Overview
########

-Decent typing with a great ability in Thick Fat that grants two extra resistances
-Great special bulk
-Good movepool
-Decent Offensive Stats
-Slow as dirt
-Crushed by common physical threats, particularly fighting-types

Offensive
########
name: Offensive
move 1: Return / Body Slam
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Pursuit
move 4: Crunch / Fire Punch
ability: Thick Fat
item: Choice Band / Leftovers
evs: 252 Atk / 52 Def / 200 SpD / 4 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

-Return is the most powerful move for the set although Body Slam can be used if the additional paralysis chance is appealing.
-Earthquake allows Snorlax to nail potential Aggron switch-ins and hit Steel and Rock-types that resist his STAB
-Pursuit is used to trap annoying Ghost-types, particularly Chandelure, and Mismagius.
-Crunch allows for a huge chunk to be taken out of Mew and Celebi however Fire Punch allows Snorlax to destroy Escavalier and Abomasnow.
-Especially with Choice Band equipped, Self-Destruct is another viable option, allowing for an OHKO 62.5% of the time against defensive Slowbro after Stealth Rocks.
-If afraid of status effects, Facade can be substituted over a coverage or STAB move.
-Facade ignores the burn effect and allows for an extremely powerful STAB move at 140 BP at the drawback of being extremely weak before status.
-Gunk Shot with a Choice Band equipped allows Snorlax to OHKO Defensive Florges after Stealth Rocks.

Set Details
========

-Thick Fat provides useful resistances to Ice and Fire which allow Snorlax to be an effective check to Chandelure.
-Ev spread allows for Snorlax to avoid the OHKO from +1 Kingdra Outrage while boosting Attack and Special Defense. (Looking for a different spread since Kingdra is uncommon)
-4 Speed allows Snorlax to beat Slowbro and hopefully avoid a burn from Scald.
-Choice Band allows for epic power with a chance to even 2HKO Donphan with a single layer of Spikes on the field.
-Leftovers allows for passive recovery allowing Snorlax to be a more reliable switch later into the match.
-If using Leftovers a spread of 252 Atk / 88 Def / 172 SpD can be used to avoid 2HKO for Crobat's Brave Bird after Stealth Rocks.
-Assault Vest can be used to further bolster Snorlax's great Special Defense and bluff a choice set but loses out significantly on power.

Usage Tips
========

-Return is the move to be used most often if given a free move since especially with Choice Band it hits like a truck
-Snorlax is a great switch-in to Chandelure and you can simply Pursuit it no matter what it wants to do
-Utilize Pursuit to trap Special Pokemon that are threats to the rest of your team

Team Options
========

-Anything that benefits from the removal of troublesome Ghost-types will appreciate having Snorlax on the team
-Fighting-types such as Mienshao deserve a special mention
-Bulky Pokemon that can take on Fighting-types are also appreciated by Snorlax
-Slowbro, Nidoqueen, Cofagrigus, etc.

Offensive CurseLax
########
name: Offensive Curselax
move 1: Curse
move 2: Body Slam / Return
move 3: Earthquake / Crunch
move 4: Rest / Crunch / Fire Punch
ability: Thick Fat
evs: 252 Atk / 88 Def / 172 SpD
item: Leftovers / Chesto Berry
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

-Curse allows Snorlax to become a threatening sweeper, particularly in the late game, by bolstering its mediocre defense stat to make him bulky on both sides.
-Body Slam is preferred for this set as the chance for paralysis can aid in additional setup.
-Return can be used for a bit of additional power.
-Earthquake once again hits troublesome Steel and Rock-types which can stop Snorlax in his tracks.
-Crunch allows Snorlax to hit Cofagrigus, Slowbro, and Mew all of which are a pain to deal with even with Crunch.
-Fire Punch provides an alternate way to hit Steels but leaves you walled by Rock-types.
-Rest gives Snorlax the chance to avoid status, recover HP, and continue setting up and coming in throughout the match.

Set Details
========

-Thick Fat provides the necessary resistances to set up on many more things.
-Immunity is useless seeing as Rest already cures Snorlax of all status
-Ev spread allows for Snorlax to take two Brave Birds from Crobat so long as you have leftovers.
-Leftovers' passive recovery aids greatly in setting up and being able to switch in to threats
-Chesto Berry is the more offensive option allowing Snorlax to immediately begin sweeping after using Rest.

Usage Tips
========

-At the beginning of the match identify what stops Snorlax from setting up.
-These include powerful Fighting-type moves and Pokémon with phazing moves.
-Figure out how to get rid of these Pokémon without having Snorlax gets weakened.
-Also identify a Pokémon or two that Snorlax can set up on.
-Anything that relies on Toxic or weak Special Attacks are included here.
-Set up and proceed to plow through a weakened team.

Team Options
========

-This set needs something to deal with powerful Fighting-types who will be able to kill Snorlax regardless of boosts so bring something like Florges.
-Bulky Ghost-types also have good synergy so something like Cofagrigus can work by burning those Fighting-types allowing Snorlax to more easily set up on them.
-Bulky walls are the most likely to carry a phazing move so weakening them with powerful wall-breakers is greatly appreciated.
-Examples of these include Hydreigon and Heracross.
-Hydreigon compounds a Fighting weakness so be wary.

