[ROCK] Leader Zhengtann v Challenger Toon

The Rules said:
Format
  • 5 vs 5 Doubles, GL B8P5
  • 96-hour DQ (once someone goes over that, I'll usually leave a VM asking them to look at it. If their recent activity is twice over the time, a straight no-warning DQ may be requested by opponent)
  • 2 Abilities
  • 2/5 Recoveries/Chills
  • 7 Substitutions per round (excluding KO subs of course)
  • 0 Mega-Evolutions
  • Switch = OK
  • Items = ALL
  • Turn Order = COIN FLIP
Arena mechanics
  1. All Rock-types get Solid Rock and Rock Head in addition, if they don't already have it.
  2. In Sandstorms, all attacks against Rock-types also suffer -3 BAP, instead of just Special Attacks.
  3. All defensive moves listed under Rock STAB gain +4 Priority instead of the original +1. Pokemons whose primary STAB is Rock-type automatically gain knowledge of all moves listed in the STAB description, except Multi-target, Priority, or Damaging moves (Exclusion lists: Detect, Quick Guard, Wide Guard, Light Screen, Reflect, Skull Bash).
  4. No external rock, water, or grass sources.
  5. No seismic combos allowed.
  6. Camouflage turns user into Rock-type, Nature Power calls Ancient Power, and Secret Power lowers Speed by one (1) stage.

ZhengTann
Onibaba (Shuckle) (F)

Threat Category II. Despite its height, Onibaba struck fear into most adversaries due to its tenacity and relentless pursuit of all it deems prey.

Nature: Relaxed (+1 Defense, -15% Speed, -10% Evasion)

Type:
Bug type: Bug STAB; Adds an additional guaranteed attack on all multi-hit moves (does not include two hit moves) with a total hit cap of five (5).

Rock type: Rock STAB; Adds an additional level of Priority (+0 to +1, +3 to +4 etc.) on naturally occurring level-up, egg, tutor, or TM attacks that increase only defense, special defense, or prevent damage (Full list: Acid Armor, Amnesia, Barrier, Defense Curl, Detect, Quick Guard, Harden, Iron Defense, Light Screen, Reflect, Skull Bash, Stockpile, Wide Guard, Withdraw). Reduced damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm, immune to Sandstorm damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Sturdy
Type: Passive
This Pokemon's body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

Ability 2: Gluttony
Type: Passive
This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat). It also regains three (3) HP per action when holding Leftovers.

Ability 3: Contrary (Hidden)
Type: Toggle
By default this Pokemon's unique structure reverses stat changes it receives in battle, from both its own attacks and those of other Pokemon. At the end of the round, stat changes will still increase/decrease toward 0. When toggled, it has no effect.

Yamarashi (Alolan-Golem) (M)

Threat Category III. Thought to be terminated, Yamarashi makes a return after ingesting magnetic rocks and learning to throw its brethren with them.

Nature: Sassy (+1 Special Defense, -15% Speed, -10% Evasion)

Type:
Rock type: Rock STAB; Adds an additional level of Priority (+0 to +1, +3 to +4 etc.) on naturally occurring level-up, egg, tutor, or TM attacks that increase only defense, special defense, or prevent damage (Full list: Acid Armor, Amnesia, Barrier, Defense Curl, Detect, Quick Guard, Harden, Iron Defense, Light Screen, Reflect, Skull Bash, Stockpile, Wide Guard, Withdraw). Reduced damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm, immune to Sandstorm damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.

Electric type: Electric STAB; immune to paralysis status.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Magnet Pull
Type: Trigger
Steel-types cannot switch out in a Switch=OK battle while Yamarashi is on the field without the use of Baton Pass, U-turn, or Volt Switch. In addition, Yamarashi can generate a electro-magnetic field that can attract or repulse Steel-type Pokemon. Only the most recent Magnet Pull command on a target will affect them.
Command: Activate Magnet Pull (Attract target) - 5 En - The target's contact will fail against targets other than the user of Magnet Pull (Attract) for three (3) actions.
Command: Activate Magnet Pull (Repulse target) - 5 En - The target's contact attacks will fail against the user of Magnet Pull (Repulse) for three (3) actions.

