[SET COMMENTS]
Masquerain serves a valuable niche in Gen 9 OU, being one of the 3 fully evolved Pokemon that can learn Sticky Web in Generation 9. Masquerain is a Suicide Lead, using Focus Sash to effectively set up Sticky Web. With decent predictions, these webs will be able to control the opponent's speed for the remainder of the game, allowing for slower Pokemon to shine offensively. STAB Hurricane with 104 SpA EVs allows Masquerain to OHKO Physically Defensive Great Tusk and Spikes Lead Meowscarada, who are both prevalent leads in the meta meant to set hazards. Quiver Dance allows for Masquerain to gain a +1 in both Speed and SpA, which pairs nicely with its Water coverage. Masquerain runs Hydro Pump to dispatch Garganacl, Glimmora, and Iron Treads after a boost, successfully stuffing most attempts to set hazards against webs. 156 Defense EVs allows for Masquerain to live a Salt Cure from Garganacl, as well as leave it with enough HP to survive the residual damage for the turn, allowing it to chip a chunk of its health on its weaker Special Defense stat. Tera Ghost is the best Tera Type for Masquerain, while you probably will not be Terastallizing it too much, you can click Tera Ghost to block a potential Rapid Spin against your webs. Tera Ghost boosted Shadow Ball can help immensely against Hatterene, which is one of the biggest roadblock Masquerain faces when attempting to set up webs.

Webs Masquerain can prove to be a valuable asset on any offensive team that includes members that tend to run on the slower side. Usually, Masquerain can be best paired with Gholdengo. Its Speed tier allows it to outspeed the entire grounded tier after Webs are up, and can also block potential removal, as well as removing Corviknight and especially Magic Bounce Hatterene, which Masquerain tends to struggle against. Gholdengo really appreciates Masquerain's pressure against Great Tusk, one of its biggest counters. Sticky Web allows for slower offensive threats to succeed, Breloom is the best example of this. Masquerain can appreciate Breloom's ability to Spore and put threats to sleep, where it can more easily set up Sticky Web, if it isn't up already. Webs can't be set in every match however, and as a result, Booster Energy Iron Valiant is commonly paired with Webs, allowing for your team to outspeed and take out threats even when Sticky Web isn't active, as well as having a potent STAB combination that can compliment Masquerain.
