RU Golurk [QC 3/2] [GP 2/2]

Golurk-Modell.gif

[OVERVIEW]
Golurk has made a name for itself in RU as a fearsome wallbreaker with no true counters due its high Attack stat and powerful coverage moves, especially its Poltergeist. Unlike other Ghost-types such as Chandelure and Decidueye, Golurk easily breaks through common Ghost-resistant and -immune foes like Umbreon, Incineroar, and Snorlax with Close Combat and Earthquake. Even though Golurk is not a fast Pokemon, it is still fast enough to outspeed common defensive threats such as Reuniclus, Registeel, and Diancie. Nevertheless, Golurk's low Speed and weaknesses to common offensive typings such as Grass, Water, and Ghost make it struggle to find switch-in opportunities, and it is easily revenge killed by faster threats such as Roserade, Volcanion, and Chandelure. Golurk also struggles against potential itemless Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu due to Poltergeist failing against them. This complicates the teambuilding process due to its incompatibility with Knock Off users. Golurk faces competition from other Ghost- and Ground-types such as Chandelure, Dhelmise, and Flygon, as they are either faster, easier to integrate into the team, or provide more utility. Unlike other Ground-types, Golurk is unable to check common Electric-types like Raikou and Xurkitree due to their super effective coverage moves and higher Speed.

[SET]
name: Wallbreaker
move 1: Poltergeist
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Close Combat
move 4: Trick / Shadow Punch
item: Choice Band
ability: No Guard / Iron Fist
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Close Combat allows Golurk to get rid of bulky Dark- and Normal-types such as Umbreon, Porygon2, and Snorlax. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon, eases prediction, and synergizes well with Poltergeist. Shadow Punch can be used instead to hit itemless defensive Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu and make it easier to integrate into a team with Knock Off. On a team with Knock Off support, Stone Edge is an option to hit Flying-types such as Noivern and Togekiss. No Guard gives Golurk a perfectly accurate Poltergeist, while Iron First should only be run alongside Shadow Punch to increase its strength.

Golurk is a great wallbreaker for balance and bulky offense teams, but it is important to keep in mind that these teams should have minimal Knock Off users. Golurk appreciates reliable pivots such as Xurkitree, Porygon2, and Incineroar, since it struggles to find switch-in opportunities. Noivern and Crobat often lure bulky Steel- and Rock-types like Registeel, Bronzong, and Diancie for Golurk takes advantage of. They are also good checks to Grass-types like Roserade and Celebi. Normal- and bulky Dark-types such as Porygon2, Snorlax, Umbreon, and Incineroar prevents Poltergeist from being used freely. Fighting-types such as Cobalion, Heracross, and Bewear are practical teammates to check these Pokemon offensively; Toxic Spikes and Spikes setters like Roserade, Klefki, and Golisopod also help punish them. Despite its typing, Golurk is not a great check to RU's best Electric-types in Raikou and Xurkitree. Therefore, a reliable check to them such as Assault Vest Reuniclus, Dragalge, or Roserade is recommended. These Pokemon also provide Future Sight or entry hazard support. Since itemless Flygon and the uncommon Tangela are the best defensive switch-ins to Golurk, pairing Golurk with offensive answers to them, such as Noivern, Toxicroak, and Roserade, is recommendable. Strong late-game cleaners such as Choice Scarf Heracross, Gardevoir, and Sharpedo appreciate Golurk's wallbreaking capabilities, while Golurk appreciates their capability to deal with more offense teams, which it struggles with.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Ice Punch is an option to better deal with Flying-types and itemless defensive Flygon, but it does not have much use outside of this. A Rock Polish set with Life Orb turns Golurk into a strong late-game sweeper; however, it is often outclassed by Mimikyu and Polteageist, as they have more setup opportunities and are harder to revenge kill. Golurk can function as a Stealth Rock setter, but it prefers running coverage moves to punch holes in the opposing team. Dynamic Punch has a tempting secondary effect and can be used over Close Combat, but Golurk prefers the extra power from Close Combat to OHKO Ghost-resistant or -immune walls such as Umbreon, Snorlax, and Porygon2. Choice Scarf Golurk has a good matchup against offense teams and can lure threats such as Xurkitree, Raikou, and Celebi. Unfortunately, this set loses much of its wallbreaking power and is often outclassed by other Choice Scarf users like Flygon and Chandelure due to their higher Speed stat and, in the case of Flygon, utility in U-turn.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Bulky Dark-types such as Umbreon and Incineroar can reliably switch into Golurk's Poltergeist and threaten it with their Dark-type STAB moves. However, Golurk KOes every Dark-type with Close Combat or, Incineroar's case, with both Earthquake and Close Combat, so they must be careful of switching in. Offensive Dark-types such as Swords Dance Incineroar and Sharpedo can easily revenge kill Golurk with their strong STAB moves.