Ability 2: Sturdy
Type: Passive
Yamarashi's body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

Ability 3: Galvanize (unlocked)
Type: Toggle
By default, Yamarashi's Normal-type moves are Electric-type moves, and have an additional two (2) BAP boost. When toggled, Yamarashi's Normal-type attacks have their BAP increased by two (2) instead. Only Normal-typed moves changed by Galvanize receive this boost. If a Pokemon has been skill-swapped multiple abilities that change Normal-type attacks, the attacks become dual-typed, but the BAP boosts of the abilities do not stack.

Stratagem - Erza (U)

A swordsman wields the blade with graceful precision, just as Erza uses her attacks with dangerous beauty. She walked in on one of Gray and Natsu’s brawls, and the resulting free-for-all wore on for half a day before Zheng can subdue her with a Pokeball. Unknowingly for her, that fight left a lasting impression on the two – they’re cautious almost to the point of fearful whenever in her company since then. Wendy and Charla looks up to her as a role model, though, and it was Erza who took care of them, even though she was newer to the family.

Chargestone Cave is the hallowed ground for all of Erza's ancestry, yet she decides that she will withhold her instincts to evolve for the sake of her family. Small but close-knit, everyone looks up to Erza as the big sister, even though her quirks with boys sometimes astonished the girls and make the shy ones (like Juvia and Wendy) blush. After a series of long, drawn out clashes with Mirajane, both of them seemed to have settled to a cordial relationship, mutually agreeing to avoid mentioning the past conflicts, opting instead to look after the girls together and knock the boys down a peg or two when they get too loud.

It wasn't until the strawberry cake event that Erza finally found the courage to overcome her fear. The truth was, she was scared of shouldering her responsibility being a full-grown Stratagem, relying more and more on the rest of the family despite the lads' deferment to her leadership and skills. Resolving to do whatever it takes to protect herself and those around her, she secretly learn how to manipulate the nature from Mirajane, and the two became very fast friends. Although, Mirajane seems to have picked up some of Erza's racy quirks as well...

Nature: Modest (+1 SpA, -1 Atk)

Type:
Rock type: Rock STAB; Adds an additional level of Priority (+0 to +1, +3 to +4 etc.) on naturally occurring level-up, egg, tutor, or TM attacks that increase only defense, special defense, or prevent damage (Full list: Acid Armor, Amnesia, Barrier, Defense Curl, Detect, Fast Guard, Harden, Iron Defense, Light Screen, Protect, Reflect, Skull Bash, Stockpile, Wide Guard, Withdraw). Reduced damage from all special attacks by 2 BAP during Sandstorm, immune to Sandstorm damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Levitate
Type: Passive
This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the all seismic moves. Earth Power will have 3 less BAP. Dig and Dive can still strike a Levitating Pokemon, but only if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Other Ground moves can still hit.

Ability 2: Technician
Type: Passive
This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally deal 6 or below base damage to have their base damage multiplied by 1.5. The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) damage, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2).

Ability 3: Mold Breaker (Unlocked)
Type: Passive
Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, Volt Absorb will not absorb electric attacks, Clear Body does not prevent stat-drops, etc.)

Rias Gremory, "Princess of Crimson Ruin" - Tyrantrum (F)

Rias is born to a rare family - one in which both her parents were present to take care of her. Before her, they already had a son - who grew up, evolved, and went away to stake his own territory. Being the younger "princess", Rias enjoyed all the privileges - and hardships - that her life as a future empress has to offer, before a cataclysm caused the death of herself and her whole family millions of years before the time of humans.

Being resurrected by Zheng, she is given to and named by Tanner as her Trainer, who somehow also hold another Jaw Fossil that can't be revived - probably because the piece held remnants of both her parents. It is rumoured that Rias' brother walks the earth again this same era that she does, however Rias does not know where to find him.

Evolving into her grown form, Rias still continues the search for her brother. And then she met Issei, then a young Charmander who knew nothing much about the world except the fire in his belly.... Who is just one of her "peerage" of Pokemons, each with stories of their own. She decides that it is high time she declared herself King, and she readies herself for the challenges of her very own monarchy by training relentlessly.

Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpAtk) - caring but stern

Type:
Rock type: Rock STAB; Rias is fast on her mind to add an additional level of Priority on Protect. She also takes reduced damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm, and is immune to Sandstorm damage. Her natural magic can mold and build rocks, ignoring Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.
Dragon type: Dragon STAB; -1 BAP on incoming neutral attacks Dragon itself would resist. Her powerful will allows Thrash or Outrage to be undisrupted by oncoming damage.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Strong Jaw
Type: Passive
Rias' thick fang and massive jaws give her incredibly powerful biting attacks, increasing the BAP of all biting attacks by three (3) BAP. Full List: Bite, Crunch, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Poison Fang, Thunder Fang.

