  • oh boy I love discussing favorites :]

Overall just as a character itself I LOVE Pikachu.
It's so damn cute and its my main in Brawl. It's just too adorably powerful. AND it has Light Ball. I also love Dragonite though. It looks so friendly and shit but underneath that disguise lies a Monster ;]

Competitively I'm in love with Dragonite. His sheer vastness and niches he can fulfill is honestly god-like. Take in his new found ability and Dragonite really is set for the next few generations to come.
Another one that I like competitively would have to be Heracross. The sheer power that it brings to the table is honestly ridiculous and I've been able to dismantle teams with this beetle.
Finally Terrakion comes to mind. He has never been a failure for me on any team. This guy...is just too strong.
    It'l forever be a mystery...

By the way, I saw your post in the introduction thread. You basically summed up everything I wanted to say about the group in that one paragraph. Thanks for helping me out with this whole Organization thing.
Yeah, you're right about that. The real question is what some of those pokemon in the background are. Seriously, I can only make out so many pokemon.
Oh yeah, that picture. That was on one of the Smog articles, wasn't it?
I could see that working quite well. The only problem I have is that it's kind of sinister, and I would like our group to have more of a warm, inviting feeling. You know what I mean? But if it garners support, then I would certainly use it. It's a fitting picture.
Sorry about that. Rain is really annoying to deal with, I know. If I were you, I'd rest for a bit and cool off; battling constantly wears on your brain and makes you more likely to make dumb decisions. Try out the team again later on and see how you do. Or if you want, we could battle and see if we work out a solution.
Forgot to mention, I like your new avatar. Guess you really like Sceptile, huh?

By the way, whatever happened to Palmer? I know that you're really fond of him, since you use his image for just about everything.
I just posted a short introduction thread for people we invited. I'll probably expand it later with the stuff you mentioned, but I sort of touched on that.

Maybe one of our first discussions should be on what our group image is; we do have control over that.
Hmm... I don't have a whole lot of good ideas, but what bout something like Smogon Creators Organization? You know, since we'll probably try and create new teams and ideas for battling overall. Fairly interesting while being generic enough to suit a lot of people. What do you think?
Well, Bald Accountant got back to me. Can't change a name of a group once it's made. Bummer...
    So, any new ideas?
Hey, what if I asked someone who's in charge of a social group if you can change the name after making it? Like Bald Accountant?
Well, I don't think the focus of the entire group should be primarily RMTs. Those could be projects we work on later, but I think the group should mostly be just discussion over competitive stuff, like good underrated threats we know about or something like that.

I'm somewhat considering creating a group and seeing how much control I have over it's name and stuff after making it. If we could change the name after making it, we could have the others suggest something.
Hmm... Well certainly not pokepals... yikes...
Collaborations and stuff sounds a little bland, I think. I'd rather have it sound a little more interesting from the outside. I don't know what to call it, really. I do like those groups that are like organizations, though, so maybe something along those lines...?
I think I can handle it on my own. And no, I really don't think you need Mod permission. Social Groups are kind of separate from the rest of Smogon, and what they're like is typically up to the creator. You know what I mean? I doubt Mods really care.

Also, I have no idea what to call it. Do you have any ideas?
    hahaha yea right boyyy
Choice Scarf Mence vs Multiscale Dragonite. Outta here ;]
Oh. I guess you didn't read the discussion I had with FalseSense.
Thing with Landy was that it just wasn't pulling its weight and wasn't giving me the results I expected.
I thought Landy really could easily switch in and out causing hell and stuff...guess that was BW1.
Recently I've tried Dnite on this 3-minute made Drizzle team (Politoed with Perish Song and Encore=Best). Dnite literally dismantled teams on its own as it could switch in thanks to Encore and Perish song. It would then Dance at least 3 times and flip off any Steel Types except stuff like Skarmory which I ran into like once. But yeah. Dnite was actually my first favorite Pokemon :] Then came Lucario and Reuniclus and then I believe Landy...but the cycle stopped at Dnite :D
Salamence is good no doubt about that but uh...
I mean. Dragonite is the Alpha Dragon. Leading the Dragon Crew since Gen I baby ;]
He literally is almost perfect. Great all around stats(ignore speed). Great boosting move in DD. An amazing movepool(He has everything from Physical to Special, ExtremeSpeed to Dragon Tail). Sexy sprite. Diversity(not going to lie, his diversity wayyyy outshines Salamences'). Multiscale. Easily fits into many roles and can really fit very well into any playstyle from HO to Stall. Dragonite=King Chain=The Best.
Personally I prefer Dragonite over Salamence, mostly because I prefer pokemon that can take hits and dish them back out, but there's no denying how good Salamence is. Heck, that's why we put him on Dark Miracle, right?
true true...guess that was my mistake haha
still i went up pretty high with him :D
    Hey man !
I've noticed your Reuniclus team and honestly Kudos !
Last year I made a really successful Reuniclus team as well. It helped me peak to like 1900s.
I was going to RMT but... whatever haha
Just wanted to say your team looks solid :)
I'm sure you're aware but physical priority, protect and general TR stalling is Reuniclus' bane :/
Thanks. I realize that the pokemon I suggested were rather mediocre overall and have their own fair share of issues. I thought that Lanturn might be a good fit since it's one of the few things that can actually stop Thundurus-T, as well as taking care of a good few threats to your team. Of course, balanced teams like yours tend to be very dependent on each members individual qualities, so that small changes to the team may mess up the synergy more than it helps it. Larger scale changes can address the holes opened up by new members by making changes to counteract those problems, like in Remedy's rate.

Sorry if I got off on a rant there. Hope your team works out! Good Luck!
Congratulations! Hope his changes work out well! Considering how used to Rotom-W you are, it should be pretty easy for you to pick up and use. You think you'll be alright without Spikes?

And by the way, what did you think of my (rather mediocre) suggestion?
