Quality Control Rain Wallbreaker Manaphy [GP: 0/1]

[SET]
rain breaker (Manaphy) @ Waterium Z
Ability: Hydration
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tail Glow
- Surf
- Psychic/Energy Ball
- Rest

[SET COMMENTS]
With a powerful water STAB; one of the best setup moves ever in Tail Glow and the ability/move combo of Hydration+Rest, rain Manaphy is one of the most fierce wallbreakers on rain teams leveraging its base 100 bulk all around allowing it to take some hits and either setup tail glow or hit back with incredibly powerful boosted surfs, or heal off said hits with Rest in Rain. With these traits Manaphy’s niche is the ability to virtually take out any wall, breaking through even specially defensive resists like Ferrothorn and Mega Latias with its mighty powerful Hydro Vortex while also healing off any chip damage from foes like Unaware Clodsire thanks to Hydration + Rest, giving rain teams a much better Fat Balance and Stall matchups since basically the only way to take it out is with offensive pressure. Psychic is used as coverage for a would be check in Toxapex, however, Energy Ball is a good alternative for hitting Dondozo and Tera Water Garganacl for super effective damage. Pelipper is a required partner for setting up rain and pivoting Manaphy in. Other partners like Ferrothorn and Archaludon are appreciated due to the ability to take on pokemon like Rillaboom, Ogerpon-W and Raging Bolt that force out Manaphy. In return Manaphy can take out troublesome pokemon for said partners like Ting-Lu and Heatran. Swift Swim pokemon like Mega Swampert and Barraskewda are also appreciated for their ability to pressure more offensive teams that can deny Manaphy set up opportunities, when in return Manaphy can break through pokemon like Alomomola and rotom wash. Zapdos and Raging Bolt are also great partners for their ability to absorb Grass type attacks from Rillaboom and Ogerpon-W and hit Toxapex and Dondozo, meanwhile, Manaphy can do devastating damage to its partners checks in Galarian Slowking and Mega Tyranitar.

rain breaker (Manaphy) @ Waterium Z/Covert Cloak this simply has no use over water z
Ability: Hydration
Tera Type: Psychic/Grass
EVs: 148 HP / 108 SpA / 252 Spe 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe use the spread in the smogdex; I’ll explain why in EVs section
Timid Nature

You don’t need these in seperate paragraphs, just make it all one paragraph

With a powerful water STAB; one of the best setup moves ever in Tail Glow and the ability/move combo of Hydration+Rest, rain Manaphy is one of the most fierce wallbreakers in the tier on rain teams, leveraging its base 100 base speed to outspeed the likes of Kyurem, Landorus-Therian, Kommo-o and non-scarf Tapu Lele and Urshifu while also being no average speed glass cannon with this is Dex fluff its base 100 bulk all around allowing it to take some hits and either setup tail glow or hit back with incredibly powerful boosted surfs and heal them off later.
With these traits Manaphy’s niche is the ability to virtually take out any wall with not much problems maybe be a little more specific with what walls it threatens? Mention how it can muscle through even resists like mtias and wash since it can heal up HP and status instantly, giving rain teams a much better Fat Balance and Stall matchups since basically the only way to take it out is with offensive pressure.
Surf is better stab over scald since it hits harder and you don’t need to explain stab moves especially like this psychic is used as coverage for a would be checks in Mega Venusaur mvenu isn’t really good into rain and it’s not THAT viable of a mon and Toxapex while still smacking Urshifu eball hits this anyways so there is no point in mentioning it, also you never want to just have shifu as your water resist.
The given EV spread allows Manaphy to live one horn leech from Ogerpon-Wellspring and one Thunderclap from Raging Bolt from full HP after Stealth rock damage. you still die to +1 tclap nonetheless and a lot of ogers run pwhip, also you don’t need the spatk because you have no trouble breaking and can nuke everything anyways. Replace this with what eball does (hitting dondozo and being its strongest hit into Tera water Garg)
Although most of the time Manaphy prefers Waterium Z, Covert Cloak has an use in allowing Manaphy to tera when facing threats such as Zamazenta, Ogerpon-W, Rillaboom and Tapu Lele depending on the tera type. As a bonus you have a good check against the otherwise troublesome Garganacl. mana shouldn’t really be using Tera and wants water z to just nuke stuff, also cloak itself doesn’t really do anything for mana
Pelipper is a required partner for setting up rain and pivoting Manaphy in.
Other partners like Ferrothorn and Archaludon are appreciated due to the ability to take on pokemon that force out Manaphy. Like what? Mention stuff like woger and bolt In return Manaphy can take out troublesome pokemon for said partners like Mega Scizor unless the msciz is cc it isn’t doing much to those mons, and if it is mana doesn’t want to switch in consistently most of the time. A better example would be something like Glisc or ting Lu and Heatran. Mention partners like Barra and Mswamp, which threaten out offensive Pokemon like Zama and Koko that can force out and pressure Manaphy and partners like Raging Bolt and Zapdos that help threaten Toxapex and Dondozo while also giving a grass resist to mons like kart and Rilla. In return, they like Mana blowing past or weakening some of their checks like Glowking, mtar, wash, and mola (for all of them I mean)
Not 1/2 just yet, ping me when implemented and I’ll look over it again

devastating damage to its partners checks in Galarian Slowking and Mega Tyranitar while getting rid of opposing weather. you don’t match up well into bolt sun so mana doesn’t really exactly “remove weather”
Zapdos and Raging Bolt are also great partners for their ability to absorb Grass type attacks from Rillaboom and Ogerpon-W and hit Toxapex and Dondozo
1/2 good job

With these traits Manaphy’s niche is the ability to virtually take out any wall, breaking through even specially defensive resists like Ferrothorn and Mega Latias with its mighty powerful Hydro Vortex while also healing off any chip damage from foes like Unaware Clodsire Blissey (clod has a 50% chance to get 2HKOed under rain by base Surf so idt this is the best example, you can heal off Toss from Bliss which is pretty big) thanks to Hydration + Rest, giving rain teams a much better Fat Balance and Stall matchups since basically the only way to take it out is with offensive pressure. Psychic is used as coverage for a would be check in Toxapex, however, Energy Ball is a good alternative for hitting Dondozo and Tera Water Garganacl for super effective damage. (mention Hydration, meaning that stuff like Glisc/Tran/Pex can't toxic you as you try to set up on them) Pelipper is a required partner for setting up rain and pivoting Manaphy in. Other partners like Ferrothorn and Archaludon are appreciated due to the ability to take on pokemon like Rillaboom, Ogerpon-W and Raging Bolt that force out Manaphy. (ferro also sets hazards which is worth a mention, since the mons you mentioned usually suffer from hazards) In return Manaphy can take out troublesome pokemon for said partners like Ting-Lu and Heatran.