Ability 2: Rock Head (Unlocked)
Type: Passive
Rias' body and willpower fortifies herself in battle, preventing it from taking recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge, Flare Blitz, and Head Smash.

"So you can."

Sacrificing Red Lobster while dealing 45++ DPA will win you a lot of ground for sure D:
My best chance is to counter your Accuracy-lowering moves with my own and pray that RNG is in my favour - but I say you deserve to win from Red Lobster's sacrifice, especially when you can see that I lack counters to Fighting-types.

"Don't sell yourself short, youngster - you're already pretty good!"
Erza (Stratagem w/ Expert Belt): Mud-Slap (Red Lobster-Clawitzer) > Hidden Power Flying (Tut-Revenankh) > Hidden Power Flying (Tut-Revenankh)

Insurrector (Gigalith w/ Link Cable): Heavy Slam (Tut-Revenankh) > Barrier > Heavy Slam (Tut-Revenankh)

Forward, to defeat! Switch phase initiated! Leatherback (Carracosta w/ Cover Fossil @ Swift Swim, Sturdy) and Otachi (Archeops w/ Rare Candy Bar @ Defeatist) coming in.

"This is definitely shaping up to be that confrontation scene in the movie."
Counterswitch?

Yea, at this point I should keep fighting to make sure you deserve the badge. Also epicdrill you forgot to put in EN change post-round, and I should apologise to you as well for taking that long to point it out. (I think you've also forgotten Stratagem's HP Flying against Revenankh)

"Let's see... How did that scene play out, again?"
Otachi (Archeops w/ Rage Candy Bar): [Consume Rage Candy Bar] Acrobatics > Zen Headbutt > Acrobatics, all @ Tut-Revenankh
IF Tut-Revenankh is ordered to use Counter, THEN replace that action with Head Smash @ Red Lobster-Clawitzer instead, pushing remaining queue back.
IF Red Lobster-Clawitzer is under the evasive phase of Dive when targeted, THEN replace the first instance with Stealth Rock and subsequent instances with Hone Claws instead, pushing remaining queue back.
IF Tut-Revenankh is under the effects of Protective/Evasive moves, THEN replace that action with Sky Attack @ Red Lobster-Clawitzer instead, pushing remaining queue back.
IF Tut-Revenankh is KO'ed, THEN replace Zen Headbutt with Head Smash and redirect all attacks to Red Lobster-Clawitzer instead.

Leatherback (Carracosta w/ Cover Fossil): Rock Slide > Knock Off (Tut-Revenankh) > Rock Slide
IF Tut-Revenankh used Wide Guard in the same action when Leatherback-Carracosta is to use Rock Slide, THEN replace Rock Slide with Stone Edge @ Red Lobster-Clawitzer instead.
IF Leatherback-Carracosta has lower Speed than Tut-Revenankh AND Red Lobster-Clawitzer, THEN replace Rock Slide with Hydro Pump @ Tut-Revenankh instead.
IF Tut-Revenankh is ordered to use Counter, THEN replace that action with Stone Edge @ Red Lobster-Clawitzer instead, pushing remaining queue back.
IF Tut-Revenankh is under the effects of Protective/Evasive moves when targeted with Knock Off, THEN redirect towards Red Lobster-Clawitzer instead.
IF Tut-Revenankh is KO'ed, THEN replace the first instance with Whirlpool @ Red Lobster-Clawitzer instead, and redirect subsequent attacks @ Red Lobster-Clawitzer.

Revenankh Endure -> Knock Off (Carracosta) -> Pain Split (Archeops)

Clawitzer Aura Sphere (Carracosta) -> Aura Sphere (Carracosta) -> Aura Sphere (Carracosta)

ZhengTann I added all the EN costs up and the HP loss for Stratagem and it came out to what's listed there. So unless my calcs were off, what's listed in the post-round is correct.

ediZt: Oh right silly me, I mistook (83/100) as 83 HP, 100 EN. My bad v_v

Well, you've had a huge lead to afford yourself that luxury. I don't, so I'll have to prey on your disadvantage ordering first. If I still know how to do it.

"Well, certainly didn't expect to see another monster scene this early in the movie."
Counterswitch declined.
