Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

Deoxys-Defense is not allowed to learn Agility on Pokemon Showdown, even though it clearly learns the move in its other forms and can change forms within the games.

That explains it. I accidentally deleted Showdown from my history when I was trying to bookmark it. *Facepalms*

But thanks though.

The Backup/Restore button literally does nothing. @_@

It MIGHT be caused by this bug that I posted earlier, but I'm not sure:
I was making a new team in text mode and I copy-pasted a set that had a typo in it: instead of "Shedinja @ Lum Berry" it had "Shedinja@lum berry" with no spaces before and after the @. This caused Showdown to immediately send me back into the team list, disallowing me from ever opening the team again. The button is still there, but it doesn't do anything.

Another one of my teams works fine but refuses to enter text mode. I have no idea why this happens.

clonewang sent out Forretress!
Turn 11
Salamence used Fire Blast!
It's super effective! The foe's Forretress held on thanks to Sturdy!
The foe's Forretress lost 100% of its health!
The foe's Forretress held up its Red Card against the foe's Forretress!
The foe's Forretress used Stealth Rock!
Pointed stones float in the air around your team!
Turn 12
Breloom used Spore!
The foe's Forretress fell asleep!
The foe's Forretress is fast asleep.

There is some incorrect text on turn 11 when Forretress used its red card.

Yes, Diatom. We already know about that.

Just as a general rule for everyone... please check the known bugs post before posting a bug. However, some things aren't listed there. So either search the thread, or use Ctrl + F. Because reporting the same bug over and over isn't necessary.

Sweet Jesus

Neal and Jack and me, absent lovers...
Ok so during th bw1 era, I used a resttalk kangaskhan set with early bird that worked great (in NU). Lately, I tried it out on PS, and although it's still doing great work for me, I often end up looking stupid because early bird seems to wreck sleep mechanics. First off, when I use rest, I sleep for 2 turns as if I had no ability. Early bird works when put to sleep by an opponent but rest seems to be locked in it's 2 sleep turns ignoring the ability. Second weird thing, when I switch out with my sleeping kangaskhan (who used rest) the sleep turns seem not to be reset and I end up using sleep talk when I wake up.

EDIT: I'm not quite sure, but I think I always wake up on first turn after switching out after rest, even if I didn't sleep one turn before switching.

Ok so I try to start an LC battle and I get this:

This has happened to me everytime I've tried to battle today (but I can get on the Teambuilder).
This sort of sucks, because the opponent can kick for inactivity, but, it does send a random todo link to some Pokemon Music.

What browser?

Thunder never hits through protect in rain. I truly mean NEVER, it's not like "oh you are so unlucky". That's a bug, right?

I think Mummy interacts incorrectly with Moxie. I know that there's some weirdness there in the first place ("If a Pokémon with Moxie knocks this Pokémon out, the former's ability will change without taking effect") but in this scenario, Gyarados gets Mummy from Cofagrius on turn 6, Salamence gets it from Gyarados on turn 8, (taking 2 hits from Outrage to KO Gyara) and is recalled. Later on turn 18, Salamence gets a boost from Moxie even though its ability was displayed in the tool-tip as Mummy. You can see on turn 9 that Salamence kills Gyarados without getting the Moxie boost as I would have expected.

Whatever happened, I'm pretty sure that something went wrong. The log:

Thunder never hits through protect in rain. I truly mean NEVER, it's not like "oh you are so unlucky". That's a bug, right?
According to Veekun Thunder has a chance to break through protect and detect during rain, so it is not a bug.

EDIT: Wrong again, listen to Marty D

That's only in Generation 4. In Generation 5, Thunder doesn't hit through Protect ever.

Thunder and Blizzard hitting through Protect / Detect during Rain Dance and Hail, respectively, was a Diamond and Pearl bug that was fixed in Platinum. So, unless PS! will support multiple versions of Gen 4, this will never be possible. Also, Veekun's description for Thunder was never updated.

@DAD TIME: Mummy only lasts until the Pokemon switches out, so it's not a bug.
Okay, that makes sense (wasn't exactly sure how it worked cause it's not something you come across every day in OU). The tooltip still gave "Mummy" for Salamence's ability even after switching out, though, surely that's wrong?

In a Random Matchup, I was using a Celebi with HP Fire. The opponent played an Imposter Ditto who started using HP Dark. My only assumption is that the Ditto keeps its original 31/31/31/31/31/31 EV spread and doesn't copy the Celebi's, keeping it HP Dark. Is that normally correct or an error?

That is 100% correct. The Ditto keeps its own IVs, meaning that it would use HP Dark.

I've just faced a Speed Boost Torchic in LC, when it got released only male lvl10.
Was there any new release for it? Couldn't find anything about, so I posted it here.

It should be fixed. If not that's a bug.
