I think you should definitely use Protect, incase you ever find yourself up against something about to explode then you've got some line of defense. It could even help you set up explosion too, or maybe even stall with Pressure.

He was pretty cool, and he'll probably be back since he's probably the most "well-known" battler. I'm hoping he'll be back. And was a pretty decent announcer at the last events (atleast from what I remember at Philly).

About Lugia, it's actually pretty good at blocking Kyogre, especially CM Lugia paired with Groudon. BlueCookies used them both and completely dominated my Kyogre, if you're looking for a good counter that works well as an all-around spot I'd go with Lugia. Nice post too, drcossack, I haven't...
