Fairy
Iron Valiant @ Life Orb
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Close Combat
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Punch
- Moonblast / Shadow Sneak

Iron Valiant made its way to Fairy teams this generation, serving as an excellent mixed attacker for the type; due to its great coverage, Iron Valiant takes out threats like Pelipper, Hisuian Goodra, and Landorus. Close Combat is Iron Valiant's strongest STAB move, blasting away threats like the Ogerpon formes, Kingambit, Heatran, and Blissey. Iron Valiant also 2HKOes specially defensive Corviknight, which is huge for Fairy teams. Thunderbolt is a great coverage move, being able to threaten weakened Toxapex, Skarmory, and Gyarados. Ice Punch checks Ground- and Flying-types like Clodsire, Gliscor, and Landorus. Moonblast deals with Sableye and Great Tusk, while Shadow Sneak can be run to pick off weakened Flutter Mane. Life Orb is the best item on mixed Iron Valiant to OHKO specially defensive Gliscor and maximize its damage output to scare away the competition. Klefki serves as an excellent teammate for Iron Valiant, providing screens support, Spikes, and even paralysis via Thunder Wave. Klefki also provides Iron Valiant with a Poison Immunity and Steel neutrality thanks to its Steel typing, and it also stops setup sweepers like Scizor with Foul Play. Hatterene prevents hazards with Magic Bounce to keep Iron Valiant healthy, while also taking out Poison-types like Galarian Weezing and Amoonguss.

Close Combat is Iron Valiant's strongest STAB move blasting away through threats like the Ogerpon Forms, Kingambit, Heatran, Archaludon, (Only a 6.3% chance to OHKO) and Blissey. Iron Valiant also 2HKOes Specially Defensive Corviknight which is huge for Fairy teams. Thunderbolt is a great coverage move being able to threaten weakened Toxapex, Skarmory, and Gyarados. Ice Punch checks Ground- and Flying-types like Clodsire, Gliscor, and Landorus. Moonblast deals with Sableye and Great Tusk, while Shadow Sneak can be run to pick off weaken Flutter Mane. Life Orb is the best item on mix attack Iron Valiant to OHKO non-Physically Specially Defensive Gliscor and to maximize its damage output to scare away the competition Rahhh. Klefki serves as an excellent teammate for Iron Valiant providing screens support, hazards in Spikes and is able to spread paralysis via Thunder Wave. hi translator here, is it better to use Jolly Nature when Shadow Sneak is chosen over Moonblast?
heyy nashrock! I'd say no still due to the fact we still benefit from the naive nature because of Thunderbolt, handling corvi and toxapex more effectively for the team. From being a guaranteed 2hko on corvi than a chance to 2hko is huge. With pex if opted for jolly tbolt will go from 90.6 percent chance to 2hko to a 6.3 percent chance. :(
