[OVERVIEW]
Water
========
Suicune's great defensive typing, fantastic natural bulk, and ability to easily stall out threatening attacks with Pressure make it a solid defensive Pokemon. Calm Mind allows Suicune to become also be a threatening sweeper. Its decent natural Speed can be invested into to allow it to outpace many threats such as Diggersby and Mega Swampert outside rain. Scald pressures physically offensive threats with burns, making it a great move to use with Calm Mind's Special Defense boosts. With the combination of Calm Mind, Pressure, and excellent bulk, Suicune can beat some of the biggest threats to Water teams, like Ferrothorn, one-on-one. At the same time, Suicune is very reliant on Scald to damage the foe, making any bulky Pokemon that resists it very hard for Suicune to break past. Without access to reliable recovery, Suicune is very quickly worn down by entry hazards and cannot reliably switch into attacks. Suicune is heavily reliant upon thorough team support and has to be used on specific builds to make it a threatening sweeper.

Moves
========

Scald allows Suicune to deal damage to opposing Pokemon and potentially cripple them with burns, making it harder for physical attackers to break through Suicune. Substitute helps Suicune avoid status conditions and becomes harder for special attackers to break with the help of Calm Mind. Substitute also acts as a buffer to get the most possible turns of Leftovers recovery and helps PP stall more effectively with Pressure. Calm Mind boosts Special Attack and Special Defense, allowing Suicune to not only hit harder but also tank special hits with more ease. Protect can be used to help stall out the opposing Pokemon's PP, scout moves, and allow Suicune to regain some health through Leftovers, which also helps keep Substitute up.

Set Details
========

The Speed investment allows Suicune to outpace Pokemon such as Diggersby, Zapdos, Heatran, and Buzzwole. Suicune's HP investment enhances its natural bulk and allows it to form substitutes with 101 HP, which don't break to one Seismic Toss. The Special Defense investment gives +1 Suicune's substitute a good chance of withstanding Volt Switch from common users such as Rotom-W and Lanturn. Leftovers allows Suicune to regain health lost from Substitute and opposing Pokemon's attacks.

Usage Tips
========

Try to avoid switching in Suicune on hazards, as they wear it down very easily due to its lack of reliable recovery. Suicune is best used as a late-game setup sweeper after all of its checks and counters have been taken care of, as they can easily stall out Suicune's Scald. When facing slower Pokemon that can spread status such as Toxic Jirachi and Heatran, it is best to get up a substitute to avoid those status conditions. Try to avoid losing Suicune's Leftovers to Trick or Knock Off, as it depends on Leftovers to stay healthy through the battle. In general, if a strong attacker comes in that is guaranteed to break Suicune's substitute, Suicune needs to use Protect and then decide if it's worth trying to stall out the opposing Pokemon's move with Substitute + Protect. If not, use Scald on the turn Substitute breaks, and then either use Protect or switch out if the extra Pressure turn doesn't matter or Suicune doesn't need additional Leftovers recovery. Suicune should use Protect as much as possible to regain health from Leftovers to help its longevity. Protect should not be used recklessly, because using up its PP makes Suicune less effective at pressuring opposing Pokemon. Calm Mind is most easily and best set up behind a substitute.

Team Options
========

Toxapex provides Suicune with Toxic Spikes, making Suicune's job of sweeping late-game easier. Toxapex also can check set up sweepers such as Volcarona with Haze. Keldeo is a tremendous help to Suicune, as it can help break through some of the toughest Suicune checks such as Ferrothorn as well as Water-immune Pokemon such as Cradily, Seismitoad, and Mantine by using Secret Sword and Hidden Power Electric. Greninja is a great Choice Scarf user that can take care of some key Fairy- and Grass-type threats such as Tapu Bulu and Tapu Koko with Gunk Shot, and with a Life Orb, it can 2HKO Ferrothorn with Hidden Power Fire without locking itself into a weak attack. Mantine offers hazard control for Suicune, which is important because Suicune's lack of reliable recovery means it can easily be worn down by residual damage. Mantine also acts as a buffer to Grass-types, a means to prevent setup through Haze, and a way to break down opposing walls with Toxic. Mega Swampert and Gastrodon provide a key Electric-type immunity for Suicune and can remove Electric-type Pokemon such as Tapu Koko. Mega Swampert can also set up Stealth Rock, which wears down Suicune's checks each time they switch in. Mega Swampert and Gastrodon also provide a means of switching into Trick users, as Gastrodon's Sticky Hold keeps it from losing its item and Mega Stones can't be removed. Dragon Dance Gyarados provides a way to break past annoying Grass- and Poison-type Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur with Supersonic Skystrike and Toxapex with +1 Earthquake. Azumarill provides a nice Grass immunity for Suicune. Empoleon can set up Stealth Rock for Suicune while also clearing hazards with Defog and phazing setup sweepers with Roar. Mega Sharpedo can take care of many bulky Pokemon that can give Suicune trouble such as Mantine and Slowbro with Crunch and weakened Mega Venusaur and Toxapex with Psychic Fangs, and its access to Speed Boost Mega Evolving can help it outspeed and OHKO fast threats such as Choice Scarf Victini. Tentacruel is an option over Toxapex for providing the team with Toxic Spikes; unlike Toxapex, Tentacruel can clear hazards off the field with Rapid Spin, but it lacks the recovery that Toxapex gets. Lanturn provides a nice Electric-type immunity for Suicune and can clear away status with Heal Bell.

