[OVERVIEW]

Togetic's high defensive stats coupled with Eviolite allow it to perform the role of a bulky cleric while also making it the bulkiest Defogger in the tier. Its unique typing also allows it to check many Fighting- and Dark-type Pokemon like Primeape and Absol. However, if Togetic's Eviolite gets removed by Knock Off, then Pokemon like Kangashan and Archeops can 2HKO it with ease. Togetic is also very passive, and its typing isn't helpful for an entry hazard remover because entry hazards setters such as Ferroseed, Qwilfish, and Regirock put pressure on it and set up entry hazards freely. Additionally, if Togetic opts to waste a turn by using Defog or Heal Bell, then offensive Pokemon can come in and pressure it due to its passiveness. Lastly, Togetic's abilities are very mediocre; as a result, Super Luck is the only ability that Togetic can make use of.

move 4: Dazzling Gleam

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Defog removes entry hazards for Togetic's teammates, which is important on defensive teams because it alleviates pressure from passive damage and thus helps hazard-vulnerable Pokemon. Heal Bell enhances Togetic's support role by allowing it to remove status from itself and its teammates; removing burns and poison is crucial for maintaining defensive solidarity. Roost provides Togetic with reliable recovery, making it extremely hard to wear down in conjunction with Heal Bell, and is necessary to overcome Togetic's Stealth Rock weakness in the long term. Dazzling Gleam is Togetic's best STAB attack that hits Fighting- and Dark-types for super effective damage and also makes Togetic somewhat less Taunt bait.

Set Details
========

248 HP EVs allow Togetic to come in on Stealth Rock four times from full HP. 252 Defense EVs in conjunction with a Bold nature maximize Togetic's bulk, allowing it to tank assorted hits from Stealth Rock users such as Regirock and Golurk as well as check a good portion of physical attackers such as Absol and Primeape. Eviolite makes Togetic even bulkier, making it the bulkiest Defogger in the tier. Super Luck is the only ability that Togetic can get use of, and it increases the chance of a critical hit.

Usage Tips
========

Togetic should use Defog to remove entry hazards; be aware of the health that hazard setters are at because they can usually just come in and set up their respective hazards back, so prioritizing damage is huge in order for Togetic to use Defog effectively. Be wary when switching in Togetic on Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and Shiftry because they usually carry Knock Off. Togetic should also use Roost a lot on its checks and after it comes in on Stealth Rock.

Team Options
========

Togetic should be used on bulkier teams because it's too passive to use on offensive teams. Bulky Steel-types like Ferroseed and Aggron pair well with Togetic because they are immune to or resist several types, notably Poison, that Togetic is weak to. In return, Togetic can take on Fighting-types such as Primeape and Hitmonchan that threaten them out. Pokemon like Lanturn make for good partners for Togetic because Lanturn is able to check Electric-type Pokemon like Alolan Raichu and Manectric. Weezing also makes for a good partner because it is a secondary Fighting-resistant Pokemon that can reliably switch in on Knock Off for Togetic, as Togetic's Eviolite is significant and heavily relied on. Pair Togetic with Pokemon that are weak to entry hazards such as Pyroar, Oricorio-G, and Jynx; however, they might be pressured a lot because Togetic isn't the most reliable Defogger due to its weaknesses.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Thunder Wave can be used to cripple fast threats such as Pyroar while also being able to cripple setup sweepers like Carracosta. Flamethrower and Fire Blast give Togetic a way of 2HKOing Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Mawile; however, it trades Heal Bell, which is generally very important. Toxic can be used to put setup sweepers like Carracosta on a timer and to hit opposing Pokemon that carry recovery moves, such as Gastrodon. Grass Knot is another option that hits Stealth Rock users like Regirock and Golem however its a mediocre option because its weak. Wish can be used to provide healing support to its teammates on bulkier teams; however, this is done better by Audino, as Togetic doesn't have room for Protect, meaning it doesn't have a way to ensure reliable recovery.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: If Togetic lacks Flamethrower or Fire Blast, Steel-types like Aggron, Togedemaru, and Ferroseed can come in for free and pressure it with their STAB attacks.

**Poison-types**: Weezing and Qwilfish can use Taunt on Togetic and set up entry hazards, while Skuntank can put a dent into it with its preferred Poison-type attack.

