Garganacl is a great defensive tool within Ubers UU, being able to comfortably Stealth Rock on both of the tier’s best hazard removal options in Giratina and Terapagos. Tera Water provides Garganacl with a resistance to Steel and Water type moves such as Make it Rain from Gholdengo and Hydro Pump from Palkia and Palkia-O, while retaining a Fire resistance to handle Chi-Yu. Tera Fairy allows Garganacl to cover its Fighting type weakness such as Focus Blast from Landorus and Mewtwo, and also provides an immunity to Dragon type moves such as Palkia-O Spacial Rend, Kyurem-White Draco Meteor as well as Dragon Tail from Giratina. Protect synergizes well with Salt Cure, allowing Garganacl to scout choice-locked moves from Chien-Pao, Landorus, Palafin, and Palkia. Heavy-Duty Boots can be used on Garganacl as an alternative item on teams lacking hazard removal or to improve the matchup into Spikes Magearna. Garganacl best pairs with stall and fat balance teams using Giratina and Toxapex for excellent hazard control and passive damage support. Garganacl loses into two important ghost types, Spectrier and Necrozma-Dawn-Wings due to their combination of setup and self-recovery. Fast physical offensive pressure such as Zacian or Chien-pao can scare out both Pokemon, and Tanky Dark types such as Arceus-Dark can be used to answer Necrozma-Dawn-Wings regardless of set.

Garganacl remains a fantastic defensive tool within Ubers UU, being able to comfortably Stealth Rock on both the tier’s best Defog users in Giratina and Corviknight Prolly go with Mandibuzz rn. Salt Cure is a move that Garganacl can repeatedly click with near-zero downside, as Covert Cloak is a nonexistent item within Ubers UU. Steel-types like Magearna, Solgaleo, Corviknight, Gholdengo, Zamazenta-C as well as Water-types like Palkia-O, Palafin and Iron Bundle you forgot to finish the sentence. Tera Water is notable in allowing Garganacl to avoid 2HKOs from many special moves including Hydro Pump from Palkia-O and Iron Bundle, Earth Power from Landorus, Make it Rain from Gholdengo and Steel Beam from Magearna and Dialga provides Garganacl with a resistance to Steel and Water type moves. Tera Fairy is an option that allows Garganacl to cover your its Fighting type weakness from moves such as Mewtwo Focus Blast, and also provides and immunity to Dragon type moves immunity for the previously mentioned such as Palkia-O Spacial Rend, Kyurem-White Draco Meteor as well as Dragon Tail phasing from Giratina. Garganacl best pairs with stall and fat balance teams using Giratina and Slowking-G for excellent hazard control and passive damage support. Even with Special Defense investment and Ghost resist, Garganacl still struggles into Spectrier due to the combination of Draining Kiss and Nasty Plot so talk about pokemon that help against spectrier. While you're at it, also write up a bit about the NDW matchup. Arceus-Grass can hit Garganacl super effectively both with or without Tera when running Tera Water, though Giratina helps against this problem. Substitute Palkia-O can counter Garganacl if it can enter into play without taking a Salt Cure, but other special walls such as Blissey can safely switch in to deal with this tbh i'm a little iffy on this bit, cause garg is your last resort to deal with Palkia-O. You need to spend tera to beat Palkia-O and so idk if it's even worth mentioning that specifically sub Palkia-O beats you cause it generally sort of beats you anyways. It's up to you tho. Taunt Landorus-T can force Garganacl to switch without making any progress write a little more about what team mates help against lando t.

Garganacl remains is (not like it wasn't in the past)a fantastic great (fantastic is overboard)defensive tool within Ubers UU,(this is a bit redundant, since theyve gotta click on the tier in order to read the mini, nothing is technically wrong with it though) being able to comfortably Stealth Rock on both of the tier’s best Defog users in Giratina and Mandibuzz(knock is so scary from mandi, keep it if you want to though). Salt Cure is a move that Garganacl can repeatedly click with near-zero downside, as Covert Cloak is a nonexistent item within Ubers UU. (meh, doesn't really need to be here, doesn't really bring up anything to watch out for.)Steel-types like Magearna, Solgaleo, Gholdengo, Zamazenta-C as well as Water-types like Palkia-O, Palafin and Toxapex are all afraid of switching into Garganacl, even when they can check it offensively or defensively. Tanky Dark types such as Arceus-Dark can be used to answer Necrozma-Dawn-Wings regardless of set. Arceus-Grass can hit Garganacl super effectively both with or without Tera when running Tera Water, though Giratina helps against this problem. Substitute Palkia-O can counter Garganacl, but other special walls such as Blissey can safely switch in to deal with this. Taunt Landorus-T can force Garganacl to switch without making meaningful progress but fears taking a Salt Cure from Garganacl. Landorus-T itself can safely switch in on an opposing Landorus-T to force a U-turn, or options such as Chien-Pao and Palafin as well as most of the tier's Special attackers threaten Landorus-T.
