[OVERVIEW]

While regular Beedrill has mediocre Speed, this is remedied when it Mega Evolves. Mega Beedrill also has an amazing Attack stat, which is one of the highest in the STABmons metagame, as well as great coverage with Drill Run, and it hits incredibly hard with Adaptability-boosted U-turn and Gunk Shot. Moreover, while U-turn isn't the strongest Bug-type move, it helps Mega Beedrill's team gain momentum easily and is a good utility move, as is Knock Off. Sadly, Mega Beedrill has lackluster bulk, which means that it's easily KOed by everything and loses to priority, especially Fake Out + Extreme Speed. It is also a Mega Evolution that offers little to no defensive utility, and its weakness to Stealth Rock leaves it worn down quickly and is dentrimental to its role as a pivot. Not only that, Mega Beedrill also faces competition from Mega Scizor; however, while Mega Beedrill is weak to Stealth Rock and has to waste a moveslot on Protect, it has better Speed, can easily gain momentum with a fast U-turn, and its Poison-type STAB and larger range of coverage make it a good option.

Moves
========

Protect lets Beedrill safely gain its boost in Speed when it Mega Evolves; it also lets Mega Beedrill scout for coverage moves that the foe might have or for potential Choice items. U-turn takes care of Psychic-, Grass-, and Dark-types such as Meloetta, Mega Slowbro, Serperior, and Hoopa-U, and it lets Mega Beedrill gain momentum. Gunk Shot is Mega Beedrill's strongest move, and it lets it easily take care of Grass- and Fairy-types such as Serperior and Clefable; its chance to poison foes is also very useful. Drill Run lets Mega Beedrill KO Steel- and Rock-types such as Heatran, Excadrill, Klefki, Magnezone, and Terrakion, while Knock Off lets it remove items from bulky Pokemon such as Shed Shell Skarmory, Rocky Helmet Landorus-T, and Leftovers Heatran, which cripples them severely, in addition to OHKOing Gengar. Megahorn can be used over U-turn to let Mega Beedrill hit extremely hard; however, while U-turn lets Mega Beedrill gain momentum, Megahorn lets it KO walls such as Mega Sableye and Hippowdon more easily.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack and Speed EVs with a Jolly nature let Mega Beedrill hit as hard and move as fast as possible, letting it outspeed Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf users such as Tyranitar, Heatran, Aerodactyl, and Hoopa-U and Speed tie with Mega Sceptile. Adaptability lets Mega Beedrill hit extremely hard with its STAB moves to KO a plethora of Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

Try to get Mega Beedrill into the field after a teammate is KOed or with a pivoting move. Use Protect while Mega Evolving to safely gain the needed boost in Speed; you don't need to use Protect when Mega Evolving against Pokemon that are slower than Beedrill. Early-game, try to U-turn out of physical walls such as Mega Scizor, Mega Slowbro, and Landorus-T and to scout for moves and allow teammates to have better matchups. Use Gunk Shot to KO Fairy- and Grass-types and to break down walls. Avoid priority users such as Prankster Sableye with Will-O-Wisp or Parting Shot, Water Shuriken Azumarill, Fake Out + Extreme Speed Mega Lopunny, and Talonflame and Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, so that Mega Beedrill isn't KOed.

