Pokemon Violet Solo Jumpluff BONUS 2
This is the true finale of Jumpluff's travels in Paldea. Geeta interviewed REDACTED after the rematches. She said Katy was the easiest Gym Leader, Ryme was the hardest, and Larry was the most liked. (The "depressed office worker" personality makes Larry stand out.) Uva Academy was holding the Academy Ace Tournament, which consisted of four matches against random opponents from Lv 67-69. Jumpluff was healed after each match, but had to fight all rounds consecutively without saving.
Arven was the first foe. Greedent failed to paralyze with Body Slam and fell to +2 Acrobatics. Garganacl was relatively weaker than last time because of the high level gap, and Jumpluff made its Seed Bomb grow in its salty soil. Scovillain, Toedscruel, Cloyster, and Mabosstiff also died to one use of Acrobatics or Seed Bomb.
Jacq the Biology teacher was second. His Intimidating Arcanine was a wise choice for an anti-Jumpluff lead. +1 Acrobatics still managed to kill Arcanine after it had taken recoil from Flare Blitz. Seed Bomb sprouted in Mudsdale, and Jumpluff set up Swords Dance against Swalot. This was an almost fatal error. Swalot cast Toxic, and the terminally ill Jumpluff had to slay Swalot, Slowbro, Lurantis, and Farigiraf in one hit. She did so with her usual attacks, and made it to the third round with only 32/297 HP.
Dendra the Battle Studies teacher did not study team building, and gave in to the temptation to use only Fighting monsters. Falinks made a half damage First Impression because Jumpluff Terastallized right away. (She Terastallized in all of the BONUS fights.) Falinks, Tauros #1, Medicham, and Hawlucha all fell to Acrobatics. Tauros #2 had a second Intimidate and a different form from the first. Tauros #2 had a new move called Raging Bull that dealt neutral damage to Flying. Acrobatics eliminated Tauros #2 and Hariyama, and Jumpluff moved to the final at Lv 94 with 218/297 HP.
Geeta was the last enemy trainer in Jumpluff's journey. Jumpluff Swords Danced against Espathra, though fearing Opportunist and a secret physical move I didn't want to get greedy. Being greedy would have been the correct play. Kingambit knew how to aim its Stone Edge this time, and Jumpluff needed to flip with Acrobatics twice to kill it. Veluza ate a Seed Bomb. Avalugg had better HP and Defense now, and held on after a +2 Acrobatics. Jumpluff was buried in an Avalanche, never to be seen again. Even the sky seemed to be crying for Jumpluff, since it looked like it was raining as the line "You were overwhelmed by your defeat!" appeared. As a wise rabbit would have said: "What did you expect from a solo Jumpluff challenge, a happy ending?"
(Since it was the postgame anyway, I wanted to make it a fair tournament.)