**Taunt**: Pokemon with access to Taunt like Pyroar and Skuntank cripple Togetic and make it setup bait.

**Electric-types**: Electric-type Pokemon like Alolan Raichu, Manectric, and Lanturn force out Togetic with their STAB attacks. The former can use Volt Switch and gain momentum, but Togetic can use Roost on their Volt Switches.

**Ice-types**: Ice-types such as Abomasnow and Jynx are able to force Togetic out with their powerful Ice-type STAB attacks, but they must be wary of switching into a Fire Blast or Flamethrower.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Togetic has high defense stats and its typing allows it to check many Fighting- and Dark-type Pokemon like Primeape and Sabelye. - Worth mentioning that most of the Dark types it checks are able to cripple it with Knock Off.
  • Togetic is a bulky cleric - I'd mention that it is the bulkiest cleric in the tier
  • eviolite makes it even bulkier - Merge this with the last point
  • knock off cripples it severely - Expand this
  • its typing leaves it weak to many offensive types such as steel-, ice-, poison-, electric-
  • togetic is very passive in general and can be potential setup bait - For what
  • Togetic's abillites are very mediocre - And don't have much impact on what it does, e.g. Hustle
[SET]

Moves
========
  • Roost provides Togetic with reliable recovery, making it extremely hard to wear down in tandem with Heal Bell
  • Dazzling Gleam is Togetic's best STAB attack that hits Fighting-, and Dark-types for Super Effective damage
  • Heal Bell enhances Togetic's support role by allowing it to remove status from itself and from its teammates
  • Defog deters entry hazards for Togetic's teammates. - Defog doesn't deter anything, it removes entry hazards because it's not like directly beats most of the setters
  • Seismic Toss allows Togetic to deal consistent damage and hit standard switchins such as Weezing and Magmortar
Set Details
========
  • 248 HP allows Togetic to come in on Stealth Rocks 4 times - From full
  • 252 Defense EVs in tandem with 248 HP Evs maximize Togetic's bulk with a Bold Nature - I'd reword this, because it doesn't make sense
  • Eviolite makes Togetic even bulkier, boosting both its Defense and Special Defense stats by 1.5x
  • Super Luck increases the chance of a critical hit and is the only ability the standard set can put to use
Usage Tips
========
  • Use Defog to remove hazards from the field
  • Be wary when switching in Togetic on Fighting-types such as Gurdurr since they carry Knock Off - And Dark-types too
  • Switch Togetic in on resisted attacks or coverage moves
  • Use Thunder Wave to cripple foes like Primeape - Eh? You haven't even mentioned Thunder Wave on the set? Either remove this point or slash it with something
  • Use Togetic on bulky teams since it sports good defense and has access to great support moves
Team Options
========
  • Bulky Steel-types like Ferroseed and Aggron pair well with Togetic because they are immune and resist several typings that Togetic is weak to. - Maybe list these typings. I'm also sceptical about mentioning Ferroseed, because it generally functions are a Spiker, which isn't exactly the best with Defog; however I think it can stay
  • Bulkier teams that are in need of a bulky Cleric value Togetic
  • Pokemon that are weak to and appreciate entry hazard removal such as Pyroar, Oriocrio-G, and Jynx like Togetic's support.
  • Pokemon that get rid of Steel-types like Pyroar, Gurdurr, and Magmortar pair well with Togetic.
  • Weezing and Mesprit can reliably switch in on Knock Off for Togetic, as its Eviloite is significant and heavily relied on - What? Mesprit doesn't reliably switch in on Knock Off, remove this thanks. Mention something else like Passimian or even Gourgeist-XL, which has recovery and more bulk; heck, even Persian-Alola
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Thunder Wave is used to cripple fast threats such as Pyroar and Primeape, while also being able to cripple setup sweepers like Carracosta - I wouldn't mention Primeape, because it's almost never going to stay in versus a Togetic
  • Flamethrower or Fire Blast gives Togetic a way of hitting Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Mawile, but trades its STAB move
  • Toxic can be used to put setup sweepers like Carracosta on a timer - And it can also be used to hit opposing mons that carry recovery moves, such as Gastrodon or Musharna
  • Wish can be used to provide healing support to its teammates on bulkier teams; however, this is done better by Audino - And makes it easier for Togetic to wear down due to it requiring at turn to heal it
  • Mention that a SpD set is also an option
Checks and Counters
===================
**Knock Off**: Togetic relies heavily on its Eviolite to tank attacks, and if its Eviolite gets Knocked Off by Pokemon like Gurdurr or Absol, Togetic usually becomes dead weight. - You could also mention how Trick / Switcheroo totally cripples Togetic too

**Taunt** : Pokemon with access to Taunt like Weezing and Qwilfish cripple Togetic and make it setup bait.

**Steel-types**: If Togetic lacks Flamethrower or Fire Blast, Steel-types like Aggron and Ferroseed can come in for free and force it out

**Poison-types**: Weezing and Qwilfish can Taunt Togetic and set up entry hazards, while Skuntank can put a dent into it with its preferred Poison-type attack.

