[OVERVIEW]

  • has access to prankster which allows it to shut down a majority of physical attackers and set up sweepers with a combination of will-o-wisp and taunt, as well as access to recover, preventing it from getting worn down too easily
  • typing lets it serve as a reliable spinblocker for spike stacking teams, as well as having immunities that are useful against pokemon like snorlax and reuniclus
  • access to knock off furthers its capacity as a stallbreaker, especially considering most of sableye's answers dont appreciate having their item removed
  • mediocre base stats
  • popularity of wallbreakers like entei, kyurem, hydrei, mence, and gardevoir leave it susceptible to offensive pressure. it also lets offensive pokemon like mega houndoom come in for free
  • defensive pokemon like florges and arcanine scoff at anything sable uses and force it out
  • reliant on willo wisp and can be pressured to recover fairly easily

Man this thing is so hit or miss - against slow teams it can eat them alive, but if the opponent is packing either Mega-Houndoom or Mega-Absol it is a complete liability. Definitely need to mention both of them in checks / counters because they can pretty much invalidate its role on the team.

Also, I've been using a specially defensive set (252 HP / 252+ SpD) with same moves on the suspect ladder and it might be worth a mention in Other Options. It serves as a slightly more robust spinblocker against bulky Mega-Blastoise which is all over that ladder, while still completely shutting down Forretress. Against 252+ SpA m-Blastoise though it takes around 47-53% from Scald / Dark Pulse so you may be forced into Recovering if you come in on one of those, at which point you have basically failed at your spinblocking job. Specially defensive Sableye is also a better answer to Reuniclus since it doesn't fear +1 Shadow Ball nearly as much (physical Sableye can be 2HKOed, and will eventually be hit by SpD drop); obviously both counter Focus Blast Reuniclus. I don't think it warrants a separate set but as I said it could be mentioned in Other Options since it offers something slightly different to your team.