**Faster Pokemon**: Due to Golurk's low Speed and common weaknesses, faster Pokemon such as Barraskewda, Roserade, and Chandelure can revenge kill it. Pokemon with super effective coverage such as Energy Ball Xurkitree, Shadow Ball Raikou, and Darkest Lariat Bewear can also revenge kill Golurk.

**Normal-types**: Normal-types such as Snorlax, Porygon2, and Bewear are immune to Poltergeist and take advantage of Golurk if it locks into that move. However, they must watch out for its coverage moves, specifically Close Combat.

**Itemless Pokemon**: Golurk's greatest strength is its strong Poltergeist, which is why it struggles against Pokemon that run no item or lose it over the course of the battle. Defensive Flygon, Reuniclus, and Xatu run no item to better switch into Golurk. Meteor Beam Necrozma and White Herb Polteageist will lose their item over the course of the battle, which enables them to switch into Poltergeist or take advantage of Golurk once it is locked into this move. Lastly, if Golurk's team decides to have a Knock Off user, it is important to know that every opposing Pokemon will be immune to Poltergeist once they lose their item.

**Tangela**: Tangela can reliably switch into Golurk, but it has to be wary of Trick and is not too viable in the current metagame.

  • Golurk is a fearsome wallbreaker in RU which can break through common defensive threats such as Reuniclus, Registeel, and Gastrodon due to its high Attack stat and powerful moves, especially its No Guard Poltergeist. rather than mentioning specific walls it breaks emphasize that it has no real defensive counters bc it has coverage for all resists. also im slashing iron fist so remove no guard from overview
  • Unlike other Ghost-types such as Chandelure and Decidueye, Golurk breaks through common Ghost-resists like Umbreon, Incineroar, and Snorlax easier due to its great coverage in Close Combat and Earthquake.
  • id mention how even though it has low speed its still enough to outpace everything it needs to (fat mons)
  • However, Golurk has weaknesses to common types and a low Speed stat, meaning it often struggles to find switch-in opportunities and many common threats such as Roserade, Volcanion, and Chandelure can revenge kill it easily.
  • Golurk faces slightly competitions to other Ghost- and Ground-types such as Chandelure, Dhelmise, and Flygon, as they are either faster, easier to integrate into the team or provide more utility. mention how its a bad ground defensively bc both xurk and raikou can beat it super easily
  • also how depending on poltergeist as main wallbreaking tool can be annoying bc of negative synergy w other knock off users or random mons going itemless to beat it

  • Close Combat allows Golurk to get rid of bulky Dark- and Normal-types such as Umbreon, Porygon2, and Snorlax easier.
  • Trick cripples defensive Pokemon or allows it to hit itemless users such as Flygon with Poltergeist if Choice Band is no longer needed. last point is moot bc shadow punch does it better, I would mention that tricking a choice band is good in situations when the opponent can outplay golurk by continually pivoting ie. incin + crobat or something.
  • shadow punch beats itemless mons which is good when you have knockers
  • If the team wants to knock off Heavy-Duty Boots from Flying-types such as Noivern and Togekiss to deal better with them, Stone Edge is a recommend move as otherwise Golurk gets walled by them.
  • Ice Punch is also an option to deal with Flying-types as well as Flygon. drop to oo, offensive flygon nearly gets ohkod by shadow punch anyways
  • Golurk can also use Life Orb instead of Choice Band to switch its moves, making it harder to play around Golurk. However, Golurk prefers the extra power of Choice Band, is also easy to force out once the opponent gets a free switch, and wants to keep the health for a better match-up against weaker foes such as Crobat and Cobalion. you can just trick something If you really need it, drop to oo if you think its worth keeping on the analysis or just delete
  • No Guard is the ability of choice to never miss with Poltergeist.
  • A Jolly nature is an option to be faster than Adamant Incineroar and Modest Sylveon. However, these two variants are not very common and Golurk prefers the extra power from the Adamant nature. these don't really exist