**Electric-types**: Electric-type Pokemon like Alolan Raichu, Manectric and Lanturn force out Togetic with their STAB attacks and the latter can use Volt Switch and gain momentum

**Ice-types** Ice-types such as Abomasnow and Jynx are able to force Togetic out with their powerful Ice STAB's, but must be wary of switching into a Fire Blast or Flamethrower

**Powerful Special Attackers** Due to being invested physically, Togetic struggles even against strong neutral special attacks from things such as Magmortar and Pyroar

Not QC but i think Specially Defensive Togetic should have its own set (which is imo better than physical).
its def not better than physical, and if anything it would go in oo. I'll see what QC says.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Togetic has high defense stats and its typing allows it to check many Fighting- and Dark-type Pokemon like Primeape and Sabelye. this point is sorta worded badly. you say its got high defense stats, but u continue to mention how it checks primeape and sableye thanks to its typing. i would say screw the first half and add it to the second point, and focus on the second point, the typing. u can expand on it a little bit and mention that it allows it to be one of the sole absol checks as well as gurdurr checks. they are ofc gonna knock but u mentioned sableye, which is a bad example because that is no way difficult or hard to stop in terms of as an offensive threat and it gets a knock on u as well.
  • Togetic is a bulky cleric i mention in the first point about mentioning its defensive stats. should be worded a long the lines of "Togetic's high defense stats coupled with Eviolite allows you to perform the role of a bulky cleric quite effectively."
  • eviolite makes it even bulkier scrap this point if you implement the above sentence
  • knock off cripples it severely no shit; try and mention pokemon that it cant check should its eviolite be knocked off. for example, stoutlands cb frustration doesnt 2hko from full w. evio, but without it, its an easy 2hko. probs not the best example considering its out of favour atm but smth like kangaskhan / non se archeops should suffice
  • its typing leaves it weak to many offensive types such as steel-, ice-, poison-, electric-. i would mention here why this actually matters. its typing also allows it to switch in on fighters / darks with ease. saying "offensive types" is rlly weird since what does it matter if an offensive pokemon comes and checks toge, isnt that the point of the offensive pokemon? I think this point can stay but it needs to be manipulated and potentially combined with the below point. Its purpose is utility; defog and cleric. say that its typing isnt condusive towards a hazards remover, since hazards setters such as ferroseed (steel), qwilfish (poison) and regirock (rock) weakness to rocks itself and therefore the pressure that puts on togetic is why it actually isnt good. If you were to waste a turn defogging or heal belling 2 scenarios occur, u let an offensive pokemon in which can settup and pressure your core since its weak and monostab or you let the pokemon that settup hazards back in again for free. so the defog is almost "pointless". this is what u should be stressing to the reader and not "shit glaceon forces it out so its bad"
  • togetic is very passive in general and can be potential setup bait combination with the above point
  • Togetic's abillites are very mediocre idk if this is even a point, your kinda stating the obvious here. i would seek advice from other qc about if this should stay
[SET]