RestTalk
########
name: RestTalk
move 1: Body Slam
move 2: Whirlwind / Curse
move 3: Rest
move 4: Sleep Talk
ability: Thick Fat
evs: 68 HP / 188 Def / 252 SpD
item: Leftovers
nature: Careful

Moves
========

-Body Slam spreads paralysis allowing Snorlax to get more free turns to wrack up free damage with hazards
-Whirlwind is the primary focus of the set most times allowing Snorlax to phaze and accumulate hazards damage for the rest of the team.
-Curse can also be used for a late game setup sweeper but is generally not advised as only having Body Slam leaves open as setup fodder
-Rest gives Snorlax semi-reliable recovery when accompanied by Sleep Talk and lets him switch in throughout the match
-Sleep Talk lets Snorlax phaze and spread paralysis even while he is asleep making him not be setup fodder for opposing Pokémon.
-Sleep Talk also has normal priority so it can be used to phaze out opposing CurseLax.

Set Details
========

-Thick Fat is the preferred ability due to the absurd benefits being granted with two extra resistances.
-Ev spread allows Snorlax to live two Jolly Choice Banded V-Creates after Stealth Rocks while bolstering Snorlax's Special Defense letting it comfortably live hits like Hydreigon's Focus Blast.
-Leftovers is the item of choice to supplement Snorlax's recovery even more.

Usage Tips
========

-Use this set to wall most Special attackers and phaze them out.
-After hazards have been set up, Whirlwind will start indirectly dishing out the pain.
-Try to keep yourself topped off with Rest so that you can switch in later in the match.

Team Options
========

-Again, Florges is a great pick to accompany Snorlax by being able to deal with Fighting-types.
-Mew is another great partner seeing as they have good synergy and Mew can set up Stealth Rocks for Snorlax to abuse with Whirlwind.
-Spikes users are also useful to increase the entry hazard damage.
-Roserade is a decent choice by helping out with Snorlax's fighting weakness while Snorlax covers the Fire and Ice weakness that Roserade is plagued by.

Assault Vest
########
name: Assault Vest
move 1: Return / Body Slam
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Crunch / Fire Punch
move 4: Pursuit
ability: Thick Fat
evs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD
item: Assault Vest
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

-Return is used for maximum damage output.
-Body Slam can be used for paralysis chance.
-Earthquake covers Rocks and Steels.
-Crunch covers Ghosts and Psychics although beware as many of them carry Will-O-Wisp.
-Fire Punch is another option to hit Steels and hits Grass-types harder than Body Slam if you choose to go that route.
-Pursuit is a main staple of the set allowing Snorlax to trap dangerous ghosts such as Chandelure.
-If afraid of status effects, Facade can be substituted over a coverage or STAB move.
-Facade ignores the burn effect and allows for an extremely powerful STAB move at 140 BP at the drawback of being extremely weak before status.
-Gunk Shot is another option allowing Snorlax to decimate Florges and make it very difficult to Wish/Protect stall.

Set Details
========

-Thick Fat grants two extra resistances allowing Snorlax to comfortably tank hits.
-Evs allow for good physical bulk while making Snorlax an offensive presence.
-Since Snorlax's HP stat is so large already, investing in HP provides a form of diminishing returns.
-252 Def evs allow Snorlax to always live Adamant Honchkrow's Superpower before Stealth Rocks, and Jolly Honchkrow's Superpower after Stealth Rocks.
-Assault Vest lets Snorlax be extremely bulky on the Special side, bolstering his already good Special Defense.
-Adamant for maximum power.

Usage Tips
========

-Use this set as more of a pivot than the Offensive set.
-This set excels at coming in on special attackers and forcing them out with Snorlax's good offensive presence.
-Therefore, double switching can be a powerful tool in order to gain favorable matchups for your teammates.

Team Options
========

-Wish support is greatly appreciated on this set seeing as if tries to be a sponge more than a wall breaker.
-Florges once again fits the bill, dealing with Fighting-types, providing Wish support, and healing potential burns from random Scalds.
-Hazards will help to punish your opponent since Snorlax can force many Pokémon out.
-Mew, Roserade, and Nidoqueen are all good examples of pokemon that can lay hazards and help Snorlax's weakness to Fighting-types.
-Since Snorlax is so bulky on the Special side, Pokémon that are threatened out by strong special attackers appreciate Snorlax's help.

