The Sneak Tournament
Introduction
Inspired by some great tournaments held in the past, this tournament will involve 128 players on one of 16 teams competing against one another in XY OU and BW2 OU.
Players that are matched up against one another will play one XY game and one BW2 game. If a player wins both games, he advances. If the players split the games, the person that lost the fewest Pokemon in the first two games will choose if the tiebreaker will be XY or BW2. If both players lose the same number of Pokemon, the tiebreaker will be XY by default. This will be a team tournament. There will be 16 pre-selected captains, and they will be responsible for finding 7 other players to form a team.
Rules
- Matches must be played on Pokemon Showdown.
- Standard clauses apply.
- This will be a 128-man, single elimination tournament.
- There will be 16 teams with 8 players each.
- Players will score points for their team depending on how many rounds they win, similarly to the Smogon Tour. Click here to see how points are scored.
- Efforts will be made to prevent teammates from having to face one another, but this can't be guaranteed in later rounds.
- There will be no substitutes past Round 1 so captains are encouraged to find active players.
- NO JOHNS! Deadlines will be short as always.