Team Options
========

Physical walls and bulky Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Heatran, and Hippowdon are good teammates because of their ability to switch into Fake Out + Extreme Speed users. Entry hazard clearers such as Landorus-T, Excadrill, Latias, and Starmie help Mega Beedrill survive longer. Entry hazard setters such as Klefki, Ferrothorn, and Garchomp give Mega Beedrill an easier time KOing threatening foes. Fire-types such as Heatran and Rotom-H take care of the Steel-types that aren't weak to Drill Run in Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn. Fake Out + Extreme Speed users such as Porygon-Z and Porygon2, as well as Gale Wings Talonflame, are good for handling Choice Scarf users such as Keldeo. Fighting-types such as Terrakion and Keldeo take care of opposing Rock- and Steel-types such as Terrakion and Bisharp. Magnezone and Magneton can be used as partners, as they can easily trap Steel-types and KO or damage them. Terrakion also handles Fake Out + Extreme Speed users such as Porygon-Z and Stoutland. Other U-turn, Parting Shot, and Volt Switch users such as Landorus-T, Sableye, and Rotom-W help gain momentum too and absorb Fake Out + Extreme Speed.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Swords Dance or Coil can be run over Drill Run to allow Mega Beedrill to hit a lot harder; however, this means it has no reliable way of hitting Steel-types and will probably need to switch out when facing them. If you run Swords Dance or Coil, make sure to use Megahorn over U-turn. Toxic Spikes can also be run over Drill Run to help Mega Beedrill and its teammates KO foes more easily; however, the same issue with lack of coverage still applies. Pursuit can also be run over Drill Run to let Mega Beedrill Pursuit trap opposing Psychic- and Ghost-types. All of these moves can be run over Protect too; however, this is extremely risky, as it makes it difficult for Beedrill to Mega Evolve.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Priority Users**: Ice Shard Weavile and Kyurem-B, Sucker Punch Hoopa-U, Weavile, and Tyranitar, Water Shuriken Gyarados and Azumarill, and Fake Out + Extreme Speed Mega Lopunny, Porygon-Z, and Stoutland all easily KO Mega Beedrill because of its terrible base 40 Defense.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, Heatran, Skarmory, Forretress, and Klefki all easily render Mega Beedrill useless because it can't hit them very hard. However, Heatran and Klefki should watch out for Drill Run, and Skarmory and Forretress dislike Knock Off immensely.

**Choice Scarf Users**: Choice Scarf users, specifically those with over base 80 Speed, such as Terrakion, Landorus-T, and Keldeo, can outspeed and KO Mega Beedrill with Diamond Storm, Dragon Ascent, and Water Spout, respectively.

**Physical Walls**: Physical walls such as Mega Scizor, Landorus-T, Quagsire, Hippowdon, Gyarados, and Gliscor can survive a hit from Mega Beedrill. Mega Scizor resists U-turn, is immune to Gunk Shot, and takes neutral damage from Drill Run and can set up and KO it; Landorus-T has Intimidate to weaken Mega Beedrill, has enough bulk to survive its attacks, and has the movepool to easily get rid of it; and Quagsire, Hippowdon, Gyarados, and Gliscor survive any hit from it and can easily KO it in return.

Okay good analysis, a few comments...

[OVERVIEW]

- Looks fine

[SET]

Come up with a set name.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- I'd like to see Megahorn listed as a powerful nuke option. I think its viable enough to be mentioned here rather than OO, but its really up to you.
-Remove Tyranitar under Drill run, it doesn't do enough to KO and you aren't going to survive it to 2HKO.
- I'd also remove Azumarill under Gunk Shot, you aren't going to stay in to to hit it unless you know it doesn't have espeed/water shuriken

Set Details
========

- Talk about Adaptability and how hard it lets it hit.

Usage Tips
========

- 5th bullet really confuses me.
- Talk about how you can't stay in on anything with priority such as Azu, Prankster stuff, Talon and really anything.
- Talk about using U-Turn to scout and allow your teammates to get a better matchup

Team Options
========

- I'd like to see other members of VoltTurn core such as Rotom, Lando-T, Parting Shot Sableye, etc.
- "Hazard clearers such as Garchomp" ?? Lando maybe or others.
- Talk about how Fighting types also handle Steel-Types.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

-OO loooks fine

Checks and Counters
===================

- Needs a section to Steel-types such as Ferro, Balloon Heatran, Magnet Rise Klefiki, (Mega) Scizor, etc.

