My thoughts on the cores
Electric
Honestly, Xurkitree is pretty bad. While it can decimate stall, against offensive teams it really struggles due to its underwhelming Speed. If it had 103 base Speed (could lose 10 in each defence stat to compensate) it would be great, but alas it's just too slow and too frail. While Sticky Web does mitigate this to an extent, there are plenty of airborne Pokemon that are faster like Charizard Y, Aerodactyl, Landorus etc. Galvantula was underwhelming too, as on Bug its big USP is being able to set Sticky Web and beat most common Defoggers. But Electric already beats most of those Pokemon anyway.
Ice
I was pleasantly surprised by both mons. Piloswine is a great emergency check to the likes of Volcarona, Charziard X and Blacephalon, which normally have no trouble sweeping an Ice team. It's also an extremely consistent Stealth Rock setter, as it almost always got the Rocks up. Ice teams also beat most Defoggers, which is handy. Rotom-F was a great check to offensive Steel types like Scizor and Sand Rush Excadrill. I used a spread with enough Speed to outrun Adamant Mega Scizor, with max HP and the rest in Defence and the moves Volt Switch, Blizzard, Will-O-Wisp and Defog.[/HIDE]
Edit: I stupidly forgot to put the S in my alts, so had to ladder again. Kept running into Steel teams with Ice, which was incredibly frustrating. Fuck you Mega Scizor.