  • Golurk appreciates reliable pivots such as Xurkitree, Porygon2, and Incineroar as otherwise it often struggles to find switch-in opportunities.
  • Noivern and Crobat often bait bulky Steel- and Rock-types like Registeel, Bronzong, and Diancie onto the battlefield of which Golurk takes huge advantage, and also check Grass-types like Roserade and Celebi.
  • Fighting-types such as Cobalion, Heracross, and Bewear check Dark- and Normal-types such as Umbreon, Incineroar, and Porygon2 which make the use of Poltergeist often difficult.
  • Despite its typing, Golurk is neither a great nor reliable check to RUs best Electric-types. As a result, a reliable check to them such as Assault Vest Reuniclus, Dragalge, and Roserade is recommend. These Pokemon also provide offensive support for Golurk.
  • Strong special attackers such as Noivern, Nasty Plot Celebi, and Necrozma are helpful to deal with the few physical walls that can take on Golurk such as Tangela and itemless Flygon. In return, they appreciate Golurk's ability to deal with special defensive threats such as Registeel, Klefki, and Assault Vest Reuniclus.
  • Finally, strong lategame-cleaners such as Choice Scarf Heracross, Gardevoir, and Sharpedo appreciate Golurks ability to weaken opposing teams for their sweep. In return they can deal with more offensive teams that Golurk struggles with.

nice work, let me know when you're done to stamp

Alright, I should now have everything implemented. You can check it again.

I've changed the overview with your additions. As I added the mention about "As a Ground-type it cant check Xurkitree and Raikou", I've also gave Toxtricity a mention and that Golurk can check it. I see it as nice to know/have, but I'm fine with it if I should remove this mention.
I've deleted the mention about LO as an option
I also added a new point in the teammate sections about that teams with Golurk are limit in terms of Knock Off users. I've added this because there is now a mention about it in the overview. hope that's okay

  • Close Combat allows Golurk to get rid of bulky Dark- and Normal-types such as Umbreon, Porygon2, and Snorlax easier.
  • Trick cripples defensive Pokemon and enables Golurk to deal better with teams that make predictions difficult due to multiple switch-ins into its attacks.

**Tangela**: Tangela can reliable pivot into Golurk since it is not 2HKOed by any move. However, Golurk can overwhelm Tangela with team support. emphasize the fact that even though its the best golurk counter its super rare and not that great (its like c rank iirc)?

  • No Guard is the ability of choice to never miss with Poltergeist. Iron Fist, on the other hand, should only run with Power Shadow Punch in order to power up its strength.

  • Golurk is a great wallbreaker for balance and bulky offense teams but it is important to keep in mind that these teams are limited in terms of Knock Off users.

Other Options

  • Ice Punch is also an option to deal with Flying-types as well as defensive Flygon with no item.
  • A Rock Polish set with Life Orb turns Golurk into a strong lategame sweeper. However, this set is often outclassed by Mimikyu and Polteageist as they get more setup opportunities and harder to revenge kill.
  • If the team lacks a Stealth Rock setter, Golurk can take on this role. However, Golurk prefers to use its opportunities to punch holes in the opposing team instead of setting up Stealth Rock.
  • Dynamic Punch can be used over Close Combat due to its secondary effect. However, Golurk prefers the extra power from Close Combat because it gives Golurk a higher chance to knock out Ghost-resists such as Umbreon, Snorlax, and Porygon2 in just one hit.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Bulky Dark-types such as Umbreon and Incineroar can reliably switch into Golurk's Poltergeist and then threaten it with their Dark-type move. However, Golurk knocks out every Dark-type with its Close Combat, or in case of Incineroar with its Earthquake, so they should watch out for that. Offensive Dark-types such as Sword Dance Incineroar and Sharpedo, on the other hand, can revenge kill Golurk easily with their strong STAB move.

**Normal-types**: Normal-types such as Snorlax, Porygon2, and Bewear are immune to Poltergeist and take huge advantage of Golurk once it is locked in this move. However, they have to watch out for its coverage moves, especially Close Combat.