Water
--------

Rest + Sleep Talk can be used over Substitute + Protect, to fully recover Suicune's HP; however, it requires Suicune to choose the right attacks with Sleep Talk, and can leave it setup bait. This also shifts the focus of Suicune from being a PP staller to a generally bulky setup sweeper. It's also pretty ineffective because Haze and phazing are fairly common. Toxic can be used over Calm Mind, which allows Suicune to break past Pokemon such as Mantine and Cradily; however, then it loses any offensive presence.

Checks and Counters
===================

Water
--------
**Grass-types**: Grass-types resist Suicune's Scald, making bulky ones very hard for Suicune to break past. Tapu Bulu deserves a special mention, as it not only boosts the power of its Grass-type attacks with Grassy Terrain but also OHKOes Suicune with Wood Hammer.

**Electric-types**: Electric-types can easily break through Suicune with their powerful STAB attacks. Tapu Koko deserves a special mention, as it sets up Electric Terrain to boost its Electric-type STAB attacks.

**Stallbreakers**: Taunt locks Suicune into Scald, which only is effectively spammed when Suicune is fully set up; Pokemon such as Cobalion can leave it easier for teammates such as Keldeo to deal with. Suicune is also vulnerable to Encore, as it mainly uses its passive and setup moves until it's ready to spam Scald. Mega Lopunny can lock Suicune into using a setup move such as Calm Mind and exploit that by spamming Power-Up Punch and proceeding to easily OHKO Suicune and its teammates.

**Bulky Water-types**: Suicune's way of cleaning through teams is Scald; however, bulky Water-types such as Toxapex can easily take a boosted Scald and recover off damage done by Suicune or remove its boosts with Haze. Empoleon can also tank a boosted Scald and force Suicune off the field with Roar, making it lose all of its stat boosts and possibly take more chip damage from entry hazards.

**Entry Hazards** When many entry hazards have been set, such as a few layers of Spikes and Stealth Rock, Suicune has a hard time being brought into play due to its only form of recovery being Leftovers. Suicune does not appreciate Toxic Spikes either, as the constant chip cancels out its Leftovers recovery.

**Knock Off and Trick**: Suicune relies on Leftovers to gain back health, as it has no access to recovery moves, making it a lot easier to chip down. Trick takes away Suicune's Leftovers and usually replaces it with a Choice item, making Suicune near useless.

**Water-immune Pokemon**: Suicune relies on Scald to do damage, making any Water-immune Pokemon impossible to break past. Pokemon such as Cradily and Mantine can also badly poison Suicune, severely reducing its time on the field. However, Suicune can take on Water-immune Pokemon one-on-one due to Pressure, Calm Mind, and Protect, making them not the most reliable Suicune checks.

[OVERVIEW]
Water
========

* Suicune with access to a great defensive typing in Water, fantastic natural bulk, and access to Pressure allow Suicune to become a very solid Calm Mind sweeper. Way too wordy, get to the point.
* Pressure allows Suicune to take double the PP off both offensive and defensive moves that are used against Suicune, leaving the opposing Pokemon with minor opportunities to break past Suicune in combination with Substitute and Protect. Change this to say how Pressure forces opposing Pokemon to burn through moves directed at Suicune twice as fast.
* Suicune's decent natural speed allow it to outpace many threats to Suicune such as Breloom, Diggersby, Mega Heracross and Mega Swampert outside rain. With Speed investment, otherwise it doesn't outpace any of these Pokemon. What does the decent speed stat + investment allow Suicune to do? I.e. be incredibly effective at PP stalling with SubTect. Breloom and Mega Heracross are poor examples since Bullet Seed or Pin Missile can burn through Suicune's Sub if it doesn't get burned.
* With access to solid STAB in Scald Suicune can more readily setup Calm Mind. It also pressures physically offensive threats with burns making it a great combo to Calm Mind's SpD boosts.
* Suicune is very reliant on Scald to damage the opponent making any Bulky Water resist very hard for Suicune to break past.
* Without access to reliable recovery, which leaves Suicune to be very quickly worn down by entry hazards and can't reliably switch into attacks well.
* Suicune is heavily reliant upon thorough team support to give it the opportunity to come in for a sweep.

Moves

Put these in the order they appear.

