Ability Shift

Kyurem now gets protean with unholy 130 offenses and much better bulk than greninja. Maybe a special set with Draco/Ice Beam/Focus Blast/Shadow Ball could work giving him very good coverage and STAB on every move, plus the fact that it could trade his weaknesses to fighting and rock into an immunity or resistance by using focus blast or Sball. Still has its cons like SR weakness and poor speed.

* There are now 0 unaware users :( Set up sweepers will dominate.
We are a kind of safe since Snorlax can beat all of the ones that aren't Anti-Imposter.
* Defiant Archeops!
Obv the best poke in the meta Probably a great Poke because it pretty much 2hkos every defensive Pokemon ever.

252 Atk Archeops Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Rotom-W: 163-193 (53.6 - 63.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252 Atk Archeops Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Rotom-W: 244-288 (80.2 - 94.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
GG Rotom

+1 252 Atk Archeops Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Venusaur: 476-564 (130.7 - 154.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

GG Mega Venusaur

0 SpA Archeops Heat Wave vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Skarmory: 148-176 (44.3 - 52.6%) -- 80.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

GG Skarmory

252 Atk Archeops Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 252-297 (35.7 - 42.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

+1 252 Atk Archeops Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 376-444 (53.4 - 63%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I guess you could take a chance on Chansey...

+1 252 Atk Archeops Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Omastar: 284-336 (100.7 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

PLUME REPRESENT

Also its crazy fast (110 base speed :o)

Basically Archeops is a real deal threat. Also they are required to be nicknames "Arhops" for obvious reasons. :)

Since practically all of the threatening sweepers have been mentioned, here are the calcs, since everybody uses calcs to make team choices ofc:

Greninja
252+ Atk Life Orb Pure Power Greninja Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mandibuzz: 263-309 (62 - 72.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Life Orb Pure Power Greninja Waterfall vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Skarmory: 173-204 (51.7 - 61%) -- 96.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Yeah...when a physical attacker can 2HKO two of the biggest physical walls, something is wrong. (adaptability crawdaunt is irrelevant)

Feraligatr

Feraligatr looks more threatening with its new ability: tough claws. Basically it has turned into one of the more powerful rain sweepers.

252+ Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Feraligatr Waterfall vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Skarmory in Rain: 183-216 (54.7 - 64.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Feraligatr Waterfall vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mandibuzz in Rain: 220-259 (51.8 - 61%) -- 94.9% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Remember that both these walls have completely useless abilities (blaze, overgrow, white smoke, etc.)

But first you have to get dusclops out of the way before you sweep with either of these.

Sap Sipper Garchomp which mega evolves to Sand Rush Mega Chomp o.O
Excadrill can set up sand, which is good since it's p. decent anyway

252 Atk Life Orb Pure Power Greninja Night Slash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Fur Coat Gourgeist-Super: 152-179 (40.6 - 47.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

I can already see that gourgeist will be one of my favorite mons in this meta.

There's also:
  • PerishTrap Meloetta, which works well with meloetta's excellent special bulk.
  • Thick Fat Kyurem-b, making it the only dragon to resist ice, and giving it a resistance to BoltBeam.
  • Shadow Tag Skymin. Need I say more?
  • Protean Deoxy-S. Did you think Protean Greninja was scary? This is basically standard Greninja, except with the ability to go mixed by virtue of needing to invest so little in speed to keep up, and it is, of course, much faster.

Thoughts:
1. Shadow Tag Eviolite Chansey beats most special sweepers.
2. Multiscale Salamence is a more offensive version of Multiscale Dragonite in standard OU
3. Specs Exploud no longer has a problem spamming Boomburst thanks to Speed Boost. Just get rid of ghosts first.
4. Electivire now has the niche of being the best Moxie abuser.
5. Purugly is now a better Persian, though it probably won't see much use over the other abusers of Parental Bond.
6. Muk and Dragalge get Prankster Haze (Muk needs verification as Poison Touch is a hidden ability and Haze is a Gen V egg move)
7. Teravolt Noivern, Medicham and Gardevoir replace the old mold breakers (there's also Musharna and Beeheyem but they suck).
8. Victory Star Tyranitar and Mega Aerodactyl appreciate less stone misses.