Otherwise looks good, QC 1/3

Overview
- The first point is a mix of positives and negatives. Could you solidify this into how it has great Attack and Speed stats, and move needing to use Protect entirely to the second section?
- You should add something about U-turn not only being very strong but obviously grabbing momentum very easily
- Facing competition with Mega Scizor shouldn't be the only thing here. You should instead have something about its opportunity cost as a Mega Evolution that offers little defensive utility
- Mention its weakness to Stealth Rock, which wears it down quickly and is detrimental to its role of a pivot

Set
- The set name should not be 'All-Out Attacker', as it doesn't make sense with the idea of Mega Beedrill constantly U-turning out

Moves
- Protect also allows Beedrill to scout for coverage, the opponent's response, and potential Choice items
- You could also consider putting U-turn in front of Protect, but that's definitely up to you
- No need to talk about Adapability here
- Leave U-turn's targets to one of each type in order. To be honest, you don't actually need to mention what it hits but that's ok
- Mention that Gunk Shot is its strongest move and has a helpful secondary effect
- I guess you can mention Terrakion for Drill Run targets, but Steel-types take priority here because they resist both of Mega Beedrill's STAB attacks. Tyranitar also makes no sense as Mega Beedrill would rather U-turn on it (and it also dislikes Sucker Punch), which Scyther did mention above
- Knock Off doesn't actually 'take care' of these Pokemon, it simply removes their item. You should describe how losing their item cripples a lot of Pokemon and how Knock Off OHKOes Gengar
- Be a little more descriptive about Megahorn. What does giving up U-turn mean for Mega Beedrill and offensive momentum? What walls get hit harder?

Set Details
- No point talking about Jolly Tyranitar, it sounds like Heatran also runs Jolly and that Adamant Choice Scarf Tyranitar is an option. Mention what it outspeeds first and add Aerodactyl, and then mention what it Speed ties with
- The Adapability description is really vague. The reader won't be able to understand what moves it boosts

Usage Tips
- Mention getting it in safely with the use of a pivoting move or after a teammate has fainted
- I mean Gunk Shot doesn't just take care of those Pokemon
- You should be clearer about going for U-turn a lot early-game and using Gunk Shot to break down walls
- You can put Fake Out + Extreme Speed users with the other priority users

Team Options
- Uhh Rock-type Pokemon struggle to deal with all the common coverage moves of Fake Out + Extreme Speed users. You should simply have physical walls such as Landorus-T and Hippowdon to absorb Fake Out + Extreme Speed. Heatran also isn't great for this because of Mega Lopunny's High Jump Kick, Stoutland's Superpower, and Ursaring's Earthquake
- Garchomp does not remove hazards, as Scyther noted above. Pokemon such as Latios, Latias, Landorus-T, and Excadrill would be nice here
- Magnezone and Magneton t b h
- Don't mention Baton Pass users, as it feels really niche. Just keep it to one U-turn user, one Volt Switch user, and one Parting Shot user
- If you mention Landorus-T, Rotom-W, and Sableye you can also tie this into the Fake Out + Extreme Speed absorbers

Other Options
- Mention that Swords Dance and Coil should be using Megahorn, but they're easily revenge killed anyway
- Toxic Spikes should be run in the coverage slot, never over Protect. Drill Run isn't really 'needed coverage' given that Mega Beedrill is going to click U-turn a lot anyway
- You should also change mentions of Drill Run to 'Mega Beedrill's coverage slot' or something, because Knock Off is also right there
- Pursuit traps Psychic- and Ghost-types in general

Checks and Counters
- Should be 'Priority Users'
- Sucker Punch Hoopa-U not Hoopa, Weavile and Tyranitar also use Sucker Punch
- It should really be 'Choice Scarf Users' with a mention of how high their Speed stat needs to be to outspeed Mega Beedrill. Choice Scarf Landorus-T should also be here, not under physical walls
- Flying-types isn't really that great a category. You should have things like Landorus-T, Hippowdon, Gliscor, Gyarados, and Quagsire under 'Physical Walls' instead
- Add Skarmory and maybe Forretress to Steel-types. Mega Beedrill can hit these Pokemon 'at all'. It should be something like not being able to hit them hard instead, because they aren't literally immune to U-turn. You don't need to mention Air Balloon or Magnet Rise, just mention that some of them are hit hard by Drill Run or dislike Knock Off immensely

a lot of this doesn't feel very idk cohesive or easily understandable so hopefully that'll change when it's written up

QC 2/3

I'm assuming this ready for QC 3/3

I don't have much time / its early so I'll get to this either later today or tomorrow