* Calm Mind boosts Suicune's Special Attack and Special Defense, allowing Suicune to not only hit harder but also tanks Special hits with more ease.
* Substitute can be used to help Suicune avoid status conditions and with the help of Calm Mind makes Substitute harder to break for weak Special attackers. Substitute also acts as a buffer to get the most possible turns out of Pressure and Leftovers recovery.
* Protect can be used to help stall out the opponents PP, scout moves, and it allows Suicune to regain some health through leftovers. It also helps to keep Substitute up.
* Scald allows Suicune to deal damage to the opponent's pokemon also having a 30% chance to cripple them with burns making it harder for physical attackers to break through Suicune.

Set Details
========

* The speed investment allows Suicune to outpace pokemon such as Breloom, Chandelure, and Dragonite.
* Suicune's HP investment takes advantage of Suicune's natural bulk while also allowing it to form Substitutes of 101 HP, which don't break to one Seismic Toss.
* The Special Defense investment gives Suicune a great chance to not break its Substitute to common Volt Switch users such as Rotom-Wash and Lanturn at +1 Special Defense.
* Leftovers restores some of Suicune's health per turn with extra time to gain back residual health due to Substitute and Protect.

Usage Tips
========

* Describe how to use the Pokemon in question. Lol
* Try to avoid switching in Suicune on hazards as they wear down Suicune very easily due to it having no form of reliable recovery.
* Suicune is best used as a lategame setup sweeper after all of its checks and counters have been taken care of as they can easily wear out Suicune's Scald.
* When facing opposing pokemon that can spread status or have access to Leech Seed such as Ferrothorn and Jirachi as they can cripple Suicune's longevity, it is always best to use Substitute against those threats. Reorder the examples to make sense, Ferrothorn is a bad example for using Substitute right away on since most carry Power Whip. In this case Protect would almost always be the better first option for scouting.
* Try to avoid letting Suicune's leftovers being Tricked or Knocked Off as it depends on Leftovers to stay healthy through the battle.
* While Suicune can wear down some of its checks with access to Substitute, Protect and Pressure it still needs to have enough PP for Scald to be able to clean the rest of the opposing team.
* When a threat switches in against Suicune behind a Substitute such as Alolan-Raichu, don't try to setup Calm Mind, but rather, Protect to gain back some health and Scald next turn to chip the threat before switching out. This isn't that great of advice and is way too situational to go about directly. In general if a strong attacker comes in that will break Substitute guaranteed Suicune needs to Protect and then the player needs to figure out if it's worth trying to stall out the opposing Pokemon's move or not with SubTect spam. If not then Scald should be used on the turn Substitute breaks and then either Protect on the next or switch out if the extra Pressure turn doesn't matter and/or Suicune doesn't need additional Leftovers recovery.
* Suicune should use Protect as much as possible to regain health from Leftovers as much as possible through the battle to help its longevity through the battle. A note about being careful not use up all of Protect's PP too quickly otherwise you won't get the most out of Suicune's Pressure.
* Any possibility that a pokemon will trick Suicune's leftovers away Suicune should switch out to preserve its leftovers and not get stuck with a useless Choice item. Change this to say that getting tricked can make Suicune practically useless, not that it gains a useless item.
* Calm Mind is most easily and best setup behind a Substitute as this allows Suicune to setup easier.

Team Options
========

* Describe some teammates that would be a good idea to pair with this Pokemon. Lol
* Toxapex provides Haze, which allows Toxapex to check setup sweepers for Suicune. Toxapex also provides Toxic Spikes support allowing Suicune to easily clean through weakened and poisoned teams late-game. Setting up TSpikes also forces in hazard removal Pokemon, possibly giving Suicune free turns to switch in and start its setup.
* Keldeo is a tremendous help to Suicune, with access to STAB Secret Sword and Hidden Power [Electric] it can help clean through some of the toughest Suicune checks such as Ferrothorn, Mantine, Mega Venusaur, Cradily, and Toxapex. Mega Venusaur and Toxapex are pretty bad examples since Mega Venusaur doesn't care about Keldeo and Toxapex just eats HP Electric. Realistically Suicune is far better against Mega Venusaur because it can burn Giga, Sludge Bomb, and Leech PP with Pressure stall. Mantine is a tough example here as well because on both types it appears it has great team support that can help to shut Keldeo down.
* Greninja can break through the bulkiest of Grass type pokemon with access to Ice Beam, Hidden Power [Fire] and Gunk shot, which allows Greninja to break through some of Suicune's hardest checks such as Mega Venusaur, Cradily, and Ferrothorn. Again, this doesn't really beat Mega Venusaur, it simply checks it if it's health is lower.
* Mantine offers hazard control for Suicune. As Suicune has no form of reliable recovery it can easily be worn down by entry hazards which are why hazard support is crucial to a clean Suicune sweep. In turn, Suicune can pressure Electric-types with Substitute, Calm Mind and Protect allowing it to pp stall some Electric attacks. Mantine also acts as a buffer to Grass-types, a means to prevent setup through Haze, and a way to break down opposing walls with Toxic.
* Mega Swampert is a great electric immunity and can bust through many checks such as Toxapex and Electric-Types with access to powerful Ground STAB in Earthquake. Mega Swampert can also set up Stealth Rocks, which, chip at Suicune's checks each time they switch in. Suicune can also help Mega Swampert out with Grass types as with a few Calm Minds, and a Substitute being setup many grass pokemon struggle breaking through.
* Starmie is also another form of hazard removal for Suicune through Rapid Spin. Starmie also can use Reflect Type to help better handle Electric- and Grass-type pokemon for Suicune. Starmie also provides a STAB Psychic which can help alleviate problems for Suicune such as Mega Venusaur and Toxapex.
* Gyarados provides ways to break past annoying Electric-, Grass-, and Poison-type pokemon with access to Earthquake, Dragon Dance, and Z Bounce; Gyarados can break past the likes of Tapu Koko at +1, Mega Venusaur and Toxapex at +1. Remove the bit about Electric-types since it's purpose relates to Grass and Poison generally, while also being a secondary setup sweeper that pairs well with Suicune. Really emphasize the bit on Mega Venusaur, this part carries the most importance.
* Azumarill provides a nice grass immunity for Suicune with access to Sap Sipper. Azumarill can also provide a means of poisoning Flying-type pokemon and Levitate users respectively with Toxic.
* Empoleon
* Gastrodon
* Mega Sharpedo

