Roles that spread false information are okay as long as they are easily discovered. For example, the flavor faker in Lord of the Flies was not broken, because as soon as someone made suspicious by it died, the player who had recieved the fake flavor message would instantly be able to tell that the fake flavor and the role PM flavor didn't match up. However, if there were a similar flavor faker role that could have its fake message customized by the user, that would likely be broken. The fake flavor could be made to match up with the role PM flavor of the user being made suspicious, or have flavor generic enough that it could apply to anyone. In that case, it would be very difficult to separate real flavor messages from fake ones. Overall, fake results that are easily found to be fake are okay, but ones that can pass as real for a long time are not.