move 1: Roost <i would put your utility moves first since they are the point of the set, followed by dazzling gleam and roost.
move 2: Dazzling Gleam
move 3: Defog
move 4: Heal Bell <gknot / fire blast is super tempting in this slot, maybe have a word with a qc
item: Eviolite
ability: Super Luck
nature: Bold
evs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Roost provides Togetic with reliable recovery, making it extremely hard to wear down in tandem with Heal Bell i'd say its neccesary to somewhat overcome the rocks weakness long term, especially with the lack of leftovers
  • Dazzeling Gleam is Togetic's best STAB attack that hits Fighting-, and Dark-types for Super Effective damage i think the main point behind dazzle is so that you arent taunt bait, more so than fighting dark coverage. leave that in but definately mention the taunt thing, thats the main reason to run an attack on utility mons.
  • Heal Bell enhances Togetic's support role by allowing it to remove status from itself and for its teammates mention here that removing burns / poisons from pokemon is crucial in maintaining defensive solidarity.
  • Defog removes entry hazards for Togetic's teammates. mention that this is important on defensive teams since it alleviates pressure from hazards and therefore helps hazards weak pokemon.
Set Details
========
  • 248 HP allows Togetic to come in on Stealth Rocks 4 times from Full Hp as apposed to a full 252 hp, which cant
  • 252 Defense EVs and 248 HP EVs maximize Togetic's bulk with a Bold Nature u already mentioned togetics hp evs in the first point. move the maximising bulk to the top point, and in this point mention how physically defensive investment allow it to tank assorted hits from stealth rockers such as regirock, golurk (dont quote me, idk the calcs) and ferroseed, as well as check a good portion of physical attackers it walls, such as absol and primeape.
  • Eviolite makes Togetic even bulkier, boosting both its Defense and Special Defense stats by 1.5x. i'd mention that this makes it the bulkiest defogger in the tier as a result.
  • Super Luck increases the chance of a critical hit and is the only ability the standard set can put to use. this is kinda badly worded. try and swap the things over, say that the only ability thats useful is Super Luck, and its effect is that it increases crit chance
Usage Tips
========
  • Use Defog to remove hazards from the field this is obvious; add to this. a usage tip would be defog to remove hazards but to be aware of the health that the stealth rockers are at. because they can usually just come in and set their hazards back in again, so prioritising damage is huge in order for togetic to defog effectively.
  • Be wary when switching in Togetic on Fighting-types such as Gurdurr since they carry Knock Off cool, mention that this makes you so much weaker to other rockers which can prevent you from achieving your role effectively
  • Switch Togetic in on resisted attacks or coverage moves ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  • Use Thunder Wave to cripple foes like Primeape ??????????????????????????????????????????? u didnt even mention twave in the set wtf, remove this. wait, couldnt u just kill primeape with dazzle anyway?
  • Use Togetic on bulky teams since it sports good defense and has access to great support moves i dont think thats the reason why togetic is used on bulky teams; its more so that bulkier defensive cores tend to rely on good hp maintenance much more than offensive pokemon do. also mention that they are going to be statused more since they switch in a lot, compared to offensive cores which dont neccesarily rely on switching too often.
Team Options
========
  • Bulky Steel-types like Ferroseed and Aggron pair well with Togetic because they are immune and resist several typings that Togetic is weak to. this point is weak, either expand on it or remove it.
  • Bulkier teams that are in need of a bulky Cleric value Togetic. thats not an option, wdym by bulky teams. this point needs more expansion for sure, or remove it.
  • Pokemon that are weak to and appreciate entry hazard removal such as Pyroar, Oriocrio-G, and Jynx like Togetic's support. this is fine, just mention that they might be pressured a tonne beause togetic isnt the most reliable defogger due to its weakness'
  • Pokemon that get rid of Steel-types like Pyroar, Gurdurr, and Magmortar pair well with Togetic. um the 2 steel types that exist are aggron and ferroseed(not neccesarilly gonna be breaking teams). this point is weak, expand on aggron point heavily or remove.
  • Weezing can reliably switch in on Knock Off for Togetic, as its Eviloite is significant and heavily relied on. this is fine, but i think it needs further expansion. yes eviolite is that important, but maybe mention a secondary fighting resist as a whole point so that this point doesnt occur.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Thunder Wave is used to cripple fast threats such as Pyroar and Primeape, while also being able to cripple setup sweepers like Carracosta twave is kind of trash, remove mention of primeape especially since you 100% dazzling gleam that and kill rather than twave.
  • Flamethrower gives Togetic a way of hitting Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Mawile, but trades its STAB move no it doesnt? u remove heal bell if anything lol, fire blast also 2hkoes ferroseed after leech seed gets settup, flamethrower doesnt get that same power, so its kinda trashy.
  • Toxic can be used to put setup sweepers like Carracosta on a timer and can be used to hit opposing mons that carry recovery moves, such as Gastrodon or Musharna
  • Wish can be used to provide healing support to its teammates on bulkier teams; however, this is done better by Audino this is a huge stretch, get a secondary qc opinion on this
  • i'd mention gknot since it hits regirock, golem, and ground types / rock types in general which are your main sr setters usually.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Knock Off**: Togetic relies heavily on its Eviolite to tank attacks, and if it Eviolite gets Knock Offed by Pokemon like Gurdurr or Absol, Togetic usually becomes dead weight. this isnt a check or counter to togetic. this should be expanded on in usage tips, under no circumstances is this a check or counter tho lol.

