In this thread, you can sign up to manage in RoAPL X. There will be eight teams and twelve slots. The tiers are as following:
  • RBY OU
  • RBY OU
  • GSC OU

  • ADV OU
  • ADV OU

  • BW OU
  • BW OU

Reminders
  • You must sign up with an Assistant Manager.
  • Managers and Assistant Managers will not be allowed to buy themselves.
  • You are allowed up to 3 Retains. You must let the hosting team know before Player Signups close.

Why should the Hosting Team pick you?: We'd like to give a shot at managing, Hiro' is an ROA leader, forum mod and skilled player in multiple tiers, on top of hosting a handful of old gen tours. I'm actively managing in DPPPL as well as having hosted a bunch of old gen tours including stuff like helping with Classic and Masters. Between the two of us we know the old tiers playerbase very well and can provide support in a range of tiers.

Why should the hosting team pick you: Both of us have experience managing SPL (Hyoga was effectively the manager of the winning SPL XI Ruiners, which explains the otherwise baffling decision of spending 14k on him) and I’ve managed Team Brazil in WCOP as well.
Together, we have tons of experience in these tiers and can offer support for every slot

Why should the Hosting Team pick you?: Pix has managed many officials and side tournaments to success and I also have a bit of managing experience. I won this tournament last year so I know what it takes to win, Pix also made finals as manager last time he managed.

Why should the Hosting Team pick you?: Both of us have plenty Official and unofficial team tournament experience.

Speaking of myself, managing is the main thing I do on Smogon, with fairly good results. Last year, I have won several generational PLs from the ROA circuit as a manager, as well as having made at least playoffs in the vast majority of the tournaments I've joined, both overall and within the same circuit. I have taken part in tournaments featuring every generation that's part of RoAPL, and have been consistently doing well across those pools. On top of that, I have been a manager in two of the three Official Team Tournaments that took place in 2023, and I'm looking forward to having a good 2024 season too.

As for Void, he has also been managing in the past, be it Official or unofficial team tournaments. What contributes even more to completing our skillset, is him being a great player in many of the featured generations, hence being able to support most of our starting slots. It is worth mentioning him going 9-0 in DPP OU in the regular season of the most recent SPL, having played the tier consistently at a top level for years, as well as having tournament experience as a player in most of the other generations, both in this circuit and in other tournament contexts.

Why should the Hosting Team pick you?: I have managed in most of the Old Gens PL tiers present in this tournament, achieving multiple finals in GSC, ADV, and DPP, having won an edition of the latter. On the other hand, ACR1 has won two ORASPLs both as a player and manager, making us a duo with good knowledge of all the tournament tiers and extensive experience as managers.

Why us? I've just had my wisdom teeth removed and the tooth ache that has been holding me back is finally gone.

Mad Dawg is a BW specialist and has a history in all classic gens and oras.

I am an ADV main who has their finger on the pulse of classic gens, am managing ADVPL, and have been running the biggest discord development tour in adv for years, which has recently expanded into other gens.

Our knowledge of the tiers is immense and we have less teeth than you which probably ticks some kind of boxes.
