Chinchou

So, if you don't use Chinchou there, you become weak to stuff like Zebstrika with Gabite as your Volt Switch stop, but this team uses RestTalk Machoke as a blanket check for a lot of stuff (Zeb included). With 3 resists to Rock, that last slot can actually be open to more offensive Pokemon weak to SR to give you another Machoke check, given Swanna is acting as removal here.

TBMA's Chinchou wins!
Since last week was a little forced, I pulled out this offense team that doesn't come with very specific things not covered for the most part and the mon I actually used was pretty cool. What's my last?

- Flash Cannon

Grumpig @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 72 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Taunt

Rotom-Frost @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch

Monferno @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Mach Punch
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat

The team lacks a wincon and a good Stoutland response. It also helps break certain bulky mons for its partners like Gourgeist-XL for Leafeon or Audino for Rotom-Frost. It can also revenge kill weakened faster mons and can set up on mons like Leafeon and Cryogonal.

sorry, meant to do this.

I like to have a set-up sweeper on most of my teams to help with stall. Even though Grumpig + Probo can check-ish-thing Stoutland, it's not an amazing check. As a result, here;

(wtf is this lmao)

crustap ecks dee (Crustle) @ White Herb
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Earthquake

Crustle can use Stoutland locked into Superpower or Frustration to set up a Shell Smash and win / weaken things for Floatzel to win. Ice Beam Floatzel can weaken Grass-types like Tangela for Crustle, and Leafeon can bait them in so it can Knock Off their item. Rotom-F and Probopass' volt switches can give Crustle great setup opportunities.

Megazard asked for it so here it is:
ohmyyyyy.jpeg

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 1 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SpA / 30 SpD / 30 Spe
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp
- Nasty Plot
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

This team is incredibly Bouffalant weak especially the AV set. The only answer to Bouff on the team now is to chip it down while Bouffalant gets a few kills in the process. If the opponent also has some support for Bouff such as Healing Wish, this could be incredibly annoying to deal with. Misdreavus solves this problem effectively. Unlike Monferno, Misdreavus can come in on Bouffalant for free and start boosting up. Additionally, Misdreavus also aides in helping to check bulky psychic types like Grumpig and Beheeyem which are also an issue for this team. Sure this leaves you with no Stoutland switch ins but Leafeon can beat Stout 1v1 plus Rotom and Floatzel can both revenge kill it after its taken a hit.

Jurist wins! However I did use NP Misdreavus, not the same exact set as LST's and it was during the Machoke era when a nice pivot was more important so Monferno definitely looks more appealing now, but still props to him.

The team I have now may not be the absolute best, but it has a pretty solid goal and was built around Gogoat covering CB Relicanth's weaknesses as a wallbreaker on a balanced squad. What's my last?

Gogoat @ Leftovers
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 228 HP / 48 Atk / 232 SpD
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Horn Leech
- Rock Slide
- Milk Drink

Relicanth @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt

Clefairy @ Eviolite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast
- Thunder Wave

Vullaby @ Eviolite
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 236 Def / 24 Spe
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- Foul Play
- U-turn

Rotom-Frost @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Blizzard
- Trick

Grumpig @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 200 HP / 252 SpA / 56 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Taunt

Clefairy is a nice check to special mons but the team still struggles with both fire types (Sub Tales is a pain) and ice types (Regice, Rotom-f are both annoying) so bulky Grumpig is nice here to check those and still give the team some utility with Taunt. Shadow Ball > Thunder Wave for opposing Grumpig (Calm Mind specifically is annoying).

Marowak @ Thick Club
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bonemerang
- Knock Off
- Fire Punch
- Substitute

Basically, Golem and Monferno are kinda scary for this team, and Marowak is here to make them a little less scary to face. Knock Off is good here because other than Trick from Rotom, the team doesn't have any way to remove Eviolites and Leftovers, and as RawMelon said, Clefairy can be scary to face. Fire Punch is also good here because Marowak lures in bulky grass-types like Tangela and Gourgeist, giving Gogoat and Relicanth more room to work. Substitute is cool here because Stealth Rocks are already on Clefairy, and Marowak forces switches like nobody's business. Obviously Bonemerang is STAB. I chose a Jolly nature in order to outspeed Adamant Golem and possibly antilead.

Rapidash @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Will-O-Wisp
- Drill Run
- Morning Sun

This team is not only weak to fire types (especially Sub NP Ninetales) but also Steel types. Mawile in particular sets up on Gogoat, Vullaby, and Clefairy without much consequence. Rapidash remedies both of these weaknesses. It can come in on standard Sub Ninetales and Mawile with ease and take out both or force a switch. Drill Run is used to revenge kill Monferno which is also a big problem for this team.

LST wins! Not only that, but Rapidash was the actual last mon I used. Near perfect marks aside from forgetting to put Wild Charge on the set :v
Anyway, given how much the metagame has changed (see: cacturne) I'm going to leave this for a few days and start it up again once the meta has settled a little bit.