Trolls:
1. Turboblaze Slaking and Sniper Regigigas Banned.
2. Flare boost on fire types only.
3. Levitate on grass types only.
4. None of the pokemon that gained Contrary have a way to abuse it.
5. Everything that gets Marvel Scale has at least one 4x weakness (unless you use Nosepass lol).
6. No Guard becomes Normalise (RIP Doublade, can't check ghosts with shadow sneak anymore)
7. Previous users of Speed Boost now have Stall... oh the irony
8. It's probably worth unbanning Kyogre now that it gets Drought (LOL)

Thoughts:
5. Purugly is now a better Persian, though it probably won't see much use over the other abusers of Parental Bond.
Purugly actually has a serious niche in that it is the only pokemon with access to both parental bond and super fang other than smeargle, and has much better speed than smeargle. Alongside PB foul play, and taunt access, I can see it being a decent threat.

More stuffz:

Natural Cure Cofagrigus is gonna be tough to take down

[more edits coming for ideas]

but seriously how do you beat this:

Venomoth @ Black Sludge
Ability: Simple
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Spd / 8 SDef (I thinks that's the right evs, can't check right now)
- Quiver Dance
- Baton Pass
- Sleep Powder
- Bug Buzz / Giga Drain

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: No Guard
- Thunder
- Blizzard
- Hydro Pump
- Idk? Psyshock maybe?

Just some observations
- Speed Boost Abomasnow
- Flame Body Mega Aggron sounds like a scary physical wall
- Flare Boost is now distributed exclusively to Fire-Types that can't be burned XD
- Pixilate Linoone with Belly Drum Extremespeed
- Poison Heal Klinklang
- Gale Wings Furfrou (it learns zero flying types moves except HP flying)
- Assuming Zen Mode goes back to A then Adaptability Darmanitan!
- Tinted Lens Mega-Venasaur

Adapt darn is gonna be damn scary.

252 Atk Choice Band Adaptability Darmanitan Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Rotom-W: 196-231 (64.4 - 75.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

That is unholy.

Smeargle @ Focus Sash
Ability: Parental Bond
EVs: 252 Hp / 4 Def / 252 Spe
-Spore
-Quiver Dance/Super Fang
-Metal Burst
-Baton Pass/Seismic Toss

Since metal burst does 1.5x the damage you take, and parental bond doubles that with no damage reduction, smeargle can do 3x the damage he takes (up to about 900 damage)... Anything slower than you can get spored, anything faster can get ohkod with metal burst if they deal damage to you. Quiver Pass would be good to hide your metal burst until later in the game when you need to revenge kill something, or you could abuse the 2hko of super fang seismic toss if you wanted to :o

New cool wall breaker: specs Glaceon. Now that it has snow warning it can smash everything with blizzard. Also, sturdy Tyrantrum, perhaps to let him setup a DD easier.
MegaHera is completely nerfed with slow start :(
Also noticed that accelgor gets storm drain for an immunity and SpA boost

metal burst works with pbond?

also uh adept darm is cool but honestly cb still dies to like every scarfer ever and it doesn't even fix darmanitan's biggest issue of pathetic bulk

there's still hidden potential in this meta: for example you have snow warning glaceon now who gets to spam nevermiss blizzards off 130 spa.

also uh yeah is anyone still on the free yveltal thing? i think it might be possible given that it has a debilitating ability in defeatist, has an SR weakness, and is something like archeops in standard (though a lot bulkier)

is the added bulk + oblivion wing worth keeping yveltal banned? because without dark aura his dark moves hit for 75% damage than usual. i think it's really worth a test...

Imposter copies all the opponent's stats besides HP. And since Snorlax has an incredible HP stats, chances are you'll win against anything 1v1, given that you will almost certainly have better stats than your opponent.