**Taunt** : Pokemon with access to Taunt like Weezing and Qwilfish cripple Togetic and make it setup bait.

**Steel-types**: If Togetic lacks fire blast, Steel-types like Aggron and Ferroseed can come in for free and pressure it respectively

**Powerful Special Attackers** Due to being invested physically, Togetic struggles even against strong neutral special attacks from things such as Magmortar and Pyroar this is unpoint, you dont get checked by the likes of pyroar, its just not an efficient way of killing toge because its got MASSIVE spdef.
1/3 when u implement this
plz spend more time on this analysis, it seemed really rushed. u said the obvious a lot, few points were expanded on and this took too much time ;w;

Togetic should Defog to remove entry hazards and be aware of the health that the Stealth Rock user is at because they can usually just come in and set up their respective hazards back in again, so prioritizing damage is huge in order for Togetic to defog effectively u kinda slapped 2 things together here and it sounds rly weird. Togetic should be used on bulkier teams because it's too passive to use on offensive teams u accidentally put a team option in usage tips. Defensive cores will also be status more status more ?_? u mean they get statused more? and that's connected to switching in? this is so weird since they switch in a lot, compared to offensive cores which don't necessarily rely on switching too often.spaceBe wary when switching in Togetic on Fighting-types such as Gurdurr since they carry Knock Off. This also makes Togetic so much weaker to other rockers which can prevent it from achieving its role effectively this would be a fine point if it was explained at all, like what SRers run knock. Lastly, try to switch in Togetic on resisted attacks or coverage moves from Pokemon like Primeape and Hitmonchan.

i think if anything u should make the point that toge might have to deal with getting knocked, since it wants to take on mons that run it and u cant have it around and constantly avoid switching into shiftry or gurdurr. i also don't see anything about roosting a lot or dealing with its passiveness, and the whole thing is just written really odd.

u can put that accidental TO in UT here
Bulky Steel-types like Ferroseed and Aggron pair well with Togetic because they are immune and resist several types that Togetic is weak to. In return, Togetic can take on Fighting-types such as Primeape and Hitmonchan that threaten out the Steel-types. Weezing is a secondary Fighting resist that can reliably switch in on Knock Off for Togetic, as its Eviloite is significant and heavily relied on still don't agree with ur evio point whatsoever, plus toge defogs ur tspikes. Pair Togetic with Pokemon that are weak to and appreciate entry hazard removal such as Pyroar, Oriocrio-G, and Jynx since they like Togetic's support; however, they might be pressured a lot because Togetic isn't the most reliable defogger due to its weakness'.

this is quite small, not sure why ur not even attempting checks to steel/poison/electric/ice types that are all mentioned in checks and counters, or phys def support mons, or pokemon that appreciate its heal bell, or the kind of pokémon that you'll be switching out to bring togetic in i.e. stuff revenged by random darks or fightings

Thunder Wave is used to cripple fast threats such as Pyroar, while also being able to cripple setup sweepers like Carracosta. Flamethrower and Fire Blast give Togetic a way of 2HKOing Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Mawile, however, it trades Heal Bell which is very important. Toxic can be used on Togetic to put setup sweepers like Carracosta on a timer and to hit opposing Pokemon that carry recovery moves, such as Gastrodon. Grass Knot is another option that hits Stealth Rock users like Regirock, and Golem. Wish can be used to provide healing support to its teammates on bulkier teams; however, this is done better by Audino, as Togetic doesn't have room for protect, meaning it doesn't have a way to ensure reliable recovery.

Checks and Counters
=================== the last 4 categories are p small and don't entirely go over everything like there are more steels that annoy toge differently or that u can roost on some of the elec's volt switches

**Knock Off**: Togetic relies heavily on its Eviolite to tank attacks, and if it Eviolite gets Knock Offed by Pokemon like Gurdurr or Absol, Togetic usually becomes less useful as a physical wall i still totally disagree with this, id honestly just remove the point entirely

**Taunt** : Pokemon with access to Taunt like Pyroar and Skuntank cripple Togetic and make it setup bait. this can go below steel and poisons, not quite so relevant

**Steel-types**: If Togetic lacks Flamethrower or Fire Blast, Steel-types like Aggron and Ferroseed can come in for free and pressure it

3/3, really try to go over this stuff because it's the last check and there's quite a bit i have significant issues with, especially the knock point. no stamp for u