Much of the discussion for uses against Electric- and Grass-types is inaccurate so please be sure to look over this section again thoroughly.

* Rest + Sleep Talk can be used over Substitute + Protect, while this set may have fully recover Suicune its requires quite a bit of luck to land the right attacks with Sleep Talk and can be used to setup on. This also shifts the focus of Suicune from being a PP staller into a generally bulky setup sweeper. It's also pretty ineffective because Haze and other forms of phasing are fairly common in the current meta.
* Roar allows Suicune to phase out other setup sweepers which otherwise threaten the team and can be used to stack damage on teams with many hazards. You would be using this over Substitute, making Suicune susceptible to status and excessive amounts of damage.

**Grass-Types**: Grass-types resist Suicune's Scald making it very hard for Suicune to break past Bulky Grass-type pokemon. Tapu Bulu deserves a special mention as it not only boosts the power of its Grass STAB with Grassy Terrain but also is able to KO Suicune with Wood Hammer.

**Electric-Types**: Electric types can easily break through Suicune with powerful STAB attacks. Tapu Koko deserves a Special Mention as it sets up Electric Terrain boosting Electric-type STAB.

**Bulky Water-Types**: Suicune's way of cleaning through teams is Scald, however bulky water types such as Toxapex can easily take a boosted Scald and Recover off damage done by Suicune Recover.

**Entry Hazards** When many entry hazards have been set such as a few layer of Spikes and Stealth Rock, Suicune has a hard time easily being brought into play due to its only form of recovery being Leftovers.

**Taunt and Status Users**: Taunt prevents Suicune from using any other move aside Scald which can easily be taken advantage of. Suicune doesn't have access to reliable recovery making status conditions such as a burn or being poisoned severely reducing Suicune's longevity. Gliscor deserves a special mention as it can Taunt Suicune from using any other move aside Scald, is immune to Burns due to Poison Heal+Toxic Orb and can poison Suicune with Toxic.

**Knock Off**: Suicune relies Leftovers to passively gain back health as it has no access to recovery moves making SuiciNE a lot easier to chip down.

**Encore and Trick Users**: Suicune is vunerable to Encore as it mainly uses its passive and setup moves until it's ready to spam scald. Trick takes away Suicune's Leftovers and usually replaces it with a Choice item making Suicune near useless. Add this in with Knock Off, since they all do pretty similar things. Move Encore to the Taunt section.

**Phasers and Haze Users**: Whirlwind users such as Skarmory can disrupt Suicune's ability to sweep through the team by forcing a switch even behind a Substitute. Suicune relies on having a decent amount of Calm Mind boosts to dish out damage making users that can easily get rid of that hard work very pesky for Suicune. Mantine deserves a special mention as it can clear all of Suicune's boosts with Haze and is immune to Scald due to Water Absorb.

**Mantine**: Completely walls Suicune so it should have it's own thing
I would suggest reading this aloud to yourself and make corrections because a lot of this is just brutal to read through with the weird sentence structures and repetition.

* Without access to reliable recovery, which leaves Suicune to be very quickly worn down by entry hazards and can't reliably switch into attacks well. (Weird phrasing personally)
* Dependant on a very specific type of building, because without specific team support it can not accomplish what it is meant to.

* The speed investment allows Suicune to outpace pokemon such as Breloom, Chandelure, and Dragonite. (Chandelure isn't really a relevant mention personally, better off bringing up Zapdos, Diggersby, Gyarados, Heatran, etc...)
* Suicune's HP investment takes advantage of Suicune's natural bulk while also allowing it to form Substitutes of 101 HP, which don't break to one Seismic Toss.

