With a solid lead in votes, qsns takes the week! Congrats :)!

This week, we'll be building around...

Tapu Bulu, another one of the Alolan guardian deities! Tapu Bulu makes for a really ridiculously strong physically attacker in the DOU metagame, sporting 130 Attack that's simply ready to fire off Life Orb Wood Hammers that's also boosted by Grassy Terrain, which is automatically set by Tapu Bulu's ability Grassy Surge and boosts Grass-type move power by x1.5. The terrain also provides some passive recovery for grounded pokemon, friend and foe alike. The downsides of Tapu Bulu are its Speed, which sits at a middling 75, and its punishable Special Defense, though this could possibly be supplemented by an Assault Vest if one chooses to do so!

Deadline of building on Saturday GMT noon!

I would also like to give a special shoutout to qsns for following the format on the OP, god bless!

Dual terrain is a fun playstyle since it is possible to prevent people from abusing your terrains. This team started off as a simple Lele + Deoxys Psychic spam, with Scarf Lele since I really despise Lele's speed tier. I added Scrafty as a good Dark, Steel, and Ghost check. I added Bulu since not only does Scrafty appreciate free recovery, but a weakened Lando is nice for the team in general. Bulu is also an incredibly powerful physical mon that can break past the Special dark types, Lando, and other mons that threaten my psychics. (Spread is from Arctic btw can't remember what it does.) I added Char-Y next as a spread special attacker, Heatran lure, and another good mon in general. I finally added Aegislash for wide guard to block Heat Wave's and Rock Slides, plus it is a good Lele check.

Believe it or not, Mega Metagross is really neat, having a really good matchup against Tapus and all other Megas except Mega Charizard Y. This set relies more on its defensive stats, most notably allowing it to use Zen Headbutt on Mega Gengar after surviving a Shadow Ball. But just in case that Mega Metagross can't take any more hits, I added Hydreigon, it's everlasting, reliable partner that serves as a great pivot and counter to its threats. The next Pokemon of choice was Tapu Bulu because I wanted Mega Metagross to take an advantage of Grassy Terrain's effects (Grounded Pokemon gets 1/16 HP recovery and Ground-type moves are halved). Under Grassy Terrain, Mega Metagross's Substitute will survive Landorus-T's Earthquake (-1). Then, Landorus was added to help the team against a wide variety of threats, including Fire-types, Steel types, Electric-types, and even Poison types such as Muk-Alola. Next, I added Scarfed Victini because it straight up OHKO Steel-types such as Celesteela and can use Final Gambit on those that resist it. The last Pokemon of choice was Suicune for Tailwind support. It has enough bulk to survive Tapu Koko's Thunderbolt (boosted under Electric Terrain and with Life Orb) or Shaymin-Sky's Seed Flare. It is also a more reliable choice for eliminating Landorus-T and Mega Salamence. And thanks to its great bulk, it is quite reliable for tanking damage and using "Lum-Rest" to use Tailwind once again.

This won an official room tour, so it must be good. Alright, I originally built around bulu+ tr grassy seed necroz, bulu gets a chance to sweep under tr and necroz acts as a very strong wincon. I added eruptran as a steel answer, z eruption gives me a way around wide guard and a fire move not reliant on hp. Mega Kang does kang stuff. Diancie is my mence check and second setter, diamond storm is absolutely broken now, it took a solid 40% from bulu wood hammer and exca iron head after two boosts. Wishiwashi is actually decent btw, it's has very good bulk and is the hardest hitting water attacker. Endeavor makes wishiwashi a huge threat even below 25%, and it meshes well with kang stoss and the other spread attackers.

Overall, it plays like classic full TR except necrozma can easily win the game if it gets free turns or if the other sweepers break down its checks. Thanks for reading!

I built this team around the core of Tapu Bulu and Substitute Heatran. Tapu Bulu is a wall breaker on this team. 252 Atk Adamant Choice Band Wood Hammer in Grassy Terrain does huge damage, even to resists. The set is pretty standard. I run Horn Leech over more coverage because Bulu has a tendency to kill itself with recoil.

