With solid defensive typing, incredible bulk alongside Regenerator which allows it to stay healthy throughout a game, and an incredible movepool including Knock Off, Toxic, and Scald, Toxapex is the premier defensive option for bulkier teams looking for a blanket check that can scout nearly the entire metagame, including threats like Enamorus, Aegislash, Hydreigon, and Galarian Zapdos. Knock Off is Toxapex's premier way of forcing progress, removing Heavy Duty Boots or Leftovers from Pokemon like Iron Moth and Thundurus-T or Clefable and Rotom-W, respectively. Toxic is a phenomenal tool for Toxapex, allowing it to punish switch-ins like Mega Latios or Thundurus-T as well as easing matchups against threats Toxapex is tasked with checking, such as Keldeo or Galarian Zapdos. Toxic Spikes are also an option alongside teammates like Mega Latias to pressure Latias' typical checks such as Mega Tyranitar and Ting Lu, but doing so makes Toxapex much more passive. Haze allows Toxapex to shut down sweepers otherwise unbothered by Knock Off and Toxic such as Magic Guard Calm Mind Clefable and Substitute Galarian Zapdos. Scald can be used as an alternative to any of these moves as a way to threaten common switch-ins like Excadrill or Mega Venusaur with a Burn. Heavy Duty Boots are the preferred item on Toxapex as it allows it to switch in many times throughout the game without being worn down by entry hazards. However, Icium Z is an option on some stall teams to aid the team in absorbing Knock Off and blocking Trick, while also providing a powerful emergency option with Z-Haze clearing any stat changes while restoring Toxapex to full health. 60 Special Defense EVs allow Toxapex to survive Mega Latios Latios Luster Purge from full in a pinch and threaten back with Toxic, with the rest dumped into Physical Defense. Alternatively, a spread with 36 Defense EVs can be used to survive +1 Earthquake from Mega Tyranitar, with heavy investment in Special Defense to help Toxapex better handle threats like Aegislash and Iron Moth. While Toxapex is typically used on bulkier teams, offensive Pokemon like Galarian Zapdos and Mega Tyranitar appreciate Toxapex handling checks like Clefable or Keldeo for them. In return, they can check the problematic Ground- and Psychic-types such as Excadrill and Mega Latios. Skarmory and Celesteela are also notable partners for similar reasons, as they check the aforementioned threats while Toxapex can check Fire-types like Iron Moth or Victini for them. Toxapex also appreciates hazard support from Pokemon like Ting Lu and Hippowdon, as Toxapex can Knock Off items like Heavy Duty Boots from Enamorus or Salamence to force progress alongside Stealth Rock. Ting Lu and Hippowdon can also help check Electric-types like Thundurus-T or Iron Hands, while Toxapex can check opposing Water- and Grass-types like Tapu Fini or Sinistcha. Toxapex's ability to scout nearly the entire tier is also appreciate by defensive teammates like Celesteela to ensure it can safely wall threats like Latios or Enamorus lacking coverage like Mystical Fire.

Ready for QC! Note to whoever reviews this, I have edited the Set slightly. I can revert it but I believe the reasons for doing so are adequate. Also I was running out of ideas for mons at the end so if it seems repetitive I'd appreciate suggestions!

Toxic is a phenomenal tool for Toxapex, allowing it to punish switch-ins like Mega Latios or Thundurus-T as well as easing matchups against threats Toxapex is tasked with checking, such as Keldeo or Skeledirge Skeledirge is quite low on vr, try to find a better example here is possible. Toxic Spikes are also an option alongside teammates like Mega Latias to pressure Latias' typical checks such as Mega Tyranitar and Ting Lu, but doing so makes Toxapex much more passive. Heavy Duty Boots are the preferred item on Toxapex as it allows it to switch in many times throughout the game without being worn down by entry hazards. However, Icium Z is an option on some stall teams to aid the team in absorbing Knock Off and blocking Trick might be worth adding the full heal too. 96 Special Defense EVs allow Toxapex to survive Soul Dew Latios Luster Purge from full and threaten back with Toxic or Knock Off, with the rest dumped into Physical Defense. (particularly, i don't think running SpD to take a hit from Latios is valuable just to use Toxic because after that Toxapex is basically dead, + you can most likely Toxic on the switch in. Also i think this should be LO no? or just enough to live Luster from M-Latios You can discuss a new spread in QC channel as well) Alternatively, a spread with 36 Defense EVs can be used to survive +1 Earthquake from Mega Tyranitar, with heavy investment in Special Defense to help Toxapex better handle threats like Aegislash and Iron Moth. Toxapex also appreciates hazard support from Pokemon like Ting Lu and Hippowdon, as Toxapex can Knock Off items like Heavy Duty Boots from who to force progress alongside Stealth Rock. Ting Lu and Hippowdon can also help check Electric-types like Thundurus-T or Iron Hands, while Toxapex can check opposing Water- and Grass-types like Tapu Fini or Sinistcha. Defensive Pokemon with Regenerator such as Tangrowth also pair well with Toxapex, as Toxapex can answer threats like Gengar for Tangrowth and Tangrowth can answer threats like Dracozolt for Toxapex while both stay healthy with Regenerator.

i would rewrite this last sentence to how Pex can scout coverage from wallbreakers like Specs Hydra / Latios tbh to help Steela