**Itemless Pokemon**: Golurk's greatest strength is based on Poltergeist which is why it struggles quickly against Pokemon that has no item or lose it over the battle. Defensive Flygon, Reuniclus, and Xatu are examples of Pokemon that have sometimes no item to better switch into Golurk. Meteor Beam Necrozma and Power Herb Polteageist, on the other hand, are Pokemon that will lose their item over the battle which enable them to switch into Poltergeist or take advantage of Golurk once it is Choice-locked into this move. Lastly, if the team decides to have a Knock Off user, it is important to know that every opposing Pokemon will be immune to Poltergeist once it loses its item to Knock Off.

**Tangela**: Tangela can reliable pivot into Golurk since it is not 2HKOed by any move. However, Golurk can overwhelm Tangela with team support. emphasize the fact that even though its the best golurk counter its super rare and not that great (its like c rank iirc)?

**Various Defensive Pokemon**: Defensive Flygon with no item is immune to both STAB moves from Golurk and can take advantage of it, while Tangela is not 2HKOed by any move so it can reliable pivot in to it. However, Golurk can OHKO Flygon with Ice Punch and overwhelming Tangela with team support.

**Faster Threats**: Due to Golurk's low Speed stat and common weaknesses, common threats such as Barraskewda, Roserade, and Chandelure can revenge kill Golurk quickly. Beyond that, Pokemon with a super effective coverage move such as Energy Ball Xurkitree, Shadow Ball Raikou, and Darkest Lariat Bewear can also revenge kill Golurk.

the order for this section should be
- darks
- faster mons
- normal types
- itemless

- tangela

Golurk's greatest strength is based on Poltergeist which means it may quickly struggle against itemless Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu and also limits the teambuilding process due to its incompatibility with Knock Off users. As Poltergeist fails when the target has no item, Golurk can struggle against potential itemless Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu. This also causes some limitations during teambuilding due to its incompatibility with Knock Off users. Close Combat allows Golurk to get rid of bulky Dark- and Normal-types such as Umbreon, Porygon2, and Snorlax easier. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon and enables Golurk to deal better with teams that make predictions difficult due to multiple switch-ins into its attacks. (mention how it can synergise with poltergeist, examples wld be tricking itemless targets). Shadow Punch can be used instead to deal better with itemless Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu and makes it easier to integrate a Pokemon with Knock Off into the team. If the team wants to knock off Heavy-Duty Boots from Flying-types such as Noivern and Togekiss to deal better with them, Stone Edge is a recommend move as otherwise Golurk gets walled by them. On a team with Knock Off support, Stone Edge is an option to hit Flying-type targets such as Noivern and Togekiss after their Heavy-Duty Boots have been removed. (think this is more coherent, feel free to keep the same or adjust the wording). No Guard is the ability of choice to never miss with Poltergeist. Iron Fist, on the other hand, should only run with Shadow Punch in order to increase its strength.

Golurk is a great wallbreaker for balance and bulky offense teams but it is important to keep in mind that these teams are limited in terms of Knock Off users. Golurk appreciates reliable pivots such as Xurkitree, Porygon2, and Incineroar as otherwise it often struggles to find switch-in opportunities. (maybe rephrase it more towards how poltergeist is not as spammable with these dark and normal types around, you can still use it because those switching into golurk is very prediction reliant). Despite its typing, Golurk is neither a great nor reliable check to RUs RU's best Electric-types. As a result, a reliable check to them such as Assault Vest Reuniclus, Dragalge, and Roserade is recommend recommended. These Pokemon also provide offensive support for Golurk. Since itemless Flygon and the uncommon Tangela are the best defensive switch-ins to Golurk, paring Golurk with offensive answers to them such as Noivern, Toxicroak, and Roserade are recommendable. The aforementioned mention latter also provides Spikes support. Finally, strong lategame-cleaners (remove hyphen) such as Choice Scarf Heracross, Gardevoir, and Sharpedo appreciate Golurks (add apostrophe) ability to weaken opposing teams for their sweep. In return they can deal with more offensive teams that Golurk struggles with.

