• Geomancy Smeargle without Power Herb. If you wanna really try that (with Sash), accumulate enough Evasion boosts first. Or just use Minimize, while waiting for Moody's boosts to come.
• Good ol' Cosmic Power + Stored Power Sigilyph, falling to Gardevoir's Destiny Bond.
• Hyper Voice Gardevoir which didn't Mega evolve during the match. It needs Pixilate to become a threat, unless you do like your opponent's Gardevoir and pick Moonblast instead.
• Tankchomp using Poison Jab on Scizor, while the only relevant target already fainted. Inverse Battle, anyone? Then it either tried to Roar or Dragon Tail Scizor instead of using EQ / Fire Blast (which were never used).

MMY does have 150 base attack iirc, so going mixed isn't that bad, although Mewtwo's physical movepool isn't that great and it has Psystrike for special walls. Azumarill was probably trying for speed control or wanted to hit Mega Venusaur, but those are moot because it has Aqua Jet, and when was the last time you saw Mega Venusaur in AG? As for Gengar, Ghost and Fairy is pretty solid coverage if you want to hit Dark mons but don't want to miss coughFocusBlastcough.
