Gen V RNG Breeding Guide (gone again)

Son of a bitch. I'm not sure if this is known already, but I found out the hard way: when breeding a genderless (Porygon in my case) Pokemon with Ditto, the Ditto counts as the FEMALE parent when passing down IVs. At least it did for what I was breeding for. I'm not sure if there are variables...

    Pokémon Black/White in-game discussion

After playing 750+ hours of Pearl, I was burned out on Pokemon for a while, until I picked up Black over a week ago. I have to say, it's pretty damn good. I'm really diggin' a lot of the new Pokemon, with my favorites being Scrafty, Timburr, Mienfoo and Elgyem (Reminds me of the "Okay" reaction...

US Arceus at Toys 'R Us/Australian Arceus at EB Games - Both going on now

If all goes as planned, I should be driving 40 miles to download the god of all Pokemon from a children's toy store tomorrow.

Shaymin Event coming to the US

Just got mine today. I had to travel 40 miles to the nearest Toys 'R' Us, so I won't stop SRing until I get one that's worthy enough. Hell, until just the other day, I was STILL SRing for that old Gamestop Deoxys.

Pokemon Platinum - The definitive thread: Mach 3 (Competitive Discussion)

Delibird gets Seed Bomb? Yes! Quagsire, Gastrodon and Whiscash can wall him no longer!

Look At What I Chained - Mark II

Oy! I just caught 11 shiny Lickitungs, and they're all useless. As in couldn't-even-trade-these-things-on-GameFAQs useless.

    GameStop Deoxys

I just got my Deoxys today. What's cool was that I didn't even have to get out of my car to reach the signal. Not sure what nature I'll be going for, yet.

A Pokemon event at a store that isn't at least 40 miles away from where I live? Hot diggity damn!

    Team Making Block

What I usually do is base my team around one Pokemon - my last team was built for DD Dragonite. I had a Rapid Spinner, a Scarfchomp counter, and an Ice Shard absorber (Weezing, who also liked to WoW/Fire Blast Donphan, Weavile and Mamoswine), while making sure that I didn't have any huge type...

Please play D/P on January 12th.

http://veekun.com/dex/moves/draco%20meteor According to this, Draco Meteor in Japanese is (Not sure if this'll work on Smogon) りゅうせいぐん. Which matches up to that Japanese screenshot. So it's Dragonite using Draco Meteor... For some reason.

Please play D/P on January 12th.

Well, if it's something downloadable through WiFi (And I can't see how it could be downloaded any other way), then there are three possibilities of how to download it, unless I'm mistaken: 1) Through the GTS. 2) When connecting to look for a battle/trade. 3) WiFi Mystery Gift. WiFi Mystery...

    Low Ubers

Oh, ass. I voted for Deoxys-D because I wasn't paying attention and thought it said Deoxys-S. Despite that, I still think that Deoxys-S would be too good for OU, mainly due to his huge movepool. But I wouldn't be upset if he was demoted; I'd finally have a reason to soft-reset for a good Deoxys...

What Blissey Moveset you use the most

I haven't used Blissey in ages, but the one I used last was CounterBliss. It actually took down a few things like Swampert, Steelix and Metagross (Yes, I stayed in against Metagross).

Is there a pokemon on your team that makes your team different?

I use Hitmontop on pretty much every team I make. I love the little guy, he never fails to spin away the rocks that make my Dragonite cry. I've used a bunch of different EV spreads and movesets for him - bulky Bulk Up attacker, bulky supporter/spinner, Choice Bander, Agility sweeper...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 9

Alright, thanks! TBH, I was also thinking that 80 base Speed should be the "Cut-off limit" for Trick Room, but I wanted a second opinion. Shiftry's frail, but I think my other team members should be able to take care of slower, hard-hitting beasts like Rhyperior, Machamp and Ursaring.

Is there a general consensus on what base speed is too "Fast" for Trick Room? I'm currently making a Trick Room Doubles team, and I was looking at Shiftry (This isn't for ubers BTW) because he can Fake Out and Explode. The problem is that his base Speed is 80. Do you think that would be too fast?
