Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish / Relaxed Nature
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Toxic
- Curse / Scald

Even with its average stats, Quagsire is a great wall in the PU metagame. Its good defensive typing, great ability in Unaware, and reliable recovery make it a solid option on balance teams and a staple for stall teams. Throughout the match, it can be used to switch in on various physical Pokemon such as Aggron and Scyther while being able to put a stop to setup Pokemon like Lycanroc. It can even use these Pokemon as its own setup bait if running Curse or fire off a status-inflicting move if running its more supportive set with Scald. However, Quagsire has to watch out against certain Pokemon that it typically checks like Togedemaru, which might carry Toxic, or Manectric, which might carry Hidden Power Grass. On stall teams, Quagsire should be put alongside the other stall staple, Audino, forming a solid defensive core that can switch in on both physical and special foes. Otherwise, Pokemon that can serve as Grass checks such as Dodrio and Scyther also make for good teammates.

Otherwise, keep as-is) which can might carry Hidden Power Grass.
