Well, here I am Again with a weekly report, this is the image of the previous week. Sorry for not posting before, too busy with medical scheduling, as well as making the demonic bi*** in ace attorney having a meltdown; the pink one btw, not the parasol one... Ups, I got off-topic, so back to the table.

Notes of the very limited sample of week 3. Remember that with such low sample the data must be taken with a grain of Salt
  • Arceus-Ghost became almost as, if not more popular than Fairy. The reasoning seems to be that almost no pokémon can properly deal with the Simple No retreat set, not even the Mighty MMX. Expect more of those answers soon, like Salt Cure M-Audino or Spooky Plate Blissey (We and MTB used either of those to check said pokémon in our match. It was oddly effective).
  • Eternatus became quite popular lately, with also amazing numbers (8/2 record). If I had to guess it's because Is just a good pokémon, with great Stat distribution and versatility, with a Mortal spin Poison Immunity and Outspeeding Arceus. The unexpected rising star of the week is Marshadow, probably because it's a ghost type who can outspeed Arceus-Ghost, although it might be an one-hit-wonder.
    • That former might explain why people is dropping Arceus-Poison, because people want to use a poison type AND an Arceus Ghost or Fairy. In general defensive Ground Types outside M-Steelix are almost completely absent due to their poor matchup against Kyogre-Primal mostly, but also Ho-Oh, Yveltal and Kartana.
  • Chansey had become rarer as lead. Main reason being that people is catching the strategy and leading with mons with knock off like Primal-Kyogre or Steelix-Mega. Still the most common though, but we're seeing actual variety on the lead slot.
Not that it matters for the topic, but now I have in-action gameplay of why Mortal spin should be banned, because indeed it makes semi-stall and stall opressive, with permanent chip damage almost no pokémon can deal with, and the few who can have Immunity are defeated with salt cure... Well, MTB has it. Not salty towards the Australian, just towards the playstyle.
That would be it I guess.

Edit: Apparently there were Zacian-Crowned. 2 In fact, although 1 was an accident... Which also demands heavy editing.

PS: I think It would be Appropiate to have links to the previous weeks. Here it is for Week 1 and this for week 2.

PPS:  I forgot Polywhril's battles. I'll go to fix that... And Ivar's as well.

I'm sure you did not expected a report of week 4 so early, but due to the lack of people asking for extensions i don't have to wait until thursday for the data to be completed, which feels so nice because it makes me less prone to miss something. Anyways, the numbers are the following.

Conclussions of this week's matches.
  • Some of the trends of the last week in terms of usage got reinforced. Ghost finally surpassed Fairy as the most used Arceus (Only by 1), While Eternatus is now top 8 usage and MMX is still falling in usage.
  • Some of the weird stuff going on in the previous week got reverted, like the absense of ground outside M-Steelix, as well as people using lead Chansey less and the weird fall of the flying types and Arceus-Poison; the rise of Arceus-Poison did not caused a decline on Eternatus oddly enough.
    • Some of those changes might be because week 3 was losers only, which have a lesser grasp on competitive BH.
  • In terms of decline the big ones are Miraidon, Necrozma-Ultra, Giratina-Altered, MMX and Kyogre-Primal. The first three can be easily explained with Eternatus's rise, giving them competition; in fact Miraidon has now less usage than Eternatus. MMX is mostly people trying to use alternate wallbreakers on its place to deal with the fact people is prepared for it. The last one seems to be more due to how vulnerable it is to salt cure and mortal spin, moves who had become popular lately.
  • In the rise there's a trend of more Chansey and Blissey, as well as the usage of Arceus skyrocketing to an all-time high of 92%. Kyurem is also becoming more popular, at least the white form. The biggest rising star right now is Celesteela, Probably because it's almost impossible to break with its amazing defensive typing as I can testify on my game 2.
    • If I had to guess those, it's because the meta wants more resiliance towards Setup sweepers and again, week 3 was loser's bracket aka the ones with average less experience in teambuilding. Also the meta doesn't seem fit against wallbreakers with Ice STAB apparently outside Primal Kyogre.
  • Lastly, winrates. The pokémon who just had a bad week are Arceus-Fairy, Kartana, Zacian, Yveltal, Dialga-Origin and Specially Steelix-Mega. On the other hand, Arceus-Poison, Diancie, Registeel, Deoxys-Attack, Celesteela and Swampert-Mega had good numbers; mostly defensive non-passive pokémon.
    • If I had to guess it's mostly because Salt Cure, Mortal spin and a rise of setup sweepers and stall/semistall. If your pokémon deals with them well or fits in the archetype the numbers are quite good, but if they don't and give free entry they don't work.
      • Honorable mention to Arceus-Ghost and MMX also having good performance, which are the main offensive threats of the week with above average winrate.
That's all for this week. I'm genuinely curious on how this tournament will end, although if I had to bet it would be to Quantum Tesseract. Also, down there I have a link for the past weeks so you can compare data properly.

Week 3
Farewell and I wish you luck to all that are still In the tournament... unless you don't even say you won't participate. That's rude :puff:.

PS: "Congelao" means "Congelado/Frozen" in Chilean spanish. Is a children song from a show millions on my country saw as kids, including me. I decided to explain it because I know it would be too obscure for someone outside my country.

Finally, someone posted something here. I though that I got banned by my overly excited nature on internet, and therefore I wouldn't be able to see any new text, similar to what YouTube does (I know because I've been banned from certain channels for not being careful with my commentary).

Btw, Would be mortal spin be allowed in week 6 in case it gets banned? Because Afaik the suspect test ends this sunday, but I'm not sure, there's no clear end date afaik.
