after maining the tier for 3 years, and still be present in the community, i got a pretty good grasp of where each player is at and how good they actually are. ofc its my opinion, but imma try to not be too bias.
S
Skarph and Zen. sometimes i wonder if they are the same person. they both like bulky builds, but can mix it up with some solid HO, while also being able to use stall at a very high level. They only use overpowered shit, hence why they are the most consistent of the bunch. Skaprh is a bit better when it comes to building, and is MUCH more active than zen so imma give him the edge... both are still S regardless
A+
Cata: The man hasnt played or built much but is an absolute beast in tours, and his prep game is the best out of every player here (tho kinda predictable at times with his double zyg teams) Playing Wise he easily S, but just been a bit inactive and out of touch with the tier
Ham: one of the best player in the tier. his teams can get a bit predictable, but not enough to losea bo3 set. he had a bad record last year, but won 2 or 3 ag tours in a row before it.
A
Megazard: Altho this man rarely builds, and his teams can get extremely predictable, he has shown how consistent he is in tours. Playing wise, he isn't inferior to anyone here. He will play top tiers every round, meaning recycling teams will only get him so far. his true viability will come down on how well he preps and builds.
Frogger: One of the most underrated player in the entire community. Playing wise extremely solid, and just like zen and skarph, only uses OP shit which helps him be consistent. He can play any playstyle, and is versa enough to build top tiers in em too. Only reason he isnt that high is his tour performance, which i havent seen much of, but based on some friendles and roomtours ive had with him, i know for a fact that he can stand his own vs anyone listed here.
Purple: Playing wise, he S for sure, but similar to cata, he been out of touch with the meta, despite making it to aglt. at first glance, based off of his tour games and etc, his teams seem very preditcable, but when its ompl times, he crancks it up a notch, and build some fire shit that just happens to have an excellent mu vs his opponents. His prep game is Cata level for sure.
A-
Arushii: Solid player, and can play a lot of playstyles at a high level. Her teams are as good as anyone elses, but idt she is at level of the rest of the bunch at A and above playing wise. Her tour perfomance tho defently shows she is capable of beating anyone here.
BaconEatinAssassin: Kind of a darkhorse. A very similar case to Frogger. underrated, plays excellently with solid teams, but his havent seen much from him. he did have 1 good tour run, and based on my games with him, he can match a lot of people on here, I simply dont know enough as of yet wheter he should be A- or higher.
MIxingDatBeat: He was a meme that turned out to be a very solid player. lots of players have a pretty bad impression of him due to his extreme usage of fucking heatran, but regardless of that, his builds are very solid, probably one of the most unique one with the choices of his mons, and the prep game for a specific opponent is above average. This would be his first time in a major tour, but i believe he can take on anyone and put up a nice performance.
DSMP: Ex-Goat, still fucks around with AG, and has made aglt. His team choices are...pretty weird ngl, but that is exactly what makes him one f the scarier dude to play this tour. Playing wise, he easily S, and his past ompl success speaks for itself. It really just comes down to how much time he is willing to invest into this tour. People believe him to be just a smeargle spammer, but he is much more than that.
S A= A and A- is pretty stacked. Everyone above is top tier, and capable of beating anyone they face...some just stand out a bit. this still dont mean a positive record is guarnteed to anyone cause the skill level is super tight. The skill difference from above and the rest of the guys below is a bit more significant
B+
GRNBLN: Solid player, very nice tour performances, nice teams, but similar to cromagnet, playing ability isnt necessarly top tier, but till very nice.
Cromagnet: Solid player, been around for ages and the most active player. Teams are always solid, but playing ability is slightly below everyone at the top, hence why B+. Still a solid pick and can get u solid chance of winning vs most
Velvet Blood: underrated person. Loves to use memes, but somehow always makes em work. The teams she uses arent always too consistent, but playing wise, he is as good as anyone else in S and below.
Highlighter: highly doubt he'll play ag, but we saw what he can do in ag open if u just give him some solid teams.
Silent Mobius: 2 time AG ssnl winner, which goes to show how consistent he can be. Altho this time, he will have to face top tiers each and every round, but im sure he can do well. Often reverts to using other's teams, but looking at AG, i cant even knock him for that, + it does bring in wins, so ig w/e works for him. Defently a solid pick for any team i think, and is another darkhorse of this draft.
lotiasite: Long time player, excellent tour performances, and been consistent thruout the years wtih it. Altho he my friend, i just simply dont know enuf about his playing ability to rank him any higher.
Holy Break or w.e he goes by now: Very solid dude. been inactive for a while now but came back recently. At his prime, he was around A, so he defenitly a good pick if he decides to invest some time into the tour.
B
zesty: Old time player, quit but is prob coming back. Ag is what he started out with in OMS, but he managed to branch himself out enough to be a nice contendor in both MNM and other stuff. Altho he was very nice in ag, and did an amazing transition to UBer where he become a top 3 player, he never fully got to his potential in this meta, hence why only B for now
Kong Harold: dude just came off of beating 2 top tiers in AG ssnl and AGLT. A very long time player, and is solid in terms of playing and building too. He a relativly unknown dude to the OM community, so I believe he can be an easy 3k for either support or playing. He can stand his own vs a fuck ton of people and can be a surprise in this tour...
Honorouble mentions(all of them here are solid players, and some can be help to an AG slot. they are also all good enough to start too and put up a good fight vs anyoner...ag is too stacked): tictactoeguru, racool, maroon, Cam, Lasen, bananaben, Neomon, Cynara, zugubu royale, Sets, Quaseem, icemaster, bdov
sorry if i left out anyone, got a shit memory. AG is pretty stacked, and everyone i listed are decent enough to win games here.
also another option can be to draft tour players, mainly Uber ones, as they'll have an extrenely easy time transitioning, and prob getting a win or two. ofc ull need builders for that so be careful.