Overview
  • Mention it has good utility moves in Knock Off and U-Turn
  • You don't have to specify the stats, since the stats will be above the analysis - instead, use adjectives such as "incredibly" or "lightning" (or "poor" in the case of its bulk)
  • You can't have a "closing statement" like the half of your last sentence
Pivot
  • Mention that Protect is not necessary if the opponent is slower than standard Beedrill, which isn't uncommon against bulkier teams
  • Having both "physical walls" and "bulky pokemon" feels redundant - replace one or the other, and move the mentioned Pokemon to the same category.
OO
  • Mention that these options can also be ran over Protect, but mention how risky that is
CnC
  • I would move Choice Scarf users 1 down and Steel-types in the 2nd spot (so it would be Priority / Steel / Scarf / Phys Walls
Once implemented, QC 3/3

[no blank line] Sadly, Mega Beedrill has lackluster bulk, which means that it's easily KOed by everything and loses to priority, especially Fake Out + Extreme Speed. It is also a Mega Evolution that offers little to no defensive utility, and its weakness to Stealth Rock leaves it worn down quickly and is dentrimental to its role as a pivot. Not only that, Mega Beedrill also faces competition with from Mega Scizor; however, while Mega Beedrill is weak to Stealth Rock and has to waste a moveslot on Protect, it has better Speed, can easily gain momentum with a fast U-turn, and its Poison-type STAB and larger range of coverage make it a good option.

Protect lets Beedrill safely gain its boost in Speed when it Mega Evolves; it also lets Mega Beedrill scout for coverage moves that the foe might have or for potential Choice items. U-turn takes care of Psychic-, (AC) Grass-, and Dark-types such as Meloetta, Mega Slowbro, Serperior, and Hoopa-U, and it lets allows (just to avoid saying "lets" again; this applies for some changes below as well) Mega Beedrill to gain momentum. Gunk Shot is Mega Beedrill's strongest move, and it lets it easily take care of Grass- and Fairy-types such as Serperior and Clefable; its chance to poison foes is also very useful. Drill Run lets Mega Beedrill KO Steel- and Rock-types such as Heatran, Excadrill, Klefki, Magnezone, and Terrakion, while Knock Off allows it lets Mega Beedrill to remove items from bulky Pokemon such as Shed Shell Skarmory, Rocky Helmet Landorus-T, and Leftovers Heatran, which cripples them severely, in addition to OHKOing Gengar. Megahorn can be used over U-turn to let Mega Beedrill hit extremely hard; however, while U-turn lets Mega Beedrill gain momentum, Megahorn lets it KOes walls such as Mega Sableye and Hippowdon more easily.

Maximum Attack and Speed EVs with a Jolly nature let Mega Beedrill hit as hard and move as fast as possible, letting it outspeeding Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf users such as Tyranitar, Heatran, Aerodactyl, and Hoopa-U and Speed tie tying with Mega Sceptile. Adaptability lets Mega Beedrill hit extremely hard with its STAB moves to KO a plethora of Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

Avoid priority users such as Prankster Sableye with Will-O-Wisp or Parting Shot, Water Shuriken Azumarill, Fake Out + Extreme Speed Mega Lopunny, and Talonflame and Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, (AC) so that Mega Beedrill isn't KOed.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard setters such as Klefki, Ferrothorn, and Garchomp give Mega Beedrill an easier time with KOing threatening foes. Fire-types such as Heatran and Rotom-H take care of the Steel-types that aren't weak to Drill Run in such as Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn.

All of these moves can be run over Protect instead too; however, this is extremely risky, as it makes it difficult for Beedrill to Mega Evolve.

Checks and Counters
===================

Hi Haund! I implemented most of these, but I skipped over the changes you made that were/related to/reflected on turning "lets" into "allows" + blank + "to," as they structurally are the same thing and it doesnt make sense why i needed to make these changes. The paragraphs sound the same regardless of if i use "let" or "allows...to," so i avoided putting these in. I also didn't add the "base 150" in the overview, as people viewing this analysis on the dex can see all of mega beedrill's stats above the analysis, as The Reptile said.

otherwise, implemented! thank you :)