Other Options
########

-Snorlax has a wide special movepool consisting of moves such as Hyper Voice, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Focus Blast, and Surf but unfortunately lacks the the Special Attack to use such a set.
-Counter can be used to abuse Physical attackers who would try to wear Snorlax down but ultimately is useless due to Snorlax's already good offensive presence.
-Toxic or Yawn can be used to force switches and spread status throughout the opposition.
-Belly Drum can be used to really increase Snorlax's power but leaves him vulnerable to revenge killing since his Speed stat is atrocious.
-Block could be used to trap a Pokémon that cannot hurt Snorlax and set up right in its face. However, this usually requires too many moveslots and is usually not viable.
-Seed Bomb can be used as a way to nuke Rhyperior and Swampert.
-Gunk Shot destroys Florges.
-Double-Edge can be used for additional power on offensive sets.
-Brick Break, Superpower, and Focus Punch all provide Fighting-type coverage which can be useful to deal with Rock and Steel-types.

Checks & Counters
########

-It is difficult to counter Snorlax seeing as he has so many different sets that he can run.
-Offensive sets fall to extremely bulky Pokemon such as Mew who avoids the 2HKO from Crunch after burning Snorlax before the second attack.
-Clever switching to resists can have the Choice Band set in shackles leaving it worn down by hazards and chip damage.
-Snorlax is often at the mercy of Phazers if running a Curse set.
-The Whirlwind set is 33% of the time immobile after using Rest leaving it open for setup or just free damage.
-Powerful Fighting-types will almost always be able to break through Snorlax.
-Strong physical hits in general can severely weaken Snorlax leaving him prone to becoming death fodder later on in the match.

Unslash Body Slam and put Double Edge in its place on the offensive set. Leave Body Slam for RestTalk sets

Give AV its own set. The item causes a different EV spread to be required. Place this set above offensive.

I'll do the Curselax and RestTalk sets for you. Actually, its probably best to do Curselax as an offensive RestTalk set and make RestTalk more defensive. Here:

Curselax (Offensive RestTalk)
########
name: Curselax
move 1: Curse
move 2: Body Slam / Return
move 3: Rest
move 4: Sleep Talk
ability: Thick Fat
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
nature: Adamant

Defensive RestTalk
########
name: RestTalk
move 1: Rest
move 2: Sleep Talk
move 3: Body Slam
move 4: Whirlwind
ability: Thick Fat
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
nature: Careful

Not QC or anything, but you may want to slash Immunity in the offensive set. Having resistances to Fire and Ice type moves is nice, but Immunity is a good option, especially when you're not running Rest. gamer boy your Defensive Rest Talk set doesn't do much at all. I really don't see the point of having Whirlwind in there. A set of Rest, Sleep Talk, Earthquake, and Toxic could be used. Body Slam is a fine slash on the offensive set because getting that last minute paralysis can win you the match. Unless Return guarantees more OHKO's or 2HKO's, Body Slam is a good slash. Meowiekins I think you should go into more detail as to why the offensive Snorlax set is running those evs.

The purpose of Whirlwind is to phaze stuff out with a +0 prioroty Whirlwind. While, admittedly, Snorlax is slow, it can easily deal with opposing Curselax with this little trick should it be asleep when it comes in and you can outpace paralyzed stuff. That is the purpose of the moveset. I am starting to think, however, that it is probably best to keep the offensive spread, but keep the Calm nature for the extra bulk provided. Also, there is no reason at all to run Immunity over Thick Fat: two resistances provided by Thick Fat are far better than an immunity to a status which is usually only dealt out by one move.

i have also noticed that you have 4 speed EVs on the offensive spread. Creeping + contributions and corrections is a no-no.

To his defense, the standard offensive Snorlax set last gen also ran 4 Speed EVs, specifically to outpace Slowbro and Cofagrigus. Not sure if you wanna count that as creeping (I mean you can blanket it by saying it's to outrun opposing uninvested base 30s) but there is an established precedent to take note of

edit: Also you could post a defensive Curselax (Classic Curselax) set such as this:

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 68 HP / 188 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Body Slam / Return
- Crunch / Sleep Talk
- Rest

EV spread is similar to the one for it from last gen, but I tweaked it so that Snorlax is able to avoid the 2HKO Jolly CB Victini's V-Create after Rocks, while still tanking LO Hydreigon's Focus Blast comfortably. It differs from the standard offensive Curselax in that it depends more on its great bulk to allow more setup opportunities at the cost of extra coverage

Alright, at least the bones for all the sets are up. Still testing on PS to try and finalize some ev spreads for certain sets. Also, the order of the sets probably needs to be rearranged as the two most successful sets I've used have been the AV and the Offensive set, followed by Offensive CurseLax. Feedback welcome, sorry this took so long, work and such.

I think Self Destruct needs a mention in the Offensive and/or AV set (not necessarily slashed). It can really open up some opportunities for teammates.

Agreed, and also there needs to be a mention in both the Ass Vest and the Offensive sets of Facade to take advantage of status—the fact that it ignores burns actually makes them viable. It's stronger than any other STAB move, but comes with the drawback of being piss weak when not statused.

Edit: Oh yea and no Immunity slash imo. Thick Fat is too important to deal with the Special Fires

Implemented those changes, added in mention of Gunk Shot as well, and explained the 252 Def evs for AV set.

Meowiekins There isn't any real reason to run Immunity on the AV set as 2 resistances are so much better than an immunity to a status (which is only commonly activated by 1 move). Remove it.