* Any possibility that a pokemon will trick Suicune's Leftovers away Suicune should switch out to preserve its Leftovers and not get stuck with a useless Choice item.
* Calm Mind is most easily and best setup behind a Substitute as this allows Suicune to setup easier. (Too repetitive again, you are basically repeating the same thing twice.)

* Toxapex provides Haze, which allows Toxapex to check setup sweepers for Suicune. Toxapex also provides Toxic Spikes support allowing Suicune to easily clean through weakened and poisoned teams late-game. (I'd mention how it works as a switch-in against certain Suicune threats and also is able to absorb Toxic Spikes set by the opponent.)
* Keldeo is a tremendous help to Suicune, with access to STAB Secret Sword and Hidden Power Electric it can help clean through some of the toughest Suicune checks such as Ferrothorn, Mantine, Mega Venusaur, Cradily, and Toxapex. (In no way beats Mega Venusaur without prior damage)
* Greninja can break through the bulkiest of Grass-type Pokemon with access to Ice Beam, Hidden Power Fire and Gunk Shot, which allows Greninja to break through some of Suicune's hardest checks such as Mega Venusaur, Cradily, and Ferrothorn. (Same as Keldeo, also does not handle Cradily that well. More important to mention how Choice Scarf can deal with threats like Tapu Koko and Tapu Bulu.)
* Mantine offers hazard control for Suicune. As Suicune has no form of reliable recovery, it can easily be worn down by entry hazards which are why hazard support is crucial to a clean Suicune sweep. (Picky again, but this sentence could be reworded to be less repetitive.) In turn, Suicune can pressure Electric-types with Substitute, Calm Mind and Protect allowing it to PP stall some Electric-type attacks.
* Mega Swampert is a great Electric-type immunity and can bust through many checks such as Toxapex and Electric-Types with access to powerful Ground STAB in Earthquake. Mega Swampert can also set up Stealth Rock, which, chip at (I'm not sure if that's the right term) Suicune's checks each time they switch in. Suicune can also help Mega Swampert out with Grass-types as with a few Calm Minds, and a Substitute being setup many Grass-type Pokemon struggle breaking through. (The last sentence could be worded better. Also, mention Swampert as a teammate as well, not only the Mega.)
(I don't think Starmie really has enough presence in the meta to be mentioned, but I get the points made. Up to QC on what they want to do with that.)
* Gyarados provides ways to break past annoying Electric-, Grass-, and Poison-type pokemon with access to Earthquake, Dragon Dance, and Supersonic Skystrike; Gyarados can break past the likes of Tapu Koko at +1, Mega Venusaur and Toxapex at +1.
* Azumarill provides a nice grass immunity for Suicune with access to Sap Sipper. Azumarill can also provide a means of poisoning Flying-type Pokemon and Levitate users respectively with Toxic.
(Missing out on some other notable teammates such as Gastrodon who provides Electric-type immunity and a way to beat Trick, Empoleon who can serve as a Hazard setter and remover, Tentacruel for the same reason, Mega Sharpedo can clean up after Suicune breaks down teams and Milotic who takes advantage of Defog in the annoying matchup vs Flying teams.)

(Mantine is such a special mention that it should have it's own section.)

Amcheck, implement what you agree with and leave the rest for QC.

I would suggest reading this aloud to yourself and make corrections because a lot of this is just brutal to read through with the weird sentence structures and repetition.
AM Check, only implement if you agree/it is approved. This is my first one, tried covering as much as I could. Overall, you really need to look over the grammar part of the analysis.

Overview:
* Pressure burns through opposing Pokemon's moves PP twice as fast. Add why this is useful

Team Options:
* Keldeo is a tremendous help to Suicune, with access to STAB Secret Sword and Hidden Power [Electric] it can help clean through some of the toughest Suicune checks such as Ferrothorn, as well as Water Absorb Pokemon such as Cradily, Seismitoad, and Mantine.
*Add Tapu Fini (misty terrain to prevent status, access to defog, etc)

Checks/Counters:
**Mantine** This Pokemon deserves a special mention as it can clear all of Suicune's boosts with Haze and is immune to Scald due to Water Absorb. Mantine can also cripple Suicune's ability to stay healthy throughout the battle with Toxic. I would change this to all Water Immune Pokemon (jellicent, mantine, seismitoed, gastrodon, cradily) as they all effectively wall the same way as mantine, and you already have a separate section for haze specific pokemon

Otherwise, like KevinELF mentioned, make sure you reread/read aloud the analysis when you changed this into paragraph format. There's a lot of awkwardly phrased sentences, and it'd make GP's life easier when you get to that point.

