In showdown, it says Ferroseed is banned and is in P.U, but when I played, it was not banned and I actually could use it despite saying it was banned. Why is that the case

I believe Berry Juice was simply banned at that time due to Knock Off not being as prevalent as it is now.I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, but why do people use oran berries in Generation 4 LC even though berry juice was obtainable by stealing from wild Shuckles?

I don't think there's an official cooldown in place, but I'm guessing people would be a bit hesitant to rush into another suspect right after one for the same mon just happened. Could be wrong though, look at DiglettQuick question, but is there some sort of 'minimum resuspect time period' where, if a suspected pokemon does not get banned, it cannot be put up for resuspect for a certain amount of time? For example, if torchic isn't banned for this test, but after lcpl and late lc seasonal, there is a decent sample size of high level matches which open up argument for a resuspect, can lc council resuspect so soon after a suspect?

While Long Reach is a fun Niche for Rowlet, its role was never trying to kill Ferroseed, nor will it ever. Furthermore the viability of Rowlet comes from slowpassing boosts to sweepers, which has nothing to do with Long Reach at all. Piplup was never really that viable tbh, and Defiant does not really help at all, considering the prefered set (I think) uses Scald, granted I could be wrong as this is a rather redundant pokemon. Also Snubbull certainly does not check Pawniard, quite the opposite actually. Sorry Mr Aura.I’d like to ask if Long Reach Rowlet or Defiant Piplup have any use in LC. Long Reach Rowlet could deal with Iron barbs Ferroseed pretty well in addition to Defogging the Spikes/Stealth Rock away. Defiant seems like a weird ability on Piplup but with Intimidate sets on Snubbull that check Pawniard it could predict switches into Snubbull and get the boost and kill it, letting Pawniard back in. Or are they useless/outclassed?

This is against the bulkiest Snubbull set, which is also by far the least common one. Defiant means Pawniard can't be checked unless someone were wild enough to run scarfed Snubbull (Which sounds fun, I'm gonna try that), and otherwise Close Combat is very uncommon at the moment, meaning even hard switching a Pawniard in on Snubbull is without a doubt not a very safe move, it can be done in moments of desperation as Earthquake does not kill.
196+ Atk Snubbull Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 36 Def Eviolite Pawniard: 12-16 (57.1 - 76.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I’ve checked Piplup’s stats and it’s special Attack stat is higher than Attack, so making a Defiant Piplup would be tricky. Ah, finally, a good LC Physical Water-type. I’ve been looking for a good one for a while. My Defiant Piplup is just a gimmick as I was seeing if it had any use against top LC threats. I guess not.There's also the simple problem that Defog is incompatible with Defiant, and Defog is one of the few reasons to run Piplup. If you want a physical Water-type attacker, just run Corphish. It's far stronger thanks to Adaptability and also gets access to Swords Dance.
