That isn't the difference. I already explained the difference. Now, when you are battling to raise EVs, the change IMMEDIATELY shows, without having to deposit the Pokemon or lvl it up first.
Well, keep in mind that the stats from EVs are still dispersed via a percentage. i.e., at lvl 25 if you had a Pokemon that had 252/4/252 then that Pokemon would have 25% of those only, or at lvl 35...35% of those...
Ok, I will try to clear things up. I didn't know that is why you lvl'd the Pokes so that is cool. But, in 4th gen, one had to lvl up a Pokemon that was trained from battling to show the EV improvements. So, many people thought they had to lvl up a Pokemon in all cases to show all EV improvements. Well, 5th gen did away with that. Now, after every battle if you got 4 total EV points in a stat it will immediately show now, you wouldn't need to lvl up for it to show...hopefully that makes more sense.

I am going to ask you for a huge favor though. About those pokemons I gave you: I have lost my soulsilver and I no longer have access to any of my previous pokemon. I am trying to salvage some of them from people whom i traded to. I am wondering if you can be a nice person and make a copy of each of them, pokeshift them to your black/white and trade them to me for derps. It would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, fair enough, the way you described is the only possible way that one can fully EV a Pokemon within a level, and as fast as you did, so thanks for the quick response. But, for your own future reference. You don't need to level up the Pokemon. B/W Pokemon EV's show the level you are training them on. Unlike Gen 4