Suicune with access to a great defensive typing in Water, fantastic natural bulk, and access to Pressure make Suicune a solid defensive pokemon. Access to Calm Mind allow Suicune to become a threatening sweepe You use 'access to' a lot in the first 2 sentences.Pressure burns through opposing Pokemon's moves twice as fast. This allows Suicune to stall out attacks that threaten Suicune. Suicune's decent natural speed with Speed investment allow it to outpace many of Suicune's threats such as Diggersby and Mega Swampert outside rain. Scald pressures physically offensive threats with burns making it a great move to use with Calm Mind's boosting it's Special Defense. You got the positives down, but talking about stuff like Pressure or Calm Mind separately isn't telling me much about why Suicune is so great. A lot of Pokemon can have Calm Mind or Pressure and still be bad. I would add a sentence at the end of positives about how all these factors together let it actually beat some of the biggest threats to Water teams, like Ferrothorn, 1v1. At the same time, Suicune is very reliant on Scald to damage the opponent making any bulky Water-type resist very hard for Suicune to break past. Without access to reliable recovery, Suicune is very quickly worn down by entry hazards and can not reliably switch into attacks. Suicune is heavily reliant upon thorough team support and certain builds to give it the opportunity to make it a threatening sweeper.

Scald allows Suicune to deal damage to the opponent's pokemon which also has a 30% chance to cripple them with burns making it harder for physical attackers to break through Suicune. Substitute can be used to help Suicune avoid status conditions and with the help of Calm Mind, Substitute becomes harder to break for Special attackers. Substitute also acts as a buffer to get the most possible turns out of Pressure and Leftovers recovery while more effectively being able to PP stall. Calm Mind boosts Suicune's Special Attack and Special Defense, allowing Suicune to not only hit harder but also tanks Special hits with more ease. Protect can be used to help stall out the opponents PP, scout moves, and it allow Suicune to regain some health through Leftovers, which also helps keep Substitute up.

Set Details

The speed investment allows Suicune to outpace pokemon such as Diggersby, Zapdos, Heatran, and Buzzwole. Suicune's HP investment takes advantage of Suicune's natural bulk while also allowing it to form Substitutes of 101 HP, which don't break to one Seismic Toss. The Special Defense investment gives Suicune a good chance to not break its Substitute to common Volt Switch users such as Rotom-Wash and Lanturn at +1 Special Defense. Leftovers allows Suicune to regain health lost from Substitute, and opposing Pokemon's attacks.

Usage Tips
========

Try to avoid switching in Suicune on hazards as they wear Suicune down very easily due to it having no form of reliable recovery. Suicune is best used as a late game setup sweeper after all of its checks and counters have been taken care of as they can easily wear out Suicune's Scald. When facing slower opposing pokemon that can spread status such as Toxic Jirachi and Heatran it is best to get up a Substitute to avoid those status conditions.
Try to avoid letting Suicune's leftovers being Tricked or Knocked Off as it depends on Leftovers to stay healthy through the battle. While Suicune can wear down some of its checks with access to Substitute, Protect and Pressure it still needs to have enough PP for Scald to be able to clean the rest of the opposing team Read this a few times and I'm still not sure what this means. In general if a strong attacker comes in that will break Substitute guaranteed Suicune needs to Protect and then decide if its worth trying to stall out the opposing Pokemon's move or not with Substitute+Protect spam. If not then Scald should be used on the turn Substitute breaks and then either Protect on the next or switch out if the extra Pressure turn doesn't matter and/or Suicune doesn't need additional Leftovers recovery. Suicune should use Protect as much as possible to regain health from Leftovers to regain health through the battle to help its longevity through the battle. Protect should not be used recklessly so all of Protect's PP wears out making it a less effective at pressuring opposing Pokemon. Any possibility that a pokemon will trick Suicune's leftovers away Suicune should switch out to avoid becoming dead weight You've said this before.Calm Mind is most easily and best setup behind a Substitute.

