[OVERVIEW]
Drowzee may not shine in NU, but it has just enough tools to be a fringe threat. It has excellent utility with Hypnosis and Thunder Wave, a powerful STAB Psychic, and just enough bulk to reasonably defeat Mr. Mime or heavily dent other threats before going down. Thanks to Thunder Wave, Drowzee is a pain for most teams to deal with; taking paralysis and chip damage on Pokemon like Clefable, Blastoise, and Charizard to remove it is often an unacceptable trade to make, but Mr. Mime is unlikely to defeat Drowzee since it is only 4HKOed by Seismic Toss. Hypnosis is a scary threat in NU as well, even with a mere 60% accuracy; Drowzee easily finds opportunities to fish for it against Mr. Mime, Exeggcute, and even Venomoth after it puts something to sleep. These traits give Drowzee amazing role compression, freeing up space for teams to run powerful threats that would otherwise be hard to fit alongside sleep inducers and checks to Mr. Mime. Of course, this role compression comes at a cost; Drowzee's base 42 Speed is pathetic, leaving it outpaced by even Golem and Wigglytuff and only narrowly outrunning Exeggcute, which carries advantages like a resistance to Water and Electric as well as a more accurate sleep inducing move. Speaking of Exeggcute, it's Drowzee's main competition; aside from its ability to spread sleep and paralysis, check Mr. Mime, and use Explosion, it can check Electrode and hamstring Golem, two things Drowzee fully fails at. Drowzee's physical bulk is lacking, and it has to fear 2HKOs from many physical attackers. Hypnosis's poor accuracy compounds this issue, as Drowzee will only get one or two attempts to land it against most foes. Teams using Drowzee are inconsistent, but they can cram in more attackers to exploit its ability to spread status and try to maintain pressure.

Hypnosis allows Drowzee to fish for sleep against Mr. Mime, Venomoth, and Exeggcute; it can also be used in desperate situations against foes like Clefable, Blastoise, and Charizard to try to turn around a losing game. Thunder Wave hamstrings dangerous Pokemon like Charizard, Mr. Mime, and Raticate and makes it hard to switch into a healthy Drowzee. Psychic 4HKOes most foes and 2HKOes Psychic-weak Pokemon like Venomoth and Nidoking. It can also drop Special and reapply Speed drops from paralysis, allowing Drowzee to outspeed and KO foes even if it’s paralyzed. Seismic Toss hits Psychic-types like Mr. Mime and Exeggcute, notably 3HKOing the former. Drowzee may occasionally choose to use Counter over Hypnosis to punish physical attackers and KO Mr. Mime faster, but this is inconsistent and requires giving up valuable utility.

Drowzee functions best as a lead due to the prevalence of Mr. Mime and Charizard leads. Against Mr. Mime, it’s able to fish for Hypnosis multiple times, whereas against Charizard it can use Thunder Wave and beat it down with Psychic, potentially forcing a switch. None of Drowzee’s moves except Seismic Toss are safe for Venomoth to switch into, so it helps to control the match from the start unless it runs into a rare Venomoth lead. Drowzee will thus almost always seek to spread status and then attack until it's brought down; it has very little use as a revenge killer or defensive pivot due to its awful Speed and lack of useful resistances. Drowzee cooperates well with allies that benefit from it removing Mr. Mime leads, like Mr. Mime, Blastoise, and Kingler, and it also benefits teammates that want Charizard paralyzed and heavily weakened, like Moltres, Venomoth, and Raticate. Defensively, teams with Drowzee have a physical weakness that can be patched up by allies like Blastoise, Clefable, and Kingler.

[OVERVIEW]
Drowzee may not shine in NU, but it has just enough (has just enough tools?) to be a fringe threat. It has unparalleled i would most certainly not say unparalleled when moth exists utility with Hypnosis and Thunder Wave, a blistering blistering reminds me of speed, not damage STAB Psychic, and just enough bulk to reasonably defeat Mr. Mime or heavily dent other threats before going down. Thanks to Thunder Wave, Drowzee is a pain for most teams to deal with; taking paralysis and chip damage on Pokemon like Clefable, Blastoise, and Charizard is often an unacceptable trade, this but doesn't make much sense because its not in contrast to what is said before but Mr. Mime is unlikely to defeat Drowzee since it is only 4HKOed by Seismic Toss. Hypnosis is a centralizing hypnosis is not very centralizing. its powerful but not centralizing as egg and moth both use powder and scary threat in NU as well, even with a mere 60% accuracy; Drowzee easily finds opportunities to fish for it against Mr. Mime, Exeggcute, and even Venomoth after it puts something to sleep id include stoise somewhat. maybe worth mentioning pory as its the only thing that it outspeed but pory has kinda crumbled a bit. These traits give Drowzee unparalleled like i mentioned before, its very much paralleled by egg or moth ( egg even also checks mime and moths like drowzee) role compression, freeing up space for teams to run powerful threats that would otherwise be hard to fit alongside sleep inducers and checks to Mr. Mime egg is competetion here and is usually better bc of its golem MU. Of course, this role compression comes at a cost; Drowzee's base 42 Speed is pathetic, leaving it outpaced by even Golem and Wigglytuff and only narrowly outrunning Exeggcute, which carries advantages like a resistance to Water and Electric as well as a more accurate sleep inducing move.i think you are overhyping drowzee and this comparison to egg should be a bigger focus of this overwiew Drowzee's physical bulk is lacking, and it has to fear 2HKOs from many physical attackers. Hypnosis's poor accuracy compounds this issue, as Drowzee will only get one or two attempts to land it against most foes. Teams using Drowzee are inconsistent, but they can cram in more attackers to exploit its ability to spread status and try to maintain pressure. i think this is the point to stress over egg
