I am putting this argument to rest. One billion lions cannot beat every single pokemon. To prove it, I have assembled a list of 21 pokemon that could beat all one billion lions ALL BY THEMSELVES.
First, let's declare the rules. This fight will take place on a perfectly flat planet the size and mass of earth completely devoid of all life forms except the pokemon and lions. How do the lions and pokemon breathe then? I don't know, let's not think about that. Half of the planet will be Rock, and the other half will be water, however the pokemon cannot be in this water. The lions do not have to worry about food and water, and cannot die of natural causes, however the pokemon do have to worry about that. The lions will not attack each other. The pokemon's abilities more or less cannot be derived from the pokedex. These rules are as heavily skewed in the lions favor as possible to prove that no matter how you slice it, these pokemon can beat all of the lions themselves.
First, we have the fliers. These pokemon are Charizard, Alakazam, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Volcarona, Tornadus, Thundurus, Reshiram, and Zekrom. These are the pokemon that can fly out of reach of the lions, and attack them with a renewable ranged attack, whether that be fire, lightning, psychic powers, or strong winds. The lions have no counterplay to this. And don't say lion ladder, that's dumb. With a food stockpile a billion strong, and the ability to crush anything before it gets close, there is nothing the lions can do to stop them.
Now we have Kyogre and Groudon. Kyogre can flood the entire world, drowning all lions, and Groudon can open up fissures beneath anything that gets close to it. The lions are not prepared to fight the planet.
Giratina, Hoopa, Solgaleo, and Lunala have the ability to travel through dimensions, which means that they can attack anywhere, at any time, and slowly pick off the lions one by one.
Marshadow can become your shadow. How will you fight your shadow?
If Eternatus can threaten an entire world of humans and pokemon, the lions stand no chance.
Dialga and Palkia control time and space. How are you supposed to fight something that can change the fundamental laws of your reality?
And lastly, we have Arceus. This is where any debate whatsoever stops. Arceus is god. Before the lions even blink, Arceus will banish them from this mortal world. You cannot argue this. The lions have no chance of winning, whatsoever.