Team Options

Toxapex provides Suicune with Toxic Spikes, making Suicune's job of sweeping late-game easier. Toxapex also can check set up sweepers such as Volcarona with Haze for Suicune. Keldeo is a tremendous help to Suicune, with access to STAB Secret Sword and Hidden Power [Electric] it can help clean through some of the toughest Suicune checks such as Ferrothorn, as well as Water Absorb Pokemon such as Cradily, Seismitoad, and Mantine. Greninja is a great Choice Scarf Pokemon that can take care of some key Fairy- and Grass-type threats such as Tapu Bulu and Tapu Koko with Gunk Shot and can 2OHKO Ferrothorn with Hidden Power [Fire] I'm pretty sure non-Choice Scarf Greninja is good too..Mantine offers hazard control for Suicune as Suicune has no form of reliable recovery it can easily be worn down by entry hazards. Mantine also acts as a buffer to Grass-types, a means to prevent setup through Haze, and a way to break down opposing walls with Toxic. Mega Swampert and Gastrodon provide a key Electric-type immunity for Suicune and can proceed to remove Electric-type pokemon such as Tapu Koko and Alolan Raichu with Earthquake Alolan Raichu always has Grass Knot. Mega Swampert can also set up Stealth Rock, which wears down Suicune's checks each time they switch in. However, Gastrodon has Recover allowing it to stay healthy through the battle making it a very solid Electric immunity Unnecessary. Mega Swampert and Gastrodon also provide a means of switching into Trick users, Gastrodon's Sticky Hold keeps it from losing its item and Mega Stones can't be tricked. Gyarados provides ways to break past annoying Grass-, and Poison-type pokemon, such as .... , with access to Earthquake, Dragon Dance, and Supersonic Strike. Gyarados can break past the likes of key threats such as Mega Venusaur and other threats such as Toxapex at +1. More concise this way Azumarill provides a nice grass immunity for Suicune with access to Sap Sipper. Azumarill can also provide a means of poisoning Flying-type pokemon and Levitate users respectively with Toxic . Empoleon can setup Stealth Rock for Suicune, while also providing Defog and Roar which clear hazards and phase out setup sweepers for Suicune, respectively. Mega Sharpedo can take care of many bulky Pokemon that can give Suicune trouble such as Mantine and Slowbro with Crunch, weakened Mega Venusaur and Toxapex with Psychic Fangs. Mega Sharpedo with access to Speed Boost in its pre-mega evolution stage has access to Speed Boost which can help it outspeed and then OHKO fast threats such as Bolt Strike Choice Scarf Victini. Tentacruel is an option over Toxapex for providing the team with Toxic Spikes, however, unlike Toxapex, Tentacruel can clear hazards off the field with Rapid Spin but loses out on the recovery that Toxapex gets.

Rest + Sleep Talk can be used over Substitute + Protect, which fully recovers, however it requires Suicune to land the right attacks with Sleep Talk, and can be used to setup on. This also shifts the focus of Suicune from being a PP staller into a generally bulky setup sweeper. It's also pretty ineffective because Haze and other forms of phasing are fairly common in the current meta. Roar allows Suicune to phase out other setup sweepers which otherwise threaten the team and can be used to stack damage on teams with many hazards. Suicune would also be using this over Substitute, making Suicune susceptible to status and excessive amounts of damage. Remove Roar Toxic can also be used over Calm Mind, this allows Suicune to break past pokemon such as Mantine and Cradily however then it forgoes having any offensive presence.

Checks and Counters
===================

Water
--------
**Water Absorb Pokemon** Suicune relies on Scald to do damage making any Water Absorb Pokemon impossible to break past. Pokemon such as Cradily and Mantine can also Toxic Suicune severely reducing its time on the field. This section is a little weird because I'm pretty sure Suicune can PP stall most of them. For now just move it to the bottom of C&C.

**Grass-Types**: Grass-types resist Suicune's Scald making it very hard for Suicune to break past bulky Grass-type pokemon. Tapu Bulu deserves a special mention as it not only boosts the power of its Grass STAB with Grassy Terrain but also is able to OHKO Suicune with Wood Hammer.

**Electric-Types**: Electric types can easily break through Suicune with powerful STAB attacks. Tapu Koko deserves a Special Mention as it sets up Electric Terrain boosting Electric-type STAB.

**Bulky Water-Types**: Suicune's way of cleaning through teams is Scald, however bulky Water-types such as Toxapex can easily take a boosted Scald and Recover off damage done by Suicune. Mention that Toxapex can use Haze and add Empoleon because it can phase

**Entry Hazards** When many entry hazards have been set such as a few layer of Spikes and Stealth Rock, Suicune has a hard time easily being brought into play due to its only form of recovery being Leftovers. Add status, explained below, and rename to "residual damage"

**Taunt, Status Users and Encore**: Taunt locks Suicune into Scald which really only is effectively spammed when fully setup. Status conditions such as a Burn or Toxic severely reduce Suicune's ability to stay healthy through the battle. Gliscor deserves a special mention as it can Taunt Suicune from using any other move aside Scald, is immune to Burns due to Poison Heal+Toxic Orb and can poison Suicune with Toxic. Gliscor doesn't check Suicune Suicune is vulnerable to Encore as it mainly uses its passive and setup moves until it's ready to spam Scald. Taunt and Encore can be combined into "stallbreakers". Reword this section and give examples of stallbreakers. You can combine status with entry hazards and rename it as "residual damage" or something.

**Knock Off and Trick**: Suicune relies on Leftovers to passively gain back health as it has no access to recovery moves making Suicune a lot easier to chip down. Trick takes away Suicune's Leftovers and usually replaces it with a Choice item making Suicune near useless.