A few things.

None of those fire mons can abuse flare boost, even the ones you bolded. Second, can we actually start with Darmanitan-Zen? It sounds great in practice but now that Zen mode is gone, dunno if it's usable (much like Melo-P).

Anyway, Milotic had competitive in regular meta (just checked in teambuilder), so now it gets compoundeyes, along with offensive stuff like Blizzard and Hydro Pump, and support means like Dtail and Toxic. Looking good.

Though we cant use it Zen is legit so I just put it in anyway, and the fire types can switch in on fire and then basically destroy souls if scarfed. Basically extra immunities are always good imo.

Entei w/ assault vest/life orb/choice band
adamant
evs
Sacred fire
Extreme speed
Bulldoze/Stone Edge
Iron Head/Iron tail/Stone edge
Protean extreme speed is fun. Strongest Espeed in the game

Here are some thing that caught my eye on an overview. I'll try posting sets later.

+ Adaptability

Best Revenge Killer in the tier, which can put holes even in walls.

+ Arena Trap

Whiscash gets Dragon Dance. Switching into a Scarfed Electric move or into a mon which it counters could very well spell doom to the opponent.

+ Drought

shhhh

+ Eviolite + Fur Coat

252 Atk Life Orb Weavile Night Slash vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Eviolite Fur Coat Dusclops: 64-75 (22.5 - 26.4%) -- 14.8% chance to 4HKO

+ Protean

Protean ExtremeSpeed is great. Entei also gets a variety of other moves to use. A defensive spread with Protean sounds deadly.

+ Imposter

Oh Dear Lord! Rather than the usual Scarf, if you switch in on something that has set up and manage to win the speed tie and take it out, you're pretty much unstoppable.. except for Dragagle.

+ Intimidate

Intimidate is always great on a Defensive mon. Plus it also gets WoW.

+ Magic guard
Hm.. not bad I guess.

+ Moxie
Has a good Attack. Can work very well with a Scarf.

+ Natural Cure
Once again, a blessing of an ability for a Defensive mon.

+ Parental Bond
You know how broken Parental Bond is. Put that next to Quiver Dance and you've broken it more!

+ Prankster
This thing could have a huge niche in this Meta, much like Thundurus in Alphabet Cup. Prankster Haze is the game-breaker. But it also gets Prankster Acid Armor, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Venom Drench etc.,

+ Prankster
Prankster Substitute + Bulk Up? Yes please! Also has amazing coverage with Drain Punch and Sucker Punch. Prankster Substitute makes sure that it is never burned. Unfortunately, Haze ignores substitute and once again, Dragagle counters this.

+ Pure Power
You know what this is capable of doing. But one more important thing: Banded Pure Power U-Turn hurts like a bitch.

+ Rough Skin
Not essentially better than Sturdy, but viable on a Defensive mon, especially something as bulky as Steelix.

+ Shadow Tag
Very much ban-worthy. It can basically switch into any Special Attack with its phenomenal bulk and take them down with Toxic+Soft Boiled+Seismic Toss.

+ Simple
Simple Quiver Dance sounds like something from Balanced Hackmons, but here it is, entirely legit.

+ Sniper
Anything other than Slow Start and this thing is a huge threat.

+ Speed Boost
Access to Swords Dance and a decent 55 Base Speed makes it completely viable in this tier.

+ Wonder Guard

Best Stealth Rocker and Spinner in the tier, imo. Also gets Shell Smash, but its abysmal speed is a bit disappointing. But if you play it right and scout a bit, you can win quite comfortably with Wonder Guard. It also gets Iron Defense and Amnesia, which come in handy.

Wait what? I thought Flare Boost was just like guts, that it only grants you a SpA boost if you are burned, which fire types can't be. I don't think it's an immunity, is it ?

Also I think Flower Gift is hardcoded to work only for Cherrim, so yeah (a friend of mine tested it out on Terrakion in Ability Exchange once). That being said yeah, Whiscash is pretty scary.
