I think Americans should feel smug, anyway. Did anyone see that Japan has instituted mandatory waist measurements? If your waist is too big, your doctor makes you diet, exercise, etc. Imagine if they tried that in America.

Yeah, that's the way it was in CO, too. That's why I'm surprised by McCain's platform. Esp. as the corn lobby is mostly ADM, which counts as Big Business (which also loves the right wing). Of course, Obama's gonna win, so there's no use complaining about it.

The thing about McCain is that (besides the offshore drilling nonsense), his energy proposals make sense; he wants to stop corn ethanol subsidies and drop the sugar tariff, allowing the US to import cheap, efficient Brazillian sugar cane ethanol. I don't support him on anything except for that...

I absolutely loved high school. My lacrosse girls were my best friends, I have an amazing bf (a year and a half!), and I got into my top school. Now I get to look forward to college -- dorm shopping! Also, to worried freshmen, know that it gets better.