Grassy Terrain is a great field condition for Heatran because of the passive recovery and the EQ damage reduction. Once behind a Sub, Heatran restores it's HP quickly between it's Leftovers and the Terrain. It applies offensive pressure to the opposing team and is a check to Tapu Lele.

After this, I added a Tail Wind Suicune. Both of the attackers on the team so far are relatively slow. With TW + attack control, the two can plow through teams that cant take their hits.

Because of the offensive pressure the team provides currently, I added a Mega-Salamence to the team. It finds plenty of opportunities to switch in and set up. I like the set I'm running. Roost is good to capitalize on the switches it forces by restoring it's HP so it can stay in for longer. At +1, most opponents just say GG.

Alolan Muk was added for two reasons. I needed something that's good under TR, and I really hate Tapu Lele. I'm running Assault Vest + Power of Alchemy because I wanted to try it out. It's pretty fun to steal Beast Boost. 4 attacks is nice too. I run 2 Poison-type attacks because I have bad luck. Shadow Sneak is nice to get a surprise pick on a (very) weakened foe. This Pokemon beats many common threats in Doubles. It supports Tapu Bulu by eliminating the opposing Tapus that would change it's terrain, and Tapu Bulu, in return, gives it HP regen and removes it's weakness to EQ.

Celesteela is the last Pokemon I added to this team. I run a bulky mono-attacking set. Leech Seed is nice to restore it's HP and deal chip damage to the opponent. Wide Guard support is super handy and not many people predict it, shockingly enough. Heavy Slam is a strong STAB attack that deals a ton of damage.

first team i built for sm and it went 23-0 on the ladder and got 1st so it has to be good. started with zardy + landot since i liked it in xy and wanted to try it in sm. i added jirachi as a rock resist and the ability to set tr as im a big fan of sun tr. i then added tapu bulu and volcanion to do big damage under trick room and do well against water types. bulu also 1/2s eq damage which is really nice. finally, drampa, the star of the show has dragon/fire/ice coverage which is really nice and can use dragonz move for loads of damage. fun to use, peaked the super important ladder, and features drampa lol

So I built this team mainly around the purpose of breaking down Bulu's main counters, as Bulu's natural role is that of a wallbreaker. Rock Slide Lando-I was a fairly fantastic fit that came into my head as with all the other exquisite ideas i have... anyways, it shits on Charizards that think they're safe, it kills Heatran, it kills Jirachi, and it's the only special attacker, off the top of my 2:33 AM head, that can oneshot Alola-Muk!

With that core down, it was important to have counters to Psychic spam. Ferrothorn under Grassy Terrain with lefties is like bringing three counters to psychic spam, and if u add intimidate, even Deo-A is gonna bite the dust to barbs + gyro after dealing a pitiful, not-that-large(?) amount of damage to him. So i did.

Special Mence fills the role of intimidate + being stupidly bulky + dealing damages + baiting other mences, cuz mence completely shits on everyone else so far. Thundy was added for extra Mence protection, but is honestly mostly there because I don't like getting flinched, and backup for well-built trick room teams.

Blaziken is very nice for killing aegislash and Lando-T, as well as just dealing tons of damage with Superpower. Since Psychics are so well covered by ferro + bulky thundy + terrain switcher, I figured Blaziken was alright to add. And it was.

the end

if u vote for me u get interns :]!

So bulu was actually one of the last pokemon i added. I started with the standard sand core (ttar+exca+mega mence) and went from there. I added milo first to deal with lando t and opposing mence (but mostly lando). Then I wanted something to break bulky waters, and i didnt really want to do a grounded electric, so i had to pick one of the two viable grasses in the tier. Skymin is shit without sash, so i went with big boi bulu. I rounded out the team with thundurus mostly to deal with celesteela, which my team was p weak to before.

btw, wtf is tapu bulu supposed to be? it looks like a sombrero with fuckin arms