Dynamic Punch can be used over Close Combat due to its secondary effect. However, Golurk prefers the extra power from Close Combat because it gives Golurk a higher chance to knock out Ghost-resists such as Umbreon, Snorlax, and Porygon2 in just one hit. Choice Scarf Golurk has a good match-up against offense teams and can lure some threats such as Xurkitree, Raikou, and Celebi. However, this set is often outclassed by other Choice Scarf users like Flygon and Chandelure due to their higher Speed stat and, in case of Flygon, utility in U-turn. (would also mention how this cuts away from its wallbreaking prowess).

Other Options
=============

Ice Punch is also an option to deal with Flying-types as well as defensive Flygon with no item. A Rock Polish set with Life Orb turns Golurk into a strong lategame sweeper. However, this set is often outclassed by Mimikyu and Polteageist as they get more setup opportunities and harder to revenge kill. If the team lacks a Stealth Rock setter, Golurk can take on this role. However, Golurk prefers to use its opportunities to punch holes in the opposing team instead of setting up Stealth Rock.

Checks and Counters
===================

Offensive Dark-types such as Swords Dance Incineroar and Sharpedo, on the other hand, can revenge kill Golurk easily with their strong STAB move.

Meteor Beam Necrozma and White Herb Polteageist, on the other hand, are Pokemon that will lose their item over the battle which enable them to switch into Poltergeist or take advantage of Golurk once it is Choice-locked into this move. Lastly, if the team decides to have a Knock Off user, it is important to know that every opposing Pokemon will be immune to Poltergeist once it loses its item to Knock Off.

**Tangela**: Tangela can reliable reliably pivot into Golurk since it is not 2HKOed by any move. However, Tangela has a an extremely small niche in RU and due to this it is not very common at all. add on how it has to be wary of trick, as losing eviolite can severely limit its effectiveness because the reliance on eviolite for its bulk.

[OVERVIEW]
Golurk has made a name for itself in RU as a fearsome wallbreaker with no true counters (I would probably change this to "switch-ins", but it is up to you) in RU due its high Attack stat and powerful coverage moves, especially its Poltergeist. Unlike other Ghost-types such as Chandelure and Decidueye, Golurk easily breaks through common Ghost-resists like Umbreon, Snorlax, and Incineroar easier due to its great coverage in Close Combat and Earthquake. Even though Golurk is not a fast Pokemon, it is still fast enough to outspeed many common defensive threats such as Reuniclus, Registeel, and Diancie. Nevertheless, Golurk has a Golurk's low Speed stat and weaknesses to common offensive typings such as Grass, Water, and Ghost, which let make it struggle to find switch-in opportunities and makes it easy to revenge kill for it is easily revenge killed by faster threats such as Roserade, Volcanion, and Chandelure. Poltergeist's drawback to fail when the target has no item, lets Golurk also struggle struggles against potential itemless Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu due to Poltergeist failing when the target does not have an item. and complicate This complicates the teambuilding process due to its incompatibility with Knock Off users. Golurk faces competitions from other Ghost- and Ground-types such as Chandelure, Dhelmise, and Flygon, as they are either faster, easier to integrate into the team, (add comma) or provide more utility. In addition to the competition of from Ground-types, Golurk is unable to check the common Electric-types like Raikou and Xurkitree due to their super effective coverage moves and higher Speed stat.

[SET]

move 3: Close Combat
move 4: Trick / Shadow Punch

[SET COMMENTS]
Close Combat allows Golurk to get rid of bulky Dark- and Normal-types such as Umbreon, Porygon2, and Snorlax easier. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon, enables Golurk to deal better better deal with teams that make predictions difficult due to multiple switch-ins into its attacks, and synergise synergizes well with Poltergeist by giving itemless, defensive (add comma) Pokemon like Flygon the a Choice Band. Shadow Punch can be used instead to deal better hit (avoids repetition) with itemless Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu and makes make it easier to integrate a Pokemon with Knock Off into the team. On a team with Knock Off support, Stone Edge is an option to hit Flying-type targets such as Noivern and Togekiss after their Heavy-Duty Boots have been removed (I don't see what Stone Edge has to do with losing HDB, Stone Edge is hitting these mons super hard anyways). No Guard gives Golurk a perfectly accurate Poltergeist, while Iron First should only be run alongside Shadow Power Punch to increase its strength.

