switch in and do the same thing ninetales did, except it would be quite a bit slower. Specs Freeze-Dry can OHKO every member of this team, and it can take most of the hits that the team would throw at it. The only thing that threatens Lapras is specs keldeo, but if it is behind the veil that will not be a problem.

Bold means good
Not bold means bad

Vs. Pelipper
252+ SpA Choice Specs Lapras Freeze-Dry vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Pelipper: 756-892 (234 - 276.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Pelipper Hurricane vs. 68 HP / 0 SpD Lapras: 118-141 (28.2 - 33.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock <- lol

Vs. Gyarados

252+ SpA Choice Specs Lapras Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados: 564-664 (170.3 - 200.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Gyarados Supersonic Skystrike (160 BP) vs. 68 HP / 0 Def Lapras: 306-361 (73.2 - 86.3%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock <- This Z-move is a large concern to the team in general, don't allow gyarados to set up is all I can really say, if it does just use kyurem to solve your problems.

Vs. Swampert

252+ SpA Choice Specs Lapras Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Swampert-Mega: 576-684 (168.9 - 200.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
228 Atk Swampert-Mega Earthquake vs. 68 HP / 0 Def Lapras: 216-255 (51.6 - 61%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock <- for the rest of the calcs we are going to make assumptions that you are in the worst case scenario.

Vs. Greninja

252+ SpA Choice Specs Lapras Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Greninja: 372-440 (130.5 - 154.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Protean Greninja Hidden Power Electric vs. 68 HP / 0 SpD Lapras: 229-273 (54.7 - 65.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock <- this made me laugh.

Vs. Kingdra

252+ SpA Choice Specs Lapras Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kingdra: 588-696 (202 - 239.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 68 HP / 0 SpD Lapras: 294-346 (70.3 - 82.7%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock <- this is a genuine concern, but even if you lose lapras you have like two other sweepers to take care of this problem, not only that but if there are no rocks ninetales can switch in safely and change the weather.

Vs. Keldeo

252+ SpA Choice Specs Lapras Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Keldeo: 306-362 (94.7 - 112%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO <- This is actually Lapras' worst matchup.
252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 68 HP / 0 Def Lapras: 498-588 (119.1 - 140.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO <- Keldeo is a huge threat to this team, but because it isn't scarfed, kyurem B can bank off of this and revenge kill.

Kyurem-Black: Another sweeper that can outspeed and OHKO the whole team with the exception of mega-swampert. Kyu-b also cannot take hits as well as the other two mentioned but once again if it is behind the veil it will be fine most of the time. Also in order to truly outspeed most of the team kyurem needs a scarf.
Bold means good
Not bold means bad

Vs. Pelipper
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 248 HP / 120+ Def Pelipper: 432-512 (133.7 - 158.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Pelipper Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Kyurem-Black: 138-163 (35.2 - 41.6%) -- 73% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Vs. Gyarados

252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gyarados: 652-768 (196.9 - 232%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Gyarados Supersonic Skystrike (160 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-Black: 255-300 (65.2 - 76.7%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock <- Um yeah

Vs. Keldeo

252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Keldeo: 292-344 (90.4 - 106.5%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO <- this is disappointing
252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-Black: 414-488 (105.8 - 124.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Vs. Swampert

252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Swampert-Mega: 220-261 (64.5 - 76.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO <- I wouldn't recommend doing this ngl
228 Atk Swampert-Mega Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-Black: 178-211 (45.5 - 53.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Vs. Greninja
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Greninja: 370-436 (129.8 - 152.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Greninja: 370-436 (129.8 - 152.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO <- alternative if you think mega-swampert will switch in

Vs. Kingdra

252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kingdra: 500-590 (171.8 - 202.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO <- you are likely still rip tho.
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kingdra: 140-165 (48.1 - 56.7%) -- 89.1% chance to 2HKO <- in case you think they will switch
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Kyurem-Black: 684-806 (174.9 - 206.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO <- Get the hell out of there and switch into alolatales if availible.

Edit: I didn't think greninja wouldn't run gunk shot but boy was I wrong, I'm just shocked that an ice team can actually do well against a very meta team. Also I added some calcs now for some relevant stuff.

Without Mega Sharpedo, Mega Gyarados, or even Dark Pulse Greninja, Swift Swim Water has virtually nothing to stop offensive Psychic from steamrolling through.

Mega Alakazam checks basically everything on the team by tracing Swift Swim, and can even outspeed Gyarados at +1. Latios can OHKO everything on the team except a fully healthy Gyarados or Mega Swampert, and can only revenge killed by Greninja or Kingdra in Rain, forcing the latter to use Draco Meteor which gives Psychic an opportunity to set up Mew. Z-Move Mew only needs to Rock Polish to basically clean this entire team in the mid to late game, and has little trouble finding opportunities to set up with Screen Support or by taking advantage of rain dropping off.

Deoxys-Speed is what makes this matchup totally lopsided, but isn't even necessary for this offensive psychic core to tear swift swim to pieces.

Edit: Tfw smub changes his fairy core to psychic right after you post :[

lol yeah I was jumping right on that opportunity XD. But at least I changed it to Psychic in time :)

This is a pretty simple core when it comes to this matchup.

Ferrothorn: Walls the entire team with the exception of Keldeo and it can play around Gyarados.
Klefki: Sets up hazards, can cripple Keldeo and most importantly gets up screens.
Magearna: With the support of screens, it easily trick rooms and simply gets a kill every single turn.

