Entering this seasonal earns you points in qualifying for the DPP OU Championship. Winning this tournament will allow you to display

in your signature.

SPECIFIC RULES
  • This is a standard Gen 4 OU Tournament. All matches must be played in "[Gen 4] OU".
  • This tournament will be Double Elimination.
  • In the situation where both players end the game with no Pokemon left, a tie is declared.
  • All rounds will be First to 2 Wins. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
  • Saving replays is mandatory. You do not have to post your unless mentioned in the round's OP.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown (or smogtours server).

Clauses:
  • Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
  • Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
  • OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
  • Evasion Clause: Evasion moves are banned, as are Sand Veil and Snow Cloak for Pokémon with more than one ability.
  • HP Percentage Mod: HP is shown in percentages
  • Baton Pass Clause:
    • Baton Pass cannot be used in conjunction with a boost in speed + another stat
    • No team can contain more than one Pokémon with Baton Pass.

General Tournament Rules:
  • Identity: I expect many battles to be completed under alts. This can be bad for tournament security, and thus I will make this clear: If I hear any whispers of identity theft (battling as someone you are not) or proxy battling (helping someone else battle through pm) I will not be pleased and I will take severe actions.
  • Timer Clause: As for taking long between moves, if your opponent asks you to hurry up, please oblige. If you are doing a damage calc for a key turn that is one thing, but prolonging every move is suspicious and annoying. Don't do it. Furthermore, Battle Timeout is a rule for a reason. If you run out of time, you lose, simple as that. It does not matter what your opponent says. Do not battle if you think you will have to leave mid battle, and instead reschedule for a better time.
  • Disconnections: Finally, in the case of a disconnect, the decision is in the hands of the player who did not disconnect. The options are: redo the battle move for move, redo the battle with the same teams but different moves, or redo the battle with completely different teams. If the battle was without a doubt over, they may also take the win. Any suspicion that a disconnect was committed on purpose to redo a match may be appealed to me, and if I feel this happened there will be severe consequences, don't do it.

Banned deucer.
Hi I'm here to contest my act loss.

I made it clear that I needed to schedule early because I don't know how things will go over in the weekend and I wanted to fit this in before it got packed. I made an explicit date clear, giove97 was on for several days before he responded and when he did his response was 1. too late already and 2. for a time that I made clear that I could not do. I then responded and made it clear that I couldn't. Earlier messages also showed that I was willing to make an extension work, which he didn't ask but instead proceeded to basically ignore what I wrote entirely.

so tl;dr he ignored me for a period of time i needed him to respond, when he did it was clear he didn't read anything i wrote and suggested an impossible time, he ignored my idea of an extension as well. Proof's on his wall. I don't think punishing me in this case is fair. I can understand not wanting the tour to be decided on this type of thing, but in all honesty I feel like this is punishing me for having a life outside of Smogon.

He proposed Sunday when you said weekends were available for you and you replied to him with "i already called act". He then asked you to reschedule since you responded the same day and you kept saying no. This is actfishing and giove97 was granted the activity win for giving you a time that according to your own words worked for you that you straight up refused. This decision was reviewed by multiple hosts and they agreed as well, if you still have an issue with it you are free to request for a Tournament Director to review the case.

Heika I should have received an activity win over AV11 for not responding to my contact. Was my bad for not posting in the thread, but you’re supposed to double check.

Step 8. When you reach the deadline of the round you'll have many games that went unplayed for whatever reasons, you then must look at the thread for people claiming activity wins and asking for extensions (and you'll need to do a little investigation by checking their profiles for VM communication as well).
If you do it when you host then props to you, but I read the official hosting guideline before doing the acts, and before responding to you too, and it’s written nowhere.
Might be something to edit in if it’s really how it should be.

Still, sorry.

This is standard for tournament hosts, you can also ask in the tour hosting discord. If the profile was indeed checked it would show I received no contact in my scheduling attempt and would have progressed.
