This is my first time observing a smogon tournament and the behavior demonstrated here makes me want to not participate in anything going forward.

In all honesty, I'm really disappointed with how the draft turned out. Not only did these tiers get shunned from Official tournament representation because the playerbase is "too weak" or because of one reason or another, but when this tournament comes around, it's turned into a giant meme because of this draft. Drafting 33 players for a team that requires 8 slots to play is flat out retarded. Not only that, but it over inflated the entire auction as there was less upbidding / people going for less which means every team had an absurdly high amount of cash.
But the worst part of it all is how anyone who has spent any time dedicated to this tour now feels (or at least I feel) that 1/6 of the teams isn't going to take it seriously which generally puts the whole atmosphere of the tournament in the shitter.

FINCHINATOR AND ANTI'S "TEAM" DISCOVERED TO BE A LIKE-LAUNDERING SCHEME

In the middle of the day on January 7th, Smogon Exhibition managers Finchinator and KratosMana stunned and infuriated many with an inscrutable draft scheme - waiting until the end to draft a total of 33 users. Many claimed that this strategy was "stupid" "bizarre" and "ruined the auction".
"[W]e already only had 6 teams, having one being a complete non factor in the biggest aspect of such a tour (the draft) is just a slap in the face" said badged user fatty and many seemed to agree with him. Manager KratosMana responded publicly by stating
"[T]hat was the idea since the beggining [sic] ... i was doing it in whatever next tournament i`d manage regardless"
This intrigued our reporter, who began an in depth investigation into why such a bizarre strategy would be used. Was it an expectation that all the other managers were so incompetent that they'd leave dozens of good players undrafted? Was it due to bribery from an unknown source? Was it an elaborate ghosting scheme where the managers would simply use their drafted team as puppets for the two managers to play eight games a week through?
The last seemed promising, but the real truth was revealed just recently with an influx of low effort memes of the "mareanie army" in the form of a gif of many mareanie surging onto land. The source was identified to be from the Pokemon anime.
While these sorts of things are not uncommon, it was strange how many likes each of these incredibly low effort memes was getting, at which point this reporter realized exactly what was going on. Clearly this was carefully planned out by the Mareanie management in order to launder a large quantity of undeserved likes! As many know, in team tours many teammates simply like their teammates' posts regardless of quality. By drafting the absolute largest possible pool, managers Finchinator and KratosMana were able to ensure a large number of likes in an attempt for manager Finchinator to dethrone AM from his title of "Most Likes".
We are shocked and appalled at this criminal behavior, and hope that the Smogon Police will take notice and confiscate these undeserved likes.

WHO THE FUCK CARES if they drafted 33 players? Are you putting yourself over any of these 33 players, you arrogant piece of trash? Are you saying these 33 players don't deserve a spot just like you do? What anti and Finch did was a very respectable act, as they gave many players a chance of playing and proving themselves, when they may have been undrafted. So come the fuck on and stop acting like this is some crime they performed.