Golurk is a great wallbreaker for balance and bulky offense teams, but it is important to keep in mind, that these teams are limited in terms of Knock Off users. Golurk appreciates reliable pivots such as Xurkitree, Porygon2, and Incineroar, since it struggles to find switch-in opportunities. Noivern and Crobat often bait bulky Steel- and Rock-types like Registeel, Bronzong, and Diancie onto the battlefield of which Golurk takes huge advantage of. They are also good checks for to Grass-types like Roserade and Celebi. Normal- and bulky Dark-types such as Porygon2, Snorlax, Umbreon, and Incineroar prevents Poltergeist from being used freely. Due to this, Fighting-types such as Cobalion, Heracross, and Bewear are practical teammates to check these threat Pokemon (I personally try to avoid using the word "threat" when referring to a defensive Pokemon) offensively, while additional Toxic Spikes or Spikes support from the likes of Roserade, Klefki, and Golisopod is useful to punish some of them by their switch-in attempt helps punish them through chip damage. Despite its typing, Golurk is neither a great nor reliable not a great check to RU's best Electric-types in Raikou and Xurkitree. Therefore, a reliable check to them such as Assault Vest Reuniclus, Dragalge, and or Roserade is recommended. These Pokemon also provide offensive support for Golurk. Since itemless Flygon and the uncommon Tangela are the best defensive switch-ins to Golurk, paring Golurk with offensive answers to them such as Noivern, Toxicroak, and Roserade is recommendable. The latter also provides Spikes support. (you already said this) Strong late-game cleaners such as Choice Scarf Heracross, Gardevoir, and Sharpedo appreciate Golurk's wallbreaking capabilities, while Golurk appreciates their capability to deal with more offense teams, (remove comma) that Golurk struggles with.

Unlike other Ghost-types such as Chandelure and Decidueye, Golurk easily breaks through common Ghost-resists like Umbreon, Snorlax, and Incineroar easier due to its great coverage in Ghost-resistant and -immune foes like Umbreon, Incineroar, and Snorlax with Close Combat and Earthquake.(snorlax is not a ghost resist, it is immune) Even though Golurk is not a fast Pokemon, it is still fast enough to outspeed many common defensive threats such as Reuniclus, Registeel, and Diancie. Nevertheless, Golurk's low Speed and weaknesses to common offensive typings such as Grass, Water, and Ghost,(RC) make it struggle to find switch-in opportunities,(AC) and it is easily revenge killed by faster threats such as Roserade, Volcanion, and Chandelure. Golurk also struggles against potential itemless Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu due to Poltergeist failing when the target does not have an item. This complicates the teambuilding process due to its incompatibility with Knock Off users. Golurk faces competitions from other Ghost- and Ground-types such as Chandelure, Dhelmise, and Flygon, as they are either faster, easier to integrate into the team, or provide more utility. In addition to competition from Unlike other Ground-types, Golurk is unable to check common Electric-types like Raikou and Xurkitree due to their super effective coverage moves and higher Speed.

[SET]
name: Wallbreaker
move 1: Poltergeist
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Close Combat
move 4: Trick / Shadow Punch
item: Choice Band
ability: No Guard / Iron Fist
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Close Combat allows Golurk to get rid of bulky Dark- and Normal-types such as Umbreon, Porygon2, and Snorlax. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon, enables Golurk to better deal with teams that make predictions difficult due to multiple switch-ins into its attacks eases prediction, and(removed space) synergizes well with Poltergeist by giving itemless Pokemon like Flygon a Choice Band. Shadow Punch can be used instead to hit itemless,(RC) defensive Pokemon such as Flygon and Xatu and make it easier to integrate a Pokemon with Knock Off into the team into a team with Knock Off. On a team with Knock Off support, Stone Edge is an option to hit Flying-types targets such as Noivern and Togekiss. No Guard gives Golurk a perfectly accurate Poltergeist, while Iron First should only be run alongside Shadow Punch to increase its strength.

