Showdown's Facebook page has been in need of a facelift for a while, and it's now ready! Our Facebook page has been fully updated with all the recent sim news, so be sure to give it a like if you want to keep up with PS-related happenings.

Other Metagame of the Month: March

The Other Metagame of the Month for the month of March is Hidden Type! Hidden Type is a format in which a Pokemon's Hidden Power type is actually added to its typing. For instance, if Charizard has the IVs for Hidden Power Electric, it becomes a Fire / Flying / Electric type. It's a fun metagame with tons of room for creativity, so head on over to PS to teambuild and ladder!

BLT Qualifiers

March is finally here and that means that we have the second set of qualifiers for the Best Leaderboarders Tournament! Be sure to send these users a PM on the simulator and give them a round of applause for their accomplishment, or drop by the thread and say congrats. You can also ask questions in the announcement thread if you're confused about anything. We hope to see even more of you qualify for the BLT come April!

Here in this thread, you're free to submit questions for a panel of Leaders and Administrators to answer, whether it's about PS!, Smogon, or Pokemon in some fashion. This time around, our panel consists of Okuu, Vacate, and verbatim! Enjoy!

Seasonal: Super Staff Bros.

In this month's seasonal, we introduce something that's one of its kind: Super Staff Bros.! It's a new metagame made by the staff that features each staff member's (and some ex-staff) custom Pokemon, including custom abilities, movesets, items, and a special signature move that contains some kind of unknown power or effect.

In addition, each Pokemon have very unique dialogue during switch-ins, phrases, and sometimes through use of signature moves. There are many more custom effects, all of which are waiting to be seen as you try out this awesome new format!

Featured Replays Updates

The Featured Replays page has finally been updated! This month's features include several nailbiting SPL matches, a Tier Shift tournament finals match in which Mega Heracross boasts its new boosts, and a fast-paced, high ranking Random Battle match between The Immortal and Amphinobite. Be sure to give them a watch - they'll have you on the edge of your seat and you might even pick up some useful tips along the way!

UU: No Scald

There's a new ladder on Showdown - UU (No Scald) - that features an Underused metagame without Scald, the 80BP Water-type move with a 30% chance to burn. This is the tier's experiment to gauge whether or not something should be done about the move, so be sure to ladder and offer your insight.

BLT Qualifiers update

The Best Leaderboarders Tournament is in its last month of qualifiers. Currently, TechSupportBreloom, jeran, and MiltankMilk are leading the race in points. If you have to qualify, you have around two weeks to rack up your points!