**Phasers and Haze Users**: Whirlwind users such as Skarmory can disrupt Suicune's ability to sweep through the team by forcing a switch even behind a Substitute Suicune relies on having a decent amount of Calm Mind boosts to dish out damage making users that can easily get rid of that hard work very pesky for Suicune. Imo this isn't necessary. You already have Empoleon and Toxapex in Water-types and the only other relevant Haze user is Mantine, which you've mentioned too
Tag me once you implement this so I can take a look at C&C again

Will implement izayas check

edit: finished Izaya's check, this was heavily dated so I added some new things to C&C like Cacturne in Grass-type pokemon for its ability Water Absrob and being able to set spikes and threaten all water types with Seed Bomb and Thunder Punch. I also added mlop for the pup+encore set which completely takes advantage of vincune's passive nature.

sorry it took so long to implement this check

  • Example of Taunt user?
  • Move stallbreakers above bulky Water-types

Mega Swampert and Gastrodon provide a key Electric-type immunity for Suicune and can remove Electric-type Pokemon such as Tapu Koko. Mega Swampert can also set up Stealth Rock, which wears down Suicune's checks each time they switch in. Mega Swampert and Gastrodon also provide a means of switching into Trick users, as Gastrodon's Sticky Hold keeps it from losing its item and Mega Stones can't be removed. Dragon Dance Gyarados provides a way to break past annoying Grass- and Poison-type Pokemon such as Toxapex with +1 Earthquake and Mega Venusaur with Supersonic Skystrike and Toxapex with +1 Earthquake. Azumarill provides a nice Grass immunity for Suicune. Empoleon can set up Stealth Rock for Suicune while also clearing hazards with Defog and phazing setup sweepers with Roar for Suicune. Mega Sharpedo can take care of many bulky Pokemon that can give Suicune trouble such as Mantine and Slowbro with Crunch and weakened Mega Venusaur and Toxapex with Psychic Fangs, and its access to Speed Boost in its pre-Mega Evolution stage before Mega Evolving can help it outspeed and OHKO fast threats such as Choice Scarf Victini. Tentacruel is an option over Toxapex for providing the team with Toxic Spikes; unlike Toxapex, Tentacruel can clear hazards off the field with Rapid Spin, but it loses out on lacks the recovery that Toxapex gets. Lanturn provides a nice Electric-type immunity for Suicune and can clear away status with Heal Bell.

Rest + Sleep Talk can be used over Substitute + Protect, (comma) to fully recover Suicune's HP; however, it requires Suicune to land choose the right attacks with Sleep Talk, (comma) and can leave it setup bait. This also shifts the focus of Suicune from being a PP staller to a generally bulky setup sweeper. It's also pretty ineffective because Haze and phazing are fairly common. Toxic can also be used over Calm Mind, which allows Suicune to break past Pokemon such as Mantine and Cradily; however, then it loses any offensive presence.

Checks and Counters
===================

Water
--------
**Grass-types**: Grass-types resist Suicune's Scald, making it bulky ones very hard for Suicune to break past bulky Grass-type Pokemon. Tapu Bulu deserves a special mention, as it not only boosts the power of its Grass-type STAB attacks with Grassy Terrain but also is able to OHKOes Suicune with Wood Hammer.

**Electric-types**: Electric-types can easily break through Suicune with their powerful STAB attacks. Tapu Koko deserves a special mention, as it sets up Electric Terrain to boost its Electric-type STAB attacks.

**Stallbreakers**: Taunt locks Suicune into Scald, which really only is effectively spammed when Suicune is fully set up; Pokemon such as Cobalion can leave it easier for teammates such as Keldeo to deal with. Suicune is also vulnerable to Encore, as it mainly uses its passive and setup moves until it's ready to spam Scald. Mega Lopunny can Encore lock Suicune into using a setup move such as Calm Mind and exploit that by spamming Power-Up Punch and proceeding to easily OHKO Suicune and its teammates.

**Bulky Water-types**: Suicune's way of cleaning through teams is Scald; however, bulky Water-types such as Toxapex can easily take a boosted Scald and recover off damage done by Suicune or remove its boosts with Haze. Empoleon can also tank a boosted Scald and Roar force Suicune off the field with Roar, making it lose all of its stat boosts and possibly retaking take more chip damage from entry hazards.

**Entry Hazards** When many entry hazards have been set, such as a few layers (unbold s) of Spikes and Stealth Rock, Suicune has a hard time being brought into play due to its only form of recovery being Leftovers. Suicune does not appreciate Toxic Spikes either, as the constant chip cancels out its Leftovers recovery.

**Knock Off and Trick**: Suicune relies on Leftovers to passively gain back health, as it has no access to recovery moves, making it a lot easier to chip down. Trick takes away Suicune's Leftovers and usually replaces it with a Choice item, making Suicune near useless.

**Water-immune Pokemon**: Suicune relies on Scald to do damage, making any Water-immune Pokemon impossible to break past. Pokemon such as Cradily and Mantine can also Toxic badly poison Suicune, severely reducing its time on the field. However, Suicune can take on Water-immune Pokemon one-on-one due to Pressure, Calm Mind, and Protect, making them not the most reliable Suicune checks.