Golurk is a great wallbreaker for balance and bulky offense teams, but it is important to keep in mind,(RC) that these teams are limited in terms of should have minimal Knock Off users. Golurk appreciates reliable pivots such as Xurkitree, Porygon2, and Incineroar, since it struggles to find switch-in opportunities. Noivern and Crobat often bait lure in bulky Steel- and Rock-types like Registeel, Bronzong, and Diancie onto the battlefield of which for Golurk takes advantage of. They are also good checks to Grass-types like Roserade and Celebi. Normal- and bulky Dark-types such as Porygon2, Snorlax, Umbreon, and Incineroar prevents Poltergeist from being used freely. Due to this,(RC) Fighting-types such as Cobalion, Heracross, and Bewear are practical teammates to check these Pokemon offensively;(comma to semicolon) while additional Toxic Spikes or Spikes support from the likes of setters like Roserade, Klefki, and Golisopod also helps punish them through chip damage. Despite its typing, Golurk is not a great check to RU's best Electric-types in Raikou and Xurkitree. Therefore, a reliable check to them such as Assault Vest Reuniclus, Dragalge, or Roserade is recommended. These Pokemon also provide offensive support for Golurk.(what does this mean?) Since itemless Flygon and the uncommon Tangela are the best defensive switch-ins to Golurk, paring pairing Golurk with offensive answers to them,(AC) such as Noivern, Toxicroak, and Roserade,(AC) is recommendable. Strong late-game cleaners such as Choice Scarf Heracross, Gardevoir, and Sharpedo appreciate Golurk's wallbreaking capabilities, while Golurk appreciates their capability to deal with more offense teams,(AC) that Golurk which it struggles with.

Other Options
=============

If the team is missing Stealth Rock support,(RC) Golurk can take on this role Golurk can function as a Stealth Rock setter, but it prefers running coverage moves to punch holes in the opposing team instead. Dynamic Punch has a tempting secondary effect and might can be used over Close Combat,(AC) but Golurk prefers the extra power from Close Combat,(RC) because it increases Golurk's chance to OHKO Ghost-resists Ghost-resistant or -immune walls such as Umbreon, Snorlax, and Porygon2. Choice Scarf Golurk has a good match-up against offense teams and can lure threats such as Xurkitree, Raikou, and Celebi. Unfortunately, this set loses much of its wallbreaking power and is often outclassed by other Choice Scarf users like Flygon and Chandelure due to their higher Speed stat and, in the case of Flygon, utility in U-turn.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Bulky Dark-types such as Umbreon and Incineroar can reliably switch into Golurk's Poltergeist and then threaten it with their Dark-type STAB moves. However, Golurk knocks out KOes every Dark-type with Close Combat, or in case of Incineroar's case, with both Earthquake and Close Combat, so they must be careful of switching in on Golurk's coverage moves. Offensive Dark-types such as Swords Dance Incineroar and Sharpedo,(RC) on the other hand,(RC) can easily revenge kill Golurk easily with their strong STAB moves.

**Faster Pokemon**: Due to Golurk's low Speed and common weaknesses, faster Pokemon such as Barraskewda, Roserade, and Chandelure can revenge kill Golurk it.

However, they must(removed space) watch out for its coverage moves, specifically Close Combat.

**Itemless Pokemon**: Golurk's greatest strength is its strong Poltergeist, which is why it struggles against Pokemon that run no item or lose it over the course of the battle. Defensive Flygon, Reuniclus, and Xatu are examples of Pokemon that run no item to better switch into Golurk. Meteor Beam Necrozma and White Herb Polteageist,(RC) on the other hand,(RC) are Pokemon that will lose their item over the course of the battle, which enable them to switch into Poltergeist or take advantage of Golurk once it is locked into this move. Lastly, if the Golurk's team decides to have a Knock Off user, it is important to know that every opposing Pokemon will be immune to Poltergeist once they lose their item to Knock Off.

**Tangela**: Tangela can reliably pivot into Golurk, since it is not 2HKOed by any move. However, Tangela has to be wary of Trick, since it relies on its Eviolite. Additionally, it is also not too viable in the current metagame. Tangela can reliably switch into Golurk, but it has to be wary of Trick and is not too viable in the current metagame.

GP 1/2. [DC, 449990]
Thank you very much again DC I've implemented everything but before I put it to GP 1/2, just one question:

These Pokemon also provide offensive support for Golurk.(what does this mean?)
"These Pokemon also provide offensive support for Golurk such as Future Sight or entry hazard support."

Is this sentence so good or not - or should I remove it bc (T)Spikes support has already a mention/it is fluffy?

EDIT:
cleared on Discord and ready for the next gp check
