    Yeah for the ability if the pokemon can evolve in 4th gen then go by PID but if not just make a save state before capture then check the ability. If it's the wrong one then load the state, faint it, and encounter it again later. The ability can actually change in future encounters. No need for the save state if you can find out the ability in battle though.

    Waiting in WiFi in 4th gen.

    Yeah in XD it's weird. My Togepi had Hustle ability even though it would be Serene Grace in any other 3rd gen game. But I evolved it in 4th gen so it changed to Serene Grace.

    You wanted the Zapdos right? I'll be on WiFi in 4th gen in a minute or two.

    Yeah I transferred all my XD mons already. For ability use standard 4th gen ability determination (last bit of PID) and evolve it in 4th gen. You have to anyways for Togekiss.