Offensive Rock Core

Shuckle @ Mental Herb
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Sticky Web
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Encore

Nihilego @ Life Orb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Omastar @ Air Balloon
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shell Smash
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]

This core's main objective is to set up Sticky Web with Shuckle, and then proceed to either set up with Omastar and win the game, or revenge kill something with Nihilego. Shuckle is pretty self-explanatory, very easily setting up Sticky Web against anything thanks to Sturdy. As for Nihilego, with Grass Knot+Hidden Power Ice, it's capable of KOing nearly everything on the team with ease(while also outspeeding Choice Scarf Garchomp after Sticky Web):

252 SpA Life Orb Nihilego Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 248 HP / 116 SpD Hippowdon: 380-447 (90.6 - 106.6%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

252 SpA Life Orb Nihilego Hidden Power Ice vs. 48 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 406-478 (122.6 - 144.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Life Orb Nihilego Grass Knot (80 BP) vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Seismitoad: 567-671 (152.8 - 180.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Life Orb Nihilego Hidden Power Ice vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 385-458 (107.5 - 127.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

And if Nihilego manages to get a boost: +1 252 SpA Life Orb Nihilego Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 132 HP / 0 SpD Camerupt-Mega: 240-283 (76.4 - 90.1%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

As for Omastar, if Garchomp or Excadrill lock themselves into Earthquake, it means a free Shell Smash and a free kill. Landorus-Therian can't KO it with anything, and neither can Mega Camerupt. Looking at the overall list of things Omastar can set up on with its Balloon intact: Garchomp, Excadrill, Landorus-Therian, Mega Camerupt, Seismitoad(when locked into Earth Power), and Hippowdon. That's the entire team lol. Looking at some of these nice calcs:

Omastar taking damage:
252 Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Omastar: 162-192 (57.6 - 68.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Excadrill Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Omastar: 183-216 (65.1 - 76.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Landorus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (175 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Omastar: 127-150 (45.1 - 53.3%) -- 35.5% chance to 2HKO

240+ SpA Sheer Force Camerupt-Mega Fire Blast vs. -1 0 HP / 4 SpD Omastar: 138-162 (49.1 - 57.6%) -- 96.1% chance to 2HKO

Won't even bother showing the calcs of it dealing damage, since Hydro Pump+Ice Beam+Hidden Power Grass after +2 completely rips the team to shreds.

It sucks that I can only submit one core, since there are usually so many good possibilities for these competitions, but oh well.

The idea of this core is pretty simple. Trap seismitoad with gothitelle and take it out with energy ball so that mega slowbro can set up calm minds easier and can use water moves freely on the team. Mega slowbro has fantastic physical bulk which lets it sponge in most attacks from the above ground team and with calm mind mega slowbro can break through the above team. Mew on the core cripples, provides utility support with knock off and spreads burns which yet again helps mega slowbro to set up much calm minds much easier.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Gothitelle Energy Ball vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Seismitoad: 660-780 (177.8 - 210.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Excadrill Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Slowbro-Mega: 132-156 (33.5 - 39.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ SpA Sheer Force Camerupt-Mega Earth Power vs. +1 252 HP / 24 SpD Slowbro-Mega: 178-210 (45.1 - 53.2%) -- 32.8% chance to 2HKO

Tiny suggestion, but wouldn't the Gothitelle be better off with a Timid nature? That way you'll be outspeeding the Seismitoad and keeping Gothitelle healthy enough to trap some other mon on the team more effectively. You're not KOing Hippowdon or Excadrill either way, so there isn't much loss. However, that's just a suggestion.

Hi I wanted to show what is standard set for gothitelle so it runs a modest nature and not timid, I see your point though, but it does not runs timid with specs and I did not wanted timid just so I outspeed seismitoad. Thank you.

Nothing much to describe, the sets say it all, Sharpedo and Greninja OHKO everything while Mandibuzz returns a Foul Play to Excadrill as Rock Slide doesnt OHKO it, Sharpedo also out speeds Excadrill at +2, so once Sharpedo reaches +2 it legit just 6-0s. Heres some calcs:

This core is one that can pretty much take this team on, with ease. The idea is to have Char-Y come in set up Sun and begin to wreck havoc and have Lando-T to come in and drop the attack of the Physical attackers and to help take some the hits that could KO Char-Y.

The Galvantula - Xurkitree part of the core is from my webs Electric RMT, which I found to be great vs Ground. The Rotom-Wash is just there to take a hit or something or to whittle down Excadrill or Garchomp.
It's pretty basic, once webs are down, Xurkitree outspeeds both Garchomp and Excadrill after a Z-Hypnosis. Once Z-Hypnosis hits, it's gg from there. You have about a 70% to win vs this team, which is pretty nice for a type disadvantage. Although it may seem a bit risky since you're depending on webs being on the field and Xurkitree needing to be faster than the Hypnosis target since it can't survive shit, it is easy to pull off in practice.

+3 252 SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 48 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 365-430 (110.2 - 129.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+3 252 SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 132 HP / 0 SpD Camerupt-Mega: 291-343 (92.6 - 109.2%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO (might need a little luck or maybe a tiny bit of prior damage, but should be fine)

+3 252 SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 248 HP / 116 SpD Hippowdon: 686-808 (163.7 - 192.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+3 252 SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Excadrill: 429-505 (118.8 - 139.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+3 252 SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Seismitoad: 1540-1812 (415 - 488.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+3 252 SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 348-410 (97.4 - 114.8%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO (same as Mega Camerupt, although a much higher chance)

Xurkitree could also be run Modest, it still outspeeds Excadrill after webs and a Z-Hypnosis and can avoid the rolls on Mega Camerupt and Garchomp. However, realistically you wouldn't run Modest Xurkitree, so yeah.

+3 252+ SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 132 HP / 0 SpD Camerupt-Mega: 320-377 (101.9 - 120%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+3 252+ SpA Xurkitree Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 382-450 (107 - 126%) -- guaranteed OHKO
