Reservation Rules
  • Under normal circumstances, you may only work on up to two analyses at any given time or three if you are a badgeholder.
  • Moderators have the right to limit your analysis count to one at a time if they feel like you aren't ready to take another.
  • If your analyses are reassigned for any reason, you may only work on one analysis at any given time up until you've successfully complete a single analysis.
  • Analyses bolded red may only be reserved once given moderator approval. Post in the thread and wait for a moderator to give you the green light before doing anything or your analyses will be reassigned. QC and Forum Moderators are exempt from this rule.
  • You do not need to ask for permission to reserve an analysis unless it's bolded red. You may work on any other analysis right away once reserved.
  • If the QC team deems an analysis to be of poor quality, then they have every right to reassign it. If an analysis is not out of WIP within two weeks, then section moderators have the right to reassign the analysis.
  • Do not post skeletons lacking content, and in a similar vein, you must post your skeleton at least one week after reserving.
Analysis Thread Tags

When you post your thread, be sure to use the appropriate tag for each stage of the analysis. Below, you'll find an explanation for each individual process:

(WIP) - Work in Progress: The skeleton is incomplete and is not ready for the QC Team to evaluate. Keep in mind that the longer your analysis stays in WIP stage, the greater the chance of it being reassigned. Do not be lazy. Additionally, it's recommended to not comment on an analysis that's still a WIP, as the writer is still making the adjustments necessary before they are ready for feedback.

(Quality Control) - Quality Control Ready: In the thread title, include [QC: 0/3]. The skeleton is complete in bullet point form and now needs to seek approval by the QC Team. Make sure you update the thread title with the number of QC checks you currently have. Your analysis must be properly formatted and the thread properly labeled before receiving a QC check. After the second QC check, only then may you begin writing the analysis; otherwise, it must be in bullet point form to be QCed. Once given the second QC check, you must have the analysis fully written to receive the third QC check.

(Copyediting) - Grammar-Prose Ready: In the set title, include [GP: 0/2]. The three required QC approvals have been met. The Grammar-Prose team now takes over. When you are ready for a GP check, please post in the Grammar-Prose Queue with a link to your analysis once its done. Be sure to proofread your analysis and to read up on the GP standards beforehand to know what's expected.

(Done) - Completed: After the analysis gets two GP stamps, the analysis is ready to be uploaded. Be sure to update your thread's tags and stamp number as you move along the process. Lastly, bump your thread once the last GP check is implemented to notify the moderators that your analysis is ready to be uploaded.
