1 highlight from each series:

SV OU: ACR1 vs pdt -- ACR1 had a good debut. pdt has been quietly destroying the field and is one of 3 undefeated OU records rn. ACR1 will have to punch up for sure to prove his win over marcop wasn't a fluke. Meanwhile, pressure is on pdt not to drop his first game to the rookie sub. Truthfully this series doesn't have many inspiring matchups so hopefully the games are better than on paper here.

SV OU: zioziotrip vs Separation - Both players are on a bit of a redemption tournament here. ziozio is bouncing back after a decent->rough SCL, and has looked really strong this SPL. His game vs kumiko was pretty fun too, that one stood out of his 4. Separation's had two 4-4 SCLs since his last really strong SPL showing, so the 3-1 form looks to me on pace to repeat that 2022 form he was in. Nothing super flashy from either player is needed really, just want some good playing.

ADV OU: baddummy vs Triangles - The 1-3 British showdown is obviously awesome. Both players are not who I would've pegged as fighting to avoid a 1-4 this SPL but here we are. Rick imo has gotta be a bit better in mixing up his team choices (but not Ninjask) while Triangles has gotta show up more in game. Both players shore up that weakness and we have a good matchup here.

BW OU: elodin vs SoulWind - Steamy heater if SoulWind stays away from the boring stall. Elodin has imo been the best player in BW this SPL. SW obviously comes in with more credit but this is a nice battle for best on-form BWer to me. Pretty clear highlight.

SM OU: ggggd vs Garay oak - goats... both are seeing a tier change to try and bounce back from a tough 1-3 start... to a tier neither one is really known for at all. Apparently Pablo has never played a sheet game of SM OU before, and I think garay's all time count is only about 2 wcops(?), so despite having two almost-vets we have a pretty inexperienced SM game on our hands. Should make for a fun watch.

personal highlights:

SV OU: Punny vs mncmt - a great matchup between two very aggressive, very creative players. punny has consistently been one of the best players on the site in multiple tiers, and despite an even record so far, i reckon he has played really well. mncmt has been one of the best players in sv ou since the start of the generation and his streak should keep growing, as his play remains super solid. super dope matchup.

ADV OU: McMeghan vs BIHI - a surprising 1-3 from one of the all time greats now faces a tough challenge in fellow frenchman bihi. my respect for bihi as a player grew considerably after our spl season together, in which he showed he was absolutely the guy who shows up when most needed to clutch out wins. in my opinion, though, mcmeghan is simply on a different echelon of players. he's one of those guys that are always favorites going into any match, any generation, any tier. right now, both of these teams are tied with the same points and a win here would be extremely important to regain momentum for the rest of the season. it's the perfect moment for us to see bihi's clutch and mcmeghan's legendary status shine. very excited for this one.

BW OU: dice vs Nalorium - i think this is an underrated bw matchup for this week and i'm very excited to see how it turns out. nalorium's 0-4 record does not do him justice as a player, as even in this spl season he's had some moments where i think he's played pretty well. i do think he's been overcomplicating himself in the builder for this season though, and this is particularly where dice most shines as a player in my eyes. dice's 3-1 is definitely expected so far as he is one of the best bw players in the pool (and probably of all time), but i do think his play could've been a bit better in a couple of games this season. that said, dice's biggest strength should play a huge role in this matchup, as he's simply the hardest player in the pool to prep for (yes, even harder than eeveon), and i wonder how nalorium is going to address this. i think if nalo manages to find a comfortable matchup we might see an extremely fun game. also very excited for this one.

DPP OU: Void vs mind gaming - void has been the best player by a huge margin in the dpp pool so far, and his record shows. it's pretty impressive how easily he's been farming the pool too, as most of his games didn't even feel close. that said, mind gaming really impressed me this season with his switchup to dpp and his skill in a tier he's a rookie at. you usually don't see cg main players (most of all ones as fucking good as mind) venture into old generations, especially in spl of all stages, but mind's play and team structures have shown that he's definitely a dpp player to watch out for. should be a good one.

ORAS OU: Seasons vs Santu - similar building style + Sanji pfp = I'm a fan

BW OU: Fakes vs Rewer - Fakes is insane but I believe in Rewer
BW OU: Jisoo vs Dark Eeveon - the BW cooks are entertaining af

GSC OU: Siatam vs Zokuru - I have negative knowledge of this tier but I seen his ORAS/SM and I trust in the process.
