SM OU Scarf Pelipper RAIN OFFENSE (1800+ Ladder & updated)

Intro: The idea was to build a new rain team without the standard Koko + Hawlucha core. Here's what I ended up with. Updated the team with latest version and better analysis. First look at the team: Version 1 Version 2 Version 3 & 4 Detail analysis: RAIN SETTER...

SM OU QD Volcarona + Endeavor M-Diancie

I got to around 1750s with this team, not quite high ladder yet but I'm a bad player so not gonna complain. I start the team with QD Volc and Endeavor M-Diancie since these two have nice synergy together. Volc takes Steel and Grass that annoys Diancie while M-Diancie can weaken or eliminate...

    Pokémon Tapu Fini

Bulky Steel is a good partner for Tapu Fini. Try SpDef M-Scizor or Celesteela + Marowak-A.

    Resource Ultra SM OU Bazaar

Aegis got banned. Time to build new teams. Here the team I used to 1600s on pre-bank, and it also does decently on post-bank too. The team features some unusual and cool sets. Rockium-Z Garchomp can either choose to blast a 180-BP Stone Edge or get +1 Speed & abuse Sand Veil. Jolly Marowak-A is...

    Pokémon Tapu Fini

Well, Timid Fini is a thing. 252HP/252Spe+ Fini this gen is similar to 252HP/252Spe+ Heatran last gen: It still checks what it needs to checks due to typing + natural bulk, still can stallbreak with Taunt plus the speed gives it the edge vs slower wallbreakers (Mamoswine, Modest Hydreigon, Tapu...

    Pokémon Tapu Fini

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but defensive Fini MUST run at least 8 Speed EV so that it can out-speed Jolly Marowak-A, which is extremely threatening to balanced or stall build that lacks dedicated switch-in (Mandibuzz, Alomomola, Gliscor)

    Metagame Metagame Discussion Thread

Wow, that's a really impressive analysis from you. I noticed the sample team is kinda weak to strong Ice attacker (CB Weavile, LO/Specs Kyurem-B and LO Mamoswine can ez 6-0). However those mons aren't exactly common right now. Anyways, I'm looking forward to your next builds to improve this.

    Pokémon Alola Marowak

The point of using Marowak-A for wallbreaking or stallbreaking is role compression: no other single mon can stop Volt Switching, counter fast Electric and beat Stall and wallbreak altogether. Marowak doesn't need much HP investment to counter fast electric, while full attack plus some speed...

    On The Radar

Your argument makes sense. Its true that with Aegislash around, Faires are very restricted, thus Zygarde has the chance to run rampant. However, something with 216/121/95 bulk, great STAB in term of Thousand Arrows and priority Extreme Speed, is still too much for OU to handle. Banning it was a...

    Resource USM OU Speed Tiers

Modest Scarf Xurkitree reaches 397.5, just enough to outspeed base 130s (Tapu Koko). Probably worth consider over Timid as M-Lopunny & M-Manectric (base 135 speed) is gone and the next significant speed mark is base 150s, which you can't reach even with Timid anyways.
